Customer service is fantastic. Carrots with labneh was a beautiful combination of flavors. Pork belly was excellent. And the cheese starter was very tasty. I tried the veggie platter ... 4 adorable little vignettes of vegetables, each deliciously spiced. Great work happening here!

A great experience from beginning to end. We stumbled across this little restaurant tucked away in a shopping center. It's not very large but there was enough room to be comfortable and socially distanced. The pork chop was the best I've ever had. The green beans and tomatoes were unique and different from what I expected. There was a subtle sweetness from the tomatoes and a slight spicy kick from the seasonings and it paired well with the grilled chicken. Everything was fresh and everything was cooked perfectly. Dessert was just as elegant as dinner. The spice cake had the perfect blend of cardamom, Chinese 5 spice, and cinnamon. It was balanced by candied pecans and 2 sauces. The restaurant was clean and the servers were friendly and attentive. Only downside...they will be closing until February.

I was so pleasantly surprised! This quaint restaurant had a pleasing atmosphere, friendly staff, and delicious food. Everyone was attentive even though the place was full. The Chicken, and potatoes were amazing. It may have been the juiciest chicken I've ever eaten. I highly, highly recommend it. I plan to return and try other menu options.

Urban Kitchen deserves all the hype! Not gonna lie, I was a little hesitant to try it out (despite it having been on my radar for a while) since it’s in a strip mall section next to the grocery store. But don’t let that deter you - the food and drink was phenomenal, as was the service.

There are not many seats inside so the earlier you go the better, especially since they do not take reservations. Made for an enjoyable socially distanced vibe. I feel if they had curtains or something on the front windows to obscure the parking lot views, it would only make it that much cozier.

A cozy restaurant with a small carefully curated menu. The orange tea cocktail was refreshing yet flavorful. Rockfish was tender inside with nice seasonings outside. Catfish appetizer was also delicious with hot tender fish inside a nice crunchy crust. It’s a small place so the wait may be long. If you live nearby you may consider putting down your number and return later.

The food was absolutely fantastic! A lady working at the Hampton Inn suggested the Urban Kitchen and said that of all the places to eat on the Outer Banks this was her favorite. She showed us a listing of all the restaurants and this is the one we picked after asking multiple questions. She did not steer us wrong. Go try it. You won’t break the bank either!

What a hidden (in plain sight) gem! Don’t be put off by the strip mall location. The atmosphere inside is cozy and cool, and the food is next-level amazing. Everything is crafted with care, from the cocktails to the desserts. Four of us shared a generous appetizer of crab and avocado bruschetta, and then enjoyed the roasted chicken, salmon, and pork chop mains. The service was friendly and attentive, and our food arrived in perfect time. We are so happy to have discovered Urban Kitchen (in the off-season, to boot) and will definitely be back.

In the Outer Banks, this restaurant is simply not to be missed. An unsuspecting, tucked away, quaint locale offers locally sourced, high quality food at an extremely reasonably price. As the restaurant is first come, first serve, advise you arrive as soon as it opens for the day so you can nab a seat. You don't want to miss Urban Kitchen!

I've been sharing reviews for awhile now, and I wish I hadn't been so liberal with the 5 stars. It cheapens this place. In a word AMAZING.

The food is exceptional. The flavors created by the chef pairing his protein with the sides are on point. They know what they are doing.

I had the pork chop, my wife had the chicken. Both were scrumptious. I actually gnawed at the bone...despite being in public. They also offer a steak and fish..tonight it was fresh caught flounder.

Very clean, they are dealing with Covid by limiting customers and have outdoor seating. Very friendly and professional staff and a GREAT bar menu.

You must visit.

Both my wife's and my meal were fantastic. Truely, some of the best food that we have ever had. Very quaint atmosphere. We will definitely be visiting again next year. They ask that you do not request substitutions. However, they were able to accommodate for a food allergy.

A huge thank you to Urban Kitchen for seating us without a reservation on my birthday & our anniversary last week! We took a chance and it certainly paid off. The strip steak & fries were to die for! Omgosh! Staff was wonderful, good was outstanding, and the service was great! Kudos to the chefs! I would go back in a heartbeat! We wished we had arrived much hungrier as there were appetizers & desserts we certainly would have ordered. Thanks again for giving us a perfect celebration dining experience!

This is by far the best Resturant in all of OBX. It is a gem tucked away in Corolla. We have traveled all over the world and compare this restaurant to every place we go and nothing even comes close. Their catfish has been a staple of ours since they started serving, it’s amazing. I’m not sure who the goofball is who said it was not good. You clearly don’t have a mature palate. Maybe you should go to food lion and get some fish sticks. This is an amazing Resturant and if you are anywhere close to OBX you should look it up and pay Jen and Joe a visit. Between the two of them and their amazing crew they will knock your socks off. This place is five stars all the way!!! Eric and Shirley👍

Appetizer, entrees, and desserts were cooked and seasoned to perfection. Would give 10 stars. FYI, small menus mean great food. If you have a large party go to a large restaurant.

Just had the most amazing meal at Urban Kitchen! Had the beet salad and the grouper- fish of the day. Amazing fresh food, service was fantastic and drinks were good. My husband had the avocado app and chicken dinner, he love his as well. Our friends also had the grouper. So good we are planning to go back tomorrow!!

We had an amazing dinner at this restaurant. The food was truly spectacular!! Reading through the reviews I am saddened to see how many bad reviews they get by people that didn’t even dine here. They have a strict policy of no parties over 6, and no split parties. This is a husband/wife run business - this is their livelihood. They have these policies in place for a reason. If you love good food in a great atmosphere don’t miss out on this gem!!!

The food here is fabulous! Very unassuming from the front entrance, but you walk into a cozy- modern vibe. Service was excellent. Everyone at our table tried something different, from fish to pork chop to salads to the vegan option. Everyone raved about their dish. Highly recommend. Best meal we’ve had in Corolla hands down.

What a fantastic place! Wonderful food and staff is just lovely. It is a small place, so no large parties, but it is worthwhile for a wee wait for the experience and food.

We ended up visiting this gem not once but twice on our visit to the Outer Banks. Incredible food & cocktails. Service is also exceptional. It was so good that we decided to go back another night of our trip. We tried multiple starters and entree’s and everything was phenomenal! Looking forward to our visit in 2023, just to enjoy this restaurant!

Top shelf dining to say the least. Intimate dining, no reservations allowed, accommodating during the wait to be seated. Aside from the food being carefully plated, ingredients personally selected, and local farm to table; the owners are the chefs and in my experience, that says enough about the quality and dedication to presentation. The price is on par with quality of food. This is the place every foodie should try. I wish you all the best success and I hope to dine with you again. Looking forward to next season’s menu.
