Sooo good😌 lovely restaurant muy bien ambiente too 😉worth the drive!

The restaurant is clean and the employees are so nice, but the food ..... the food is where it's at. The salsa was hot and spicy, the chips are hot and fresh. We had one chicken and one beef chimichanga, and they were so good!! The rice was amazing, the beans delicious, and the cheese sauce was incredible. I thought my husband was going to lick the plate! Amazing place, can't wait to go back.

Food is amazing and such a variety! Huge menu it will take us a while to work through it especially when we already have favorites now that we've been there a few times. Molcajete is fantastic and very filling especially if you are a meat lover. Oh and the street corn is on another level!

Our favorite for Mexican food. Their ground beef is sensational.
Prices are very reasonable, service had always been top notch.

LOVE THIS PLACE!! My Wife and I are on first name basis with just about the entire staff! Edwin, Pablo, and Litzy are our go-tos but the entire staff knows how to take care of their patrons! The food is great, the drinks are awesome, and the atmosphere is very welcoming! If you haven't been, GO!! Fernando is the man!! Thank you San José for being the next thing to family!!

The shrimp and shallots with rice and salad in cheese sauce was very good. The fresh cut carved out pineapple stuffed with steak, chicken, onions , peppers and chunks of the pineapple was to die for. The sweet taste of the pineapple juice and chunks with the meat is something I would have not thought I would like but I will be going back for that in the future!! Always good, fresh, and consistent. I have been eating here since it opened more than 10 years ago. It's clean and fresh, Tex-Mex style food, not heavy or greasy like the more traditional Mexican fare. They serve the normal tacos, burritos, fajitas, and enchiladas, but balance the menu out with several neo-mexicana cantina offerings like Pollo Loco and many vegetarian dishes. Service is always good, serving drinks from a full bar or just soft drinks or tea.

San Jose is one of my family's favorite local restaurants. It has a wonderful cozy atmosphere and the food is fantastic. The chips and salsa is off the chain also. In fact, they have a nice variety of Mexican cuisine to dine on and their chicken chiminchanga s are the best. If you are in Whiteville NC looking for something different that won't break your pocket, be sure and give them a try. I do not think you will be disappointed.

Food was great. Guacamole was the best and I don't even eat guacamole!!

Delicious food every time! Staff is extremely attentive! I usually go with my work crew and they never disappoint. Their regular and spicy salsa are delicious!

On the way back from vacation we stopped to eat, the food was amazing. Clean restaurant, and very nice people to welcome you.

Everything about this place is top level, the staff was outstanding, the food fresh and delicious and the table clean. Will come again when we’re back in the area.

My wife and I love the fajitas Texanas (just make sure you get extra shrimp and tortillas) and the white cheese dip for the tortilla chips is absolutely awesome!!!! We're usually always pleased with San Jose!!!

The food was really good but it did not come like I ordered it. Our waiter, Tanner, was always attentive and polite.
