Bur-Mil Park

This is such a nice place to go to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life, whether you are walking or jogging, hiking or biking, there is so much here to explore. The facilities and trails are well-maintained. The scenery is beautiful, and the wildlife is abundant.
I recommend Bur-Mill Park to everyone. I will definitely be going there again!

Nice park and great tables to set and enjoy weather. You can find good trails to walk through and nice area to do fishing (though there are no fish's), yes go please!

This park provides access to a variety of trails, some paved, with many remote areas for hiking. There are facilities for fishing the lake and lots of walkers and lots of bikes, but it is easy to find a quiet space for contemplation. The colors in the Fall are remarkable , Spring is truly wonderful, and the Summer days up under the pines in the center of the Owl's Roost trail are tranquil and serene. This park has connecting trails to many other popular hikes as well as those contained within the park. Busy weekends, quiet during the week.

During this time of the pandemic, the trails at Bur-mil (near the wildlife center) have provided our family the greatest joy to our spirit. The City of Greensboro has our gratitude for preserving and maintaining this wonderful sanctuary.

We love taking walks down both directions.
The trail that goes towards Strawberry road is less challenging but also has less tree cover. The highlight of this trail is the small clearing near the lake where you can enjoy the cool breeze of the lake. It's also a great place to hang your hammock.

The trail that goes straight down from the wildlife center is more interesting because it bends and curves and goes up and down constantly. It also has a good tree cover throughout. The highlight of this trail is the bench on the left at the big metal bridge. Waiting for people to vacate the bench soon is expecting too much! It's a wonderful place to sit, relax and enjoy the view of the lake. Don't forget the flask of hot coffee and cookies.

My only criticism is that some cyclists ride too fast down the trail, which can be extremely dangerous as there are many families with kids and elderly people that walk down these trails. However, the majority of the cyclists ride responsibly.

Where do I start, this park is absolutely amazing. I love how the park have areas to rest and renew yourself or even stretch! The views are stunning as well.
On the trail you will see lizards, turtles, ducks, dogs (on the leash) bike riders, runners, and walkers(fast paced) from.time to time. Mom's with strollers rock!
I do recommend everyone to try this park at least once. You can start on the battleground side and cross over the bridge, or start next to the wildlife center. Either way you will definitely get a food 5-7miles on this trail. Have FUN!!

Beautiful lake Brent with lush green trees with amazing nature and sunsets.

I came here for a fall festival. I have been here before to go to the playground. This place is amazing. There is so much space. There are trails. There's fishing. The clubhouse is top notch and I only saw the screened on porch with its row of rocking chairs. It's way out off of Battleground, but worth the trip.

Beautiful park. Went on a Saturday afternoon and it was such a nice time. The trail they have is perfect for running, biking, or walking (me😁). Very relaxing area. Have plenty of places to sit down and read too

Bur-Mil park has excellent trails and a variety of volleyball training spaces. Our organization has our end of season parties here and we are big fans of this park.

Great place to go visit and hangout with the family. I went there for a friends daughter birthday, they shelters were nice and clean. I would recommended it, plus it’s right next to the lake if you want to take a look. There are also trails you can use to take a walk or use your bike. Overall I really recommend it.

Best walk ever. Visiting friends and they took on us this walking trail. The beauty of creation is awesome! Worth the walk esp with great friend's!!!

Highly recommend this park for your next family gathering or birthday party. The shelter rental process is super quick, easy, & best of all AFFORDABLE!

In addition, their fishing spots are great! I was recently told by their office employee that they no longer charge a fee to fish so bring your whole family for a catch & release fun filled day😊.

Best park for a wide range of long, and mostly private nature trails and greenways. Beautiful and highly recommended!

Nice easy hike. Long, and no facilities so bring your water bottle and be prepared if you need to use the restroom often 😉

Enjoyed the paved greenway. Everyone's etiquette was great while riding their cycles. Nice and quiet and serene. Definitely an easy walk to clear your mind.
