King's Mountain Point

I live about 90 mi away from this location but enjoy visiting it multiple times a year to observe the seasonal changes. My primary use is camping and hiking but occasionally I will have a picnic out at Kings Mountain Point. It's great to have a National Forest close to where I live so that I can use it often.

Beautiful, wild, vast. Loved the trail on my first visit to the forest and the lake. I'll definitely come back!

Great place to watch the water, have a picnic or a wedding. Has plenty of pull off places to be by yourself. It has a paved walk way all the way around the point . The dirt road to it can be dusty or muddy. But over all 10/10

Pretty views and easy to walk through it. Lots of spots for fishing if you're into that. Also pretty quiet when I went

Absolutely beautiful place to go! I have been to baden lake many times but never found or heard of this hidden gem. Yea sure, I had to pick up some burnout loser's trash off the dock. But it was worth it to preserve this place.

Gorgeous sunsets across the lake. Picnic tables and benches every 50 ft around the peninsula with a paved trail connecting them with the parking lot. Handicap accessible all around

Ample parking, nice picnic areas with grills and a lakeside view. Floating dock for fishing as well

Very nice. Picnic area, nice pier. Took my mom & dad who are elderly, and my kids here from Florida visiting. The pier was easy to walk out on and has tall rails and benches. Bathrooms were close.

Always love to go here mostly to enjoy the drive. Also a nice place to walk, stretch your legs or even fish. A little busier in the summer time months but very peaceful when it’s cooler. Fall is a wonderful time to enjoy this drive.

Beautiful part of the Uhwarries. Take a lovely stroll around the point overlooking Badin lake, stopping to picnic or enjoy the view along the way.

There is a wide open area atop the hill at the point, good for frisbees/discs or kite flying, etc. A number of trails are available in the surrounding area within the forest as well: hiking, biking, OHV. Explore the beauty of the Uhwarries. Breathe it in.

We loved this place! The only downfall is the bathrooms, not the ideal place to go. The views are so pretty and the grounds well maintained.

Highly accessible picnic spaces with grills and nice lake views, especially in the fall/winter. Flat, paved walkways. Potable water spigots next to, but no running water inside, the bathrooms. Bring a dolly to haul gear to the best sites.

Great place to enjoy the outdoors. Hiking tail and lots of picnic tables and grills! Wonderful spots right on the lake or in the trees. Dog friendly too

Nice spot and the place to go in to swim wasn't all mucky. And pets allowed.

A little misleading, since it's in Uwharrie and not king's mountain, but it's a wonderful park nonetheless. Pretty quiet, since there is no paved road going there. I don't recommend taking a regular sedan here, unless you are feeling extremely adventurous.
Small pier, but seems great for fishing.
Plenty of parking.
