I am so very pleased with the way I was handled by Dr. O'Keefe and his wonderful staff. I cannot say enough good things at this point. One very big plus is that they were able have my crown fabricated on site rather than get the impression and come back in 2 weeks like in the past. The process involved a digital scanning of my tooth and bite. At that point the crown is created, fired and then fitted
Total time in chair for cleaning and crown replacement was about 3 hrs.
I am so very happy to have found Southern Smiles and Dr. O'Keefe, I feel my dental health is assured. :)

Have always loved the staff but, this was my first time meeting Dr O'Keefe that has taken over since Dr Tripp and he is hands down THE BEST dentist I have ever been to!! Had to have my very first extraction done and he took his time making sure I was in absolutely no pain!! His bed side manner is amazing and has the nicest, calmest attitude!! Would hands down refer anyone to him!! Southern Smiles is the greatest!!

Best place ever, got me in the same day and they were super nice and have been working on my smile ever since.

This place is absolutely spectacular.

I notice that there are several negative reviews regarding wait times, but allow me to offer a counterpoint. Southern Smiles is one of the few pediatric dentists around the Pitt County area who accepts Medicaid, every time I wait in the office there are usually several children. My toddler's first appointment it took her quite a while to open up and become comfortable. The doc and his wonderful team of nurses have never once made us feel rushed.

I love, love, love this office. 6/5 stars.

There are quite a few issues to deal w/when you're a cancer patient. The radiation & chemo that you receive helps w/the cancer & at the sametime hurts/kills the calcium in your body. Which, makes your teeth/bones more brittle & way more susceptible to everything. This is what I am (cancer patient) & what has happened to me. So, when it comes to being diagnosed & treated, you want someone that's not only knowledgeable but understanding & personable. Dr. Andrew & his staff are exactly that, & they're just absolutely phenomenal!! So, when it comes to having to wait a lil while past my appt. time, I will gladly do so & I'll do it patiently. They're worth so much more than 5 Stars most definitely!!!

My 5 year-old was scared of the dentist chair, so Pam, sat on the floor with him. She sang songs, brushed his teeth, and checked his teeth out. She was awesome. It made the experience great. The dentist was so child- friendly too. He even got my 1 year-old to open his mouth and enjoy the visit.
This was our first visit. We used to go to a different dentist office and always left in bad moods because the experience was always awful.
I am so thankful we made the switch. If you are looking for a dentist, give them a try, you won't regret it.

Dr. O’Keefe is kind, compassionate and all around amazing! I have been through so much in my almost 70 years. Many areas and many dentists he is the best of the best. His staff are also amazing! Thanking God every day That I was guided to him.

I had a dental emergency with a fractured tooth. Dr. O'Keefe and his staff were great. They worked me in and went above and beyond in fixing my tooth. Very friendly and helpful the entire time I was there.

So the crown on my tooth implant came off and I nearly had a nervous breakdown. One of the many dental offices I called recommended Southern Smiles. The polite and professional lady who answered understood how I was feeling and got me in immediately! After filling out paperwork, I didn’t have to wait long to be called. Now my smile is back to normal, I mean seriously tears of joy over here! Absolutely recommend Southern Smiles!!!

By far this is the best dentist I've ever been to and I've been to a lot Dr Andrew is so sweet his staff are amazing ifyou have anxiety about a dentist he will make you feel safe he's got you for sure!

I hate the dentist and they made it bearable. The hygienist was kind and gentle with the teeth cleaning, (I'm a baby with sensitive teeth), and the dentist was great.

Everyone is so friendly and knowledgeable. They went out of their way to help me and each other. The best dentist office I have ever experienced.

Friendly down to earth staff. 🥰 Every staff member throughly explains every step. I love that! ❤

Dr.O’keefe is an amazing dentist. He is very kind and explains everything to you as he’s doing it. All of his staff are very kind and friendly especially selene! I recommend this office to everyone I know.

Today ,y'all made my son smile big for the first time in 7 year's, when not another dentist would touch him, until he was 18...for that I am forever grateful....we felt alot of love and compassion for the past few years for this very day to happen...thank you from the bottom of this mom's heart.❣❣
