We love this branch! They are uniformly friendly, helpful, and accommodating! Hands down our favorite SECU branch in Greensboro. Special mention needs to be made of Foram, as well - she is a stellar teller, remembering our names and usual needs, and going the extra mile in every way in the months that we've been going here. Good branch and great people!

I have been a very active member of SECU over 40 years. I have had accounts, credit card and major loans at SECU. I’ve banked with several institutions for the past 60 years and the best of them don’t come even close to the professionalism, expediency and high quality financial and customer services that I receive at the NC State Employees Credit Union - and that includes not just my local branch, but every other branch office I have used across North Carolina. If you qualify for membership, you would be missing a lot if you don’t join and take advantage of their quality services.

Very smooth, very professional experience doing a car loan and depositing unusual checks there. Can recommend it to anyone. (Well, anyone who qualifies for State Employees' Credit Union...)

I love SECU, however a bank teller here named Foram is very cold and borderline rude to customers. Went in to make a deposit and she was very rushing and rude, especially when handing me the receipt after the transaction.

I walked in ready to make a deposit and have money cashed from a check I received recently. This check was for 10,000 from an account with Wells Fargo. The lady who assisted me asked for help from her coworker (another clerk) who sat beside her, who took over. Brandon is his name. I let him know I have received checks from this person for years, around the same time. They said they saw but they needed to put a hold on the check. I asked why a hold was necessary seeing as how I have history of his checks being cleared for years. Brandon then told me to go to Wells Fargo. I then told him I had contacted places where I have medical bills that I need to pay today, and that I needed it in my account today, because of the urgency of paying them. He then said, very loudly so everyone in the bank, customers and employees, “I will not cash a 10,000 check for you from a personal account!” Brandon made a point to draw attention from everyone around him. He was accusing me of fraud, and it was clear. I then told him he was very unprofessional and asked for the person in charge, who is the VP and she did what I asked her to with my check. Please address this with Brandon at this location. I am never going back into this branch, and I am researching other banks to transfer to at this time. Brandon was highly inappropriate and unprofessional and degrading.

Awful experience. Had a unique situation regarding a members paycheck that did not get direct deposited. As the employees employer I felt I needed to get the check deposited into his wife's account. (which is where he had his direct deposit coded to go) They were out of town for their anniversary and it was my responsibility to get the money in their account. Beth at their branch in Mt Airy was extremely helpful in researching to find out why the money was not deposited. I went to the branch on New Garden Road in Greensboro with check in hand, where I was met by a prissy female manager who did not take the time to let me explain what I was trying to do. She just said it couldn't be done. She did not even try to help me resolve this situation. I proceeded to my bank where I cashed his check and took the check back to the New Garden location and they gladly took the cash. No star was not an option!

Me and my husband opened a joint checking account and were seen by mr. Hennessee and we transferred 200 dollars into that account. We signed all paperwork given to us. We wait to get our cards in the mail and the cards got lost so they send them again. We receive them and I go to check the balance and the money was never transferred into the account. So basically we thought we had 200 more dollars than we had bc it was never taken out of the account. When I called the bank to figure out what was going on the lady was very rude and couldn't really offer any explanation. Very disappointed.
