Visiting NC and wanted to take a hike while hubby was working. This was a beautiful trail and I saw a very large Heron and a few other people out, but no crowds whatsoever. The visitor center was open and had very clean restrooms! When we go back to visit NC next year, I will definitely return. Love NC.

Lovely and easy trail along the river. You can walk at your own pace. Trail is natural and you will find some broken branches etc as expected.

You will find natural sitting places (large fallen tree trunks) to relax a bit.

After some time you will cross a bridge. Great scenery!!!

Slightly hilly trail with great scenery. Saw frogs, bright green beetles, and beautiful lush trees. For anyone around the Eno, this is a must see.

Great trail! Rocky and a few steep stairs. Connects to the Ridge Trail and Holden Mill Trail.

Beautiful trail along the Eno River.

One of the many beautiful areas to explore along the Eno River. There are several shallow areas to play in the water. The trails are definitely worth hiking and I love the bridge at this location.

Also, because this is outside, please be aware that snakes and other wildlife are here and need to be respected. You may see a venemous snake, just stay as far away as you can and go around it.

Great place to hike, splash around in the water, or put a canoe/kayak in for a fun afternoon. There is also fishing here, which is always a hit with the kids.
The trails are easy to moderate, with some elevation changes that require climbing stairs or slopes.
The ford is ankle deep unless there had been a lot of rain, so it's good for the younger kids to play in the water too.
Be aware of unleashed dogs - the sign says no unleashed dogs, but I come across someone without their dog on a lead every time I hike here.

Very pretty 1.5 mile loop trail. It definitely has some inclines on the way back (my watch recorded 12 flights of stairs!) But with good weather and lots of shade, this hike only takes 45 minutes and is a must-see. Definitely pretty popular, so look at other trails (such as Cox mountain trail) if you're looking for something more secluded.

I love that this trail isn't one of the super crowded ones and gives you a pretty good workout coming back up towards the lot. There's also another longer loop off this one that adds to the fun! Definitely one of my favorite Eno trails. Lots of scenery.

Fun trail. You can see the creek and wade into the creek when it's hot. Beware of snakes. Deer can also be seen here sometimes. Many trails to choose from. Great to take kids and pets. Restroom also available by parking area.

This is one of my favorite trails in all of RDU. Combined with the Holden's Mill trail it's a good length hike and the scenery leaves little to be desired. Absolutely love this trail and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a moderate rugged hike

tubing is good. flip flops are not recommended, water shoes way better. think "splish-splash", not swimming.

Relatively short, but a pleasant trail. Holden's Mill trail is much longer and harder if you need more challenge.
