Dr. Gift and his staff have been instrumental in preserving our dogs vision after our little buddy suddenly suffered from lens luxation requiring emergency surgery. This all meanwhile helped us discover that he was also suffering from glaucoma and had we not had this issue addressed, our dog of 6 years would have certainly suffered from blindness sooner or later. Our dog recovered from surgery and is doing well, his vision has recovered and the ocular pressures have decreased with routine medications - a cost that is well worth it as it preserves his quality of life and our comfort in knowing our dog is healthy and visual. Thanks Animal Eye Care for your continued care for our dog. Woof!

We were exhausted from multiple visits to our vet with no remedy. This doctor looked at our dog for 5 minutes and had no hesitation about what was ailing him. He thoroughly explained the treatment and medicines and game plan. We aren’t out of the woods yet but I’m so impressed. And they were fast and efficient getting us an appointment and getting us inside when we arrived. They come out to your car and get the dog. We were given so much hope for our dog’s eyes here.

I can't say enough good things about Dr. Gift and Karen. They were super supportive and informative when I brought my cat in for an exam. She had a mass in her eye. He gave me several options for treating, or not treating. Ultimately we chose to have the eye removed. They were super easy to work with on drop off and pick up. Karen let me know what was happening when. When I went in to pick up the cat they were quick, but thorough with their post-operative instructions. Everything was on a printed sheet- super easy to read. They gave me the meds she needed. Our cat is healing really well, and had only one day where she wasn't feeling well. We are on her 3rd day post-operatively, and she seems back to her"normal" self. I know that a large part of that is due to the care she received on the day of surgery. Many thanks to this excellent team!

My little pitty Ruby had been having an eye issue that my normal vet could not identify. Unfortunately, by the time of her appointment, Ruby had gone blind in her affected eye. Immediately Dr. Gift was able to determine the issue. Uveal Melanoma lead to a cataract, vision loss and extreme pain. Her eye was removed that day, no waiting! Everyone in the office was extremely kind and patient with me as I was a wreck. The procedure was completed and Ruby is doing great! I'm a nervous dog Mom and asked to send pictures in for confirmation that things are going OK. The office replied within minutes! I feel like this team truly cares. THANK YOU!

Our Australian Heeler was stung in her eye by a wasp in the backyard while out with our other dogs. After Dr. Creech at East Wake referred us to Dr. Gift, the issue immediately started to improve with a course of three eye drops three times a day. We received very clear instruction on what was to be considered positive and negative progress. After several weeks of treatment, our dog's eye is almost 100% better. We are overjoyed to find a dedicated eye professional for the pups. Our normal vet did us such a great service by referring us to these guys. Thanks for helping us through this terrible ordeal!

Our 11 year old Min Pin is our fur baby. He was diagnosed with diabetes in January 2020 and went blind in late April 2020. It was upsetting & heartbreaking. I was referred to Animal Eye Care by our vet. Dr. Gift and his staff are so nice, empathetic & welcoming from my initial phone call, to the initial consult, to cataract removal surgery. They have a system in place, due to Covid-19 that is well organized. They are very informative. I can not say enough. PLUS my pup has his eyesight back. It is amazing. Thank you Dr. Gift and staff. You are all wonderful!

My 7-year terrier mix had a large corneal ulcer on her left eye; after 5 weekly visits to her vet, she’d exhausted all of her options and recommended I call Animal Eye Care. I called on Monday morning at 10:30 and the receptionist asked if I could have her there at 11:00 and I said yes. We left Raleigh and arrived at their front door at 10:59 a.m., the nurse came and got Mattie at 11:00 and at 11:14 she returned with her and said Dr. Gift had completed the procedure and would be calling me in a few minutes to explain. And he did; I can’t tell you the relief that I felt, knowing that he not only had taken care of the problem but he also told me how sweet and gentle my little girl was. I told him thank you and also if it weren’t for COVID I would be hugging his neck. He is wonderful and professional and I highly recommend this eye care center and Dr. Gift and his wonderful assistant, Marissa who took care of Mattie and time with me when she brought her out to me and explained the medications to put in her eyes. The overall experience was absolutely wonderful.

Thank you Dr. Gift, Marissa and the staff at Animal EyeCare in Wake Forest!!

Dr. Gift and staff are the best. Took my year old shih tzu maisey there cause she kept getting eye ulcers from the ingrown eyelashes. He got her into surgery the same week i took her. She is doing well now. After a few follow ups dr gift said she was healed. So grateful for him. The price was very fair. If you have eye issues with your dog you need to get in with this doctor

Although I did not come for an actual visit, their receptionist Beth was so kind and helpful. She really helped me out last week when I was panicking over my fur baby.

Our little dog is deaf and had poor vision due to cataracts. She was not very happy, but progresivelly adjusted to her environment. We decided to do surgery after a positive evaluation from AEC (B.W. Gift). For reasons we did not know, she lost her remaining vision after surgery. Afterwards we saw that eye pressure on surgery day was high (53 mmHg). Multiple visits to the clinic and medications provided by AEC did not help. Due to the sudden loss, she has not been able to keep adjusting and now is totally lost and depressed. We deeply regret our decision to trust AEC as our Naly suffers a fast decline.
