Lone Star Family Medicine: Michael Kurz M.D. and Danielle Stockhorst FNP

Danielle Stockhorst and her staff go above and beyond to see that their patients get the best care possible. I have been extremely happy with them handling all of healthcare needs promptly for many years now.

I recently came to Lone Star Family Medicine from another doctors office here in Pleasanton and I am very happy I made the switch. Danielle Stockhorst, FNP, has made me feel very comfortable. It's as if I've been a long time friend and patient of hers. She knows what she's doing and is very professional. Her staff calls me with results of my bloodwork within a day of having my blood drawn. The staff is very polite and respectful. I was saddened when Dr. McFarland retired, and tried another (Wel)l known doctors office, but I fully recommend this practice. Thank you Danielle and staff for making me feel welcome. 👏 🙏

First off, If the medical office does not accept your insurance, it's COMMON SENSE that the office is not in network, second, if you are in a car accident, always go and get checked. That is also common sense that within 24-72 hours you may have after effects. Dr. Kurz and his NP have been nothing but professional. The staff has also been nothing but very helpful and have always called back in a timely manner. I am a licensed nurse, and as a medical professional this clinic is by far one of the best.

I am going to assume that the people who gave the poor, rude and unexplainable reviews were confused about the office they were going to or I’ve been lost for several years. I have never received anything but excellent, caring, very professional service on a regular basis for many years!!
No one seemed to find fault with Danielle which is understandable as she is beyond reproach.Better than most physicians I’ve been to.
As far as the staff goes, with all the aggravation and unkind treatment they get from some of their clients its no wonder they get the treated in kind!!!
Try doing unto others as you want others to do unto you.
Especially with Adrianne. I have dealt with her on most everything for years with never a complaint and more than one good laugh. The main reason I am doing this review is because at ten this morning I gave Adrianne a refill request and I had a text from Walmart
Pharmacy before noon it was ready for pick up. Personally I can’t ask for better service than that. My thanks to all of you at LOAN STAR MEDICAL. You are the greatest!!!!!

I have known Michael Kurz since he was in JH, he has been my Primary Care Doctor for many years. Dr Kurz is caring, kind, considerate and truly cares not only for his patients but people in general. Dr Kurz explains everything to you in a way you can understand and is very knowledgeable of all aspects of his profession. I've also seen Danielle Stockhorst who is also exceptional at caring for her patients. I've read some of the bad reviews and can't help but wonder if they are confused about what Dr office they are complaining about. I've never had anyone from this office treat me in the way described by these people. Adrian the receptionist has always been kind to me when I call and is always good to pass on messages to others in the office. I have many health problems and am confined to a wheelchair, when I needed a new chair they had no problems taking care of the paperwork to get me a new chair. The same with other DME equipment like a hospital bed. I also needed help with some VA paperwork which was taken care of. I am nervous going through the glass door with my wheelchair so the ladies take me through a back door and when I apologize for making them work harder they say no problem this is our VIP entrance just to make me feel special instead of more work. I've also had a problem with my insurance not covering some blood work I had done at Quest and Quest was threatening to send it to collections. Laura checked it out for me and said no worries we will take care of this for you and they did. In all my years of going to this office I've never once been treated rudely or heard them speak rudely to anyone else. I also can't imagine any of these ladies cussing anyone out! As for being hung up on my boss always told me if anyone starts using foul language or being disrespectful to you just let them know you won't be spoken to in that manner and let them know you are transferring them to my extension and to leave me a message. I was also instructed if they called back and started up again then to just hang up. No one should be verbally abused while at their job. Since Covid hit this doctor office like so many others in the world has stayed open to treat us putting their own lives at risk in order to make sure we are cared for during these trying times. I have and will always highly recommend Lone Star Medical as a place to go for your medical needs. ❤

I am the Practice Manager for this office since it opened 3 years ago. What is stated on this Google website has a lot of untruths of what actually happens in our practice. I am proud to say that our staff goes above and beyond to accommodate all patient needs to the the best of our ability. Sometimes, it is not possible to do this do this due to office policies and protocols. I would like to state due to many circumstances, my staff takes a lot of abuse verbally for trying to do their job. Not everyone will agree, so we will agree to disagree on this subject. I do not "scream," or say bad words to patients nor does our staff. Some of these statements on here are complete untruths. I did not have some conversations that are stated on here. If I hang up, I will not tolerate cussing nor will the staff. We will continue to service our community to the best of our abilities. God Bless.

Dr. Kurz, and his LPNs Danielle and Emily, are amazing. They helped me work through my VA claim by ordering Xrays and labs to gather evidence. They take the time to plain English explain what's being done, why and the effects. The most comfortable doctor's office I have ever visited.

Building a relationship with a physician is a priority for me and my family and no doubt Lone Star Family Medicine has been here for us! When we had a fairly concerning issue arise out of nowhere yesterday, we were grateful that Danielle and the staff were here to ease our concerns with a thorough check up and follow up today. Thank you so much for the concern, the top notch care and the follow up.....Dr. Kurz, you and your team ROCK!

I don't believe I would be alive today if not for Dr. Kurz and Danielle Stockhorst. They are professional, friendly, and get straight to the point with you. They don't hesitate to refer you to a specialist if need be. Love them both. They take very good care of me and have for several years.

Dr. Kurz and his staff are exceptional. They are professional, friendly, knowledgeable ànd very easy to talk to. There is almost no wait time and I have always been able to get an appointment within 24 hours of contacting the office.

Great Doc. Cares about his patients and talks in common sense language. He prescribes medication what's necessary rather than what's convenient. I'll be keeping him as my PCP for good.

Dr Kurz is a common sense guy. He knows what he is talking about and doesn’t just treat the symptoms. He will take time with each patient. He is an asset to our community.

Dr. Kurz and Dr. Dani, are awesome! They don’t just treat you and kick you out the door. They listen to you! They treat the person, they talk too you! It’s a family, won’t go anywhere else!
