Matt is a great mechanic and a great person also. He has been so honest with my wife and I and saved us a lot of money. A true Texan and local gentleman, he will make you feel at home and take excellent care of your vehicle.

My truck started having pretty significant performance issues a few months ago, so I did what you're doing now; started reading reviews and hoping I'd find the right person to help. I struck out twice before finding Matt at Hauschild Automotive. Two other shops changed out some parts and told me I was good to go, but the issues got worse. Third times a charm, I guess. Matt took the time to actually diagnose what was happening and walk me through what the repairs would consist of. He communicated with me throughout the process and my truck is now running great. If you're having any issues and stressed out about where to take it, just go to Hauschild. Matt is honest, knowledgable and a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend him and will be bringing all of my vehicles here for any repair need in the future.

I have been taking my vehicles to Matt for years. I just read a terrible review from Joe Falcon and I can only surmise that Mr.Falcon only hears what he wants to hear. Matt runs a mechanic shop out of a small 1 bay building with limited parking. This is important because Matt is a throwback to a day when everyone was not out to charge an arm and a leg for a simple job. He is extremely honest and fair in costs. Because he is honest and fair he is swamped with repeat customers (myself being one). Matt does not have time for big projects that take tons of work and tons of time (restorations) because they take up critical space in his parking lot and restorations are a huge nightmare with very little return for all the work. Matt usually only has 1 project vehicle at a time that he works on only when he gets a break from making a living fixing all the daily cars that come to his shop. If he takes on a “project” vehicle, don’t expect it back in 3 weeks or even 3 months. If you want quick turnaround on a project, you need to call garage squad because the words fast and project vehicle do not go together. Matt has taken on 2 projects for me and each one has taken longer than a year. Best time and money I’ve ever spent. They both perform flawlessly and I couldn’t be happier. Matt is truly the most honest mechanism I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with. If you want a good quality repair job you can be confident in then call Hauschild Automotive. I promise his prices are a fraction of a dealer or other shops and the quality of craftsmanship is without compare.

Little back story to my visit at Hauschild Automotive. I was in New Braunfels on business and my truck dashboard lit up like a Christmas Tree and then all my electrical parts and pieces in my truck stop working along with the A/C. So I called a dozen or so Automotive Repair Shops all of which told me there is at least a 2 week wait just to look at the truck. Well I needed to get back home to Houston. At this point it seemed like I was SOL. But I went to O'Reilly's to have them scan my computer, maybe that would show something. No luck their device showed all clear. I asked Steve at O'Reilly's if he had any recommendation's on where I could take the truck to and get checked out today so I can be on my way. Without hesitation he picked up his phone and called Matt at Hauschild Automotive, explained my situation and Matt said "come on". When I arrived to his shop Matt was very friendly and helpful. He was working on another customers brakes at the time but told me he would do whatever he could to get me fixed up. It took maybe an hour for him to diagnose the problem and correct, all while explaining everything he was doing. His shop is a gem, you do not see them like this anymore. No BS and fluff just high quality workmanship and a friendly environment. Would recommend to all my friends, family, and anyone just stopping by. Thank you Matt!!

Matt was about straightforward and as honest as they come. He was recommended to me by a friend when my AC when out in my truck. Not only did he get me back on the road in two days with super cold AC, he warrantied the work and parts for a lifetime. Now that's customer service. Outstanding work and price. I really appreciate the honesty and quality of work. Ill definitely be back when I need a quality mechanic again. You should too.

Called around other shops in New Braunfels and everyone was trying to charge me before I could even explain the issue. An O'Reilly employee recommended this shop. The gentleman who helped me was very experienced and most importantly, honest. This shop exhibits true southern hospitality.

Without a doubt the best mechanic in New Braunfels and I have experience with several. I took my vehicle to him because another shop could not correctly identify the problems. He correctly diagnosed the problems within an hour, charged me a reasonable price, and completed the repair within a reasonable time. The vehicle now drives better than when I bought it! A true master of his craft. If you are in need of a good auto mechanic, this is where you want to go. A++

Matt has worked on two of my vehicles and has been nothing but professional and truthful. Replies are quick and detailed and service is perfect. He’s my go to for all my vehicles

My wife and I were referred here by another mechanic. We were a little skeptical using someone new as most people would be. Our car broke down right before the 4th of July which was really stressful. This place took great care of us. They worked over the holiday weekend to get us our car right away. They even surprised us by detailing the inside. I waited a month to post this review so that I could speak about the repairs also. The car has been running great since we took it to them over a month ago. Definitely will be using this place again!

Update: since then we have used this place 2 more times and have had 2 more amazing experiences! This place is great!

Super knowledgeable and helpful!!!! Came in with a check engine light and ge grabbed the computer and when straight to work!! Then he did his magic and got me out of there with in a few minutes. Will be back!! Thanks Matt!!
