Rent from The Fountains instead of this place. I was a renter for over a year. For the rent charged, you would expect some services to be included, but you have to totally and completely maintain the place as if you are paying a mortgage. At the very least, an apartment complex replaces their own air filters and performs regular extermination. I noticed a roach problem after I moved in, and after notifying the company I was told they would cover the initial extermination since I had just moved in, but that the renter is responsible for charges related to extermination. Lastly, don't expect to get your entire security deposit back.

Read the fine print or say goodbye to your deposits. I finished my 6 month lease after 6.5 months and was moving back to Louisiana. Low and behold, after my lease was up, I moved out and notified them as such. In the fine print though, if you don't give at least a month's notice that you don't plan on staying, they withhold 100% of the deposit. They just assume you'll stay forever otherwise. I was told on the phone when I notified them it might cost me some of my deposit, I was expecting $100 or $200, not $1200.

I wasn't certain I was moving until about a week before the actual move. Your mileage may vary, but read the contract carefully and make sure you document everything.
