My cat survived 7 years with pain and voiding outside his litter box intermittently. He didn’t want to be touched. One trip to Dr. White, she made the presumptive diagnosis in 5 minutes. She confirmed with tests and treated him. Now my cranky old cat is a love bug. He hasn’t voided outside the box since(years ago).
All the docs are great.

Dr. Adkins is the absolute best! She took the time to get to know my dog by sitting in the floor with her to gain her trust before she did anything with her. She listened to all my questions and concerns and gave me answers that I understood. I also have to say the ladies at the front desk are also just as friendly and helpful! I highly recommend them!

Groomer, Haley Bennett is always personable, professional, helpful, and extremely customer oriented. Our dogs like coming for grooming, and she is the reason why. She has a very positive personality, and goes out of her way to help us handle our 2 large dogs. Overall EXCELLENT service!

Started going to this vet last year and I love it. I’ve went to a lot of vets trying to find the best one for my fur babies and this one takes the crown. They seem to really care about your animals and they try to educate you( which I love) also they are the most affordable out of all the vet places I went to. Highly recommend going to this vet.

Unexpectedly we found out our 10 yr old dog, Bandit, was in trouble, he had cancer, shallow breathing and needed euthanized. Dr. Tonya White, who had never met Bandit before took him in, set on the floor and checked him out. She talked to him eye to eye as if they had known each other forever. Dr. White assessed his situation and determined the cancer had spread throughout his body. She so kindly/gently gave him a shot to let him go into a peaceful sleep with us setting by his side talking to him. When Bandit was totally at peace she gave him the last shot. We sat through everything and gave him our support to the end. Bandit was everything to us and we miss him beyond words. He will never be forgotten ❤
We appreciate Dr. Whites kindness - Bandit is now out of pain and at peace. Thank you Dr. White for caring and helping us during a very difficult time.
We highly recommend Dr. Tonya White to everyone. Dr. White is a 5 star vet with a true love and knows what she is doing. Truly the BEST Veteran we have ever met❤

They always take great care of my fur baby. When I take my yorkie for her monthly “spa day” with Haley she’s always so excited and loves Haley. I am so glad that I started using Appalachian animal hospital for all my baby girls needs.

Excellent!
My Dog usually very sensitive to his annual shots, from another vet.
I took Choco Taco for our 1st visit, Choco Taco had all his shots and came out as Calm as could be.
Very HAPPY with Appalachian Animal Hospital!!
Wonderful Staff also! 👍

This is a first class animal hospital. When calling to make appointments it seems like I am always able to get Moose in very quickly. Rarely do I have to wait even a day. Most times they see him the same day. You can tell the vets love our animals as much as we do. Dr. White will get right down in the floor and love on my dog all the while examining him.

My latest visit was for an acl tear in my dogs hind leg. While they are not able to provide the surgery he needs in house, they were able to give me some options of where to go and explain the various types of surgeries that are offered. This helped me in deciding what was best for Moose.

The facility is always clean, staff is always friendly and knowledgeable, and they treat you like a friend, not just another patient. If you are looking for a great place to take your pets, I highly recommend you check them out.

Very thoughtful and helpful people! Had truck issues and wasn't able to make my appointment on time. Despite being late for Porkchop's Appointment, they were very comforting and welcomed Porkchop and I anyways. Dr. Atkins is very upbeat and knowledgeable! Willing to make the drive over 1 hour and 15 minutes to be a patient with them! Thank you for all that you guys do each and every day 💞

They were so kind when we had to make the hardest decision with our beloved cat Kobe a few years ago. Very understanding and patient with us as we grieved. We currently have our babygirl Gemma there to get spayed and I will always bring our animals there. They treat them like family and are SO KIND! Definitely worth the 2 hour drive for us!! THANK YOU TO THE STAFF!

I wish we had found this vet years ago, they were so nice and they really care about the animals they treat, and I love that they have a good Samaritan drawer that helps with meds if you can't afford everything your pet may have to have.
The whole staff was so friendly. Dr. Haddix is so nice and very thorough and actually takes her time and explains things and didn't rush in and out of the exam room. Bob loves his new Doctor's and nurses and so his mom
