Elkins Inn & Suites

This hotel is unique in many good ways. It is an experience as well as lodging. When you walk in the spacious lobby the first thing you notice are the spotless grand pianos in various areas with beautiful plants and period leather furniture. Check in was fast and friendly. It is located in a huge repurposed building that used to be a hospital that houses the inn, as well as many professional offices (on other floors). The corridors are wide and the doors and windows are heavy duty which makes it the quietest room I've been in. The rooms are nice, clean and functional. The free breakfast was good and the coffee was strong and tasty. Walking around inside you get to experience the owners eclectic taste which includes many ornate pipe organs. The large gift shop had a nice mix of souvenirs and antiques for purchase. It is located in an area right in town that has many food and shopping options literally across the street and Elkins itself is very pedestrian friendly. If you are like me and like to try new things- give this a whirl! You won't be disappointed!

This hotel is very much underrated. Let me take you back to a day where customer service was the focus. They excel. How about cleanliness and friendliness? Also excel. I am not sure why the bad reviews are here and I have nothing to gain by leaving an HONEST review. This place in Elkins is the only place I will stay from now on when I am here. I am glad they kept the appearance, it does say “hospital” but not in any way a bad way. It gives history and character. I absolutely love the sitting area outside. This place is awesome.

Dog Friendly. Jason, night clerk, very friendly & helpful... and there was a treat for my doggie. This was my first stay here, and I ended up staying two nights, in two different rooms. First night room had been modernized. Second night I believe the room was original. Bath had ceramic tiled walls & shower, electric wall heater --- I may be weird, but I loved this Retro-bathroom. Both rooms were clean and fresh smelling... Oh, the windows can be opened, cool (bad pun). I enjoyed the fresh air with hint of wood smoke. Cable TV, lots of channels. Internet, Continental breakfast.

The lobby was decorated to the MAX for Christmas, Beautiful. Just being in West Virginia, where Christmas is celebrated and Veterans Memorial are decorated... Well It Just Made My Heart Feel Good. As my 94 year old, Elkins native, father would say, "West 'by GOD' Virginia", and I agree.

Spent $97 not including tax for a room for 1 room 2 beds!! Was very clean and nice! If your looking for something cheap but nice GO HERE

MY 2ND HOME WHILE I WAS DOING A TRAVEL NURSE ASSIGNMENT!!! I WAS THERE FOR 4 months AND THEY TREATED Me LIKE FAMILY!! MS. AMY, ANNA, DEBBIE, RUTH and Mr. Jason were the absolute besttttt staff I've ever encountered at a hotel!!! The rooms were clean, quiet, and wasn'toverly priced. I never had any issues that weren't handled in a timely manner. I made plenty of friends here. Everyone was friendly, respectful and courteous at all times. I don't know when I will get back to WV again, but if I ever do come back I will definitely be bunking it up at Elkins Inn. God bless you all and I miss you all. Really nice honestly was great a. Worker. Was always their 100$ for 5 people can't beat. That ! O ly down side was no pool lol but that's. Life ahah.

Lovely hotel. I stayed here for a week. Clean rooms friendly staff. Fresh linens. Extended stay was just to pricey for me which is the only reason I left.

Can't beat it for the price! And even though it's converted hospital it's a nice place to stay. Staff is super nice!

The girl that works the front desk was very polite and provided excellent costumer service. The rooms were also neat and clean.
