My rep Sarah called me to schedule a fitting and instructions for my wrist brace and was able to actually make a home delivery! Super convenient and I really appreciated her effort to make it work with both of our schedules. She spent a great amount of time with me explaining the use of the device and then had me put it on for the correct fittings, and go through both flexion and extension options with me. I appreciated her tip of how to know when I was taking the exercise too far -- "it should be noticeable but not to the point of tolerable" -- and I've been able to use that guideline very effectively so that I don't stress my wrist out too much. All around great product, excellent rep instructions, and I'm pleased with the progress that I'm seeing on my wrist flexibility after one month of use!

My rep, Erick, has been extremely communicative, and informative from the very beginning, both over the phone and in person. Erick has gone beyond helping me to understand proper use of my medical devices, but he's also helped to educate and navigate areas of process during this journey including cost to rent and understanding forms and communication from my doctor. Erick was able to drive to me to deliver and setup my devices (braces.) He even came back to replace an arm cuff with one that is more comfortable, and will continue to be there as needed. I can't be more grateful for the attentiveness, thoughtfulness, and care Erick has shown this far.

Thanks Luke for the great service with receiving the bend machine for my knee. You were excellent in your measurements for this machine. It fit my knee and leg great. Your patience and explicit instructions, were instrumental on how to use this machine, was super. I was able to work with this machine, and am doing well as a result. Many thanks again!!

the complete team at JAS was very helpful in securing my knee brace after total knee replacement.
From fitment to securing the insurance to delivery their team was helpful and professional.
Their brace allows for both extension and flexation of the knee and has allowed my leg greater mobility when used with physical therapy.

During a recent backpacking trip, I fell, dislocated my elbow, and incurred a complex fraction of my radius. It took me no less than 13 hours to hike out and travel to a hospital for orthopedic care. By that time, my arm had swollen to twice its normal size, and I was in a lot (!) of pain.

After setting my elbow, I slowly started exercising in order to regain my full functionality, but after 8 weeks of intense physical therapy, I hit a brick wall and was struggling to make any further progress regarding stretching/bending my arm, and twisting my hand. My local physical therapist suggested Joint Active Systems' training devices, and connected me with Erick Flores, their local representative.

Within only a few days, Erick consulted with the PT expert at the hospital, selected the JAS systems that would work best for me, took measurements of my arm, ordered the customized set-up internally, had it shipped, and visited me at home, in order to further fine-tune/"personalize" the equipment and train me on how to best use it. He has since reached out several times to further maximize the use of the systems, has made additional tweeks (he exchanged the hand piece on one of the devices, and modeled it to my hand size), and continues to grab every opportunity to help me get the most out of the JAS equipment. If I reach out to him with questions, he responds very fast (typically within an hour -> also in the evenings and even weekends!). This man is not just doing his job really well... he's on a mission!

Since starting exercising with the JAS "braces", and under Erick's professional guidance, I have been able to pick up the pace, and accelerate my recovery, as is confirmed during the measurements my physical therapist performs while monitoring progress.

I'm not receiving a penny for leaving this review. I'm just happy with the opportunity to express my gratitude to Erick and the team at JAS. You guys rock!

I have used two devices, one for my ankle and one for my knee.

I have had great success in increasing my range of motion! I was having trouble making successful physical therapy, and with the addition of my devices, I have really had an increased quality of life!!

My daughter was in an ATV accident the summer after high school graduation and before leaving for college. She was doing traditional PT, which was great, but when going away with a new school, new schedule and new everything...trying to work in PT was going to be a challenge. She was fitted for a JAS arm brace and because it was so easy to use, it helped her to transition to college AND still work on her arm health and strength. She finally was able to connect with a PT team in her new area, but because of the JAS system, she didn't lose any time in her recovery and actually, she was able to decrease her PT time because of her use of the device. The delivery and return process was a breeze and I am happy to report that my daughter is doing well! Thanks JAS!

After the first time using this device my flexion in my knee joint moved and before that I was stuck at 75 degrees. After the repeated use according to directions I was at 105 degrees in 4 weeks, The JAS worked great and shortened my physical therapy time.

I had a TKR and PT didn’t improve my ROM very much 3 months after surgery. I found JAS and was able to get my surgeon to prescribe the Knee Device .

I wondered after having dismal results with all the PT would I ever get my life back again and be able to walk any distances at all? My extension had stuck at 15 degrees and flexion at 89. Degrees, both totally unacceptable for pretty much anything.

JAS knee device has done wonders in getting my ROM back to acceptable levels. Extension is now about 5 degrees and flexion is about 110 plus. I’m confident that I’ll get my extension & flexion even better over the next few months.

Besides the fantastic orthopedic devices JAS has developed, all of the people I have dealt with have been absolutely a pleasure to work with. From initial contact, to insurance department, area field representative to technical staff. Everyone has been very helpful and showed concern about myself and my situation.

I do not hesitate at all to give JAS my total 100% recommendation. Great product & great folks!!!

I was extremely pleased working with the JAS staff. They made the experience easy to use and understand. I used the elbow ROM JAS system for 1 month and in just that time, made a significant improvement in ROM. Would highly recommend for anyone who suffers an elbow break and surgery like I did!

My doctor ordered a JAS device to help me with straightening of my leg/knee following a total knee replacement, as typical PT was not cutting it. Had one of their systems delivered to my house by the area rep. He was very patient and thorough in getting me set up and instructing me on the use of the device. After a few weeks I had some additional questions/concerns and this rep was kind enough to come back to my house to reassess and reassure me. He was extremely patient, knowledgeable and helpful. Extremely pleased so far not only with my interactions but also with how much the device is helping me.

Cannot even put in to words how thankful I am for the wonderful staff at Joint Active Systems. I dealt with Susan and others who went above and beyond for me. My brace has helped gain a great amount of extension and flexion to my arm. Without the help of those who work for this company I would not be able to get my last 20 degrees of extension. Thank you Susan and leadership. Very appreciative!!!! Your company will allow me to get my life back. Hoping for 20 degrees.

I am so thankful to JAS for the static stretch elbow splint for restoring me to nearly 100% range of motion after my accident three months ago. Physical therapy was a slow and often times painful process, but partnered with the static stretch splint, the daily schedule of use was the discipline and support I needed on my own terms. The rep was very kind and helpful, and instructed me that use of the splint was not to ever be painful; only mild stretching for 30 minutes 3x/day would be required. I began to notice progress within the first week of use, and was encouraged to maintain the regimen. My results felt no less than miraculous after finishing my term with the device. Thanks so much to JAS for giving me my life back!

UNBELIEVABLE Customer Service!!! I tripped while carrying my wife's knee extender and broke it. COMPLETELY MY FAULT! I called JAS simply to ascertain how to BUY a new brace. I prepared myself for a long, frustrating series of phone calls that would ultimately drain my wallet. HOWEVER, when I called JAS Customer Support I promptly spoke with two people via speaker phone who were absolutely determined to help me (Ruth & Ross W). In the end, they worked together to deduce which piece was broken, made arrangements to send me a free replacement, and explained the simple repair steps to take once the part arrived. Needless to say I was flabbergasted! It was a exactly the opposite of what I had expected AND what I've grown accustomed to regarding customer service elsewhere. Ruth and Ross W. were not only professional and efficient, but they were just flat out nice and a joy to chat with (they both deserve raises ;-)

I have worked in orthopedics for the past 22+ years treating all sorts of injuries in the upper extremity and have trialed many different types of static progressive splints. JAS makes it super easy to work with them, as a therapist the instructions to measure/fit are simple and easy to follow and I've had great patient compliance with these devices. The key is to start early when the injury is stable for the best results!

Technician Amanda S. was wonderful to work with. She helped me to re-set the JAS Knee Extension device in a phone call by talking me through the series of removing and re-inserting screws and clips that made the device fit the current stage of my rehabilitation. She was very descriptive of exactly how to make the adjustments so the device fit me better. She was also patient and polite in dealing with me. She is a valuable asset to the company.

I had total knee replacement surgery on February 4th 2020. I had a very difficult recovery. My leg was bent before surgery and after surgery my leg would not straighten. It was almost -20 from being straight. I went through excruciating pain for over 2 months. Physical therapists pushed down physically on my leg trying to force it straight. It was horrendous. They would put 200 pounds on my leg in an attempt to get it to straighten. This was hours and hours of wasted time. I then had a manipulation on April 9th which helped and I then only had 10 degrees off on extension. I had a horrible limp and was very dejected. I switched physical therapists and they stopped the physically pushing on my leg but it still would not straighten. I became very dejected. Dr. John Schroeppel with KU Med ordered a JAS brace for me. I was very skeptical about it. I used it for 2 times a day-30 minutes each time and with in 5 weeks a miracle occurred. I could straighten my leg with in 2 degrees and 8 weeks after I used the brace I could straighten it to 0!!!!!!!! I was able to complete pt and have my life back. I do not limp. I can do anything I want pain free. I have been walking and increasing my miles and walked 8 miles straight this weekend. Your brace saved my sanity and I was able to straighten my leg. I was in disbelief. I wanted to give you a quick testimonial and let you know that your brace does work. I wish I had it months earlier.

I had a knee surgery and things did not go well, I came across the JAS device and it help me knee to get the rang of motion that I needed. Along the way, the device had a problem and the company was very reasonable and replace the broken part. That was so nice of them, I will recommend it to anyone who has gone through knee surgery. Very useful for recovery.
