Motel 6 Troy, AL

I had called several several hotels. All were booked. I looked at the reviews on this hotel, almost did not come here because of the unfair reviews. Rooms are clean, linen is fresh, fridge and microwave work well and seem new.
Floor is clean. It is laminate not wood which is easy to clean in case you spill or walk in with wet shoes. Shower is clean.
Only thing I can mention is that the AC/ heat wall units use the outside air to vent air inside the rooms. Anyone smoking outside (even if you are in the second floor) smoke smell comes in. Maybe letting customers know if they smoke to please be considerate and smoke away from the rooms or have a designated area.
Also, advice truck drivers were to come into the parking and were to park. Parking is accessible but it would make it easier/safer for everyone if you communicate better.
Other than that, I am pleased for the fair price for the service I am receiving.

Room was very clean, shower had great pressure! Price was so low we didn't expect much but was all we needed.

I don’t even have a clue why this motel would have a bad review. The rooms are updated and clean. No bugs price is fair. Pets welcome at no cost. Staff is exceptional. Wish I could give more then 5 stars. Will recommend and return this is my second stay and won’t be my last.

Took great care of us. Pet friendly room was clean and dogs not stink like animals.

The rooms are very clean. The hardwood floors are definitely a plus! Pets are always FREE!! The lady who checked us in after 4pm was very friendly and helpful. We called for extra towels and she literally had them to our Door in seconds. Great place to stay.

Staff was very friendly and when I had an issue with remote they came right up and replaced it. Room was very clean. Microwave, mini fridge and comfy bed. All that I needed. It felt safe and secure. Right off main road so there’s a bit of traffic noise but that’s to be expected.

This is possibly the nicest Motel 6 that I've ever stayed at, and always being a dog owner, I've stayed at many over the years. The room is well cleaned, updated and everything actually works, unlike many of the others. Very quiet with a friendly staff. I actually stayed an extra night because it was so relaxing and comfortable. I highly recommend it!

We stayed the night of June 2, 2017. The guy at the check in desk was very nice and courteous, our room was sparkling clean, smelled great, had a nice tv and the beds were awesome. I'd love to have one of them at home and wish all the Motel 6 hotels had the same ones as we stay at them in several places. The pillows were even comfortable!! I give them 5 stars !!

Sam was most helpful desk agent I have ever observed!! When I first arrived for a football game I wanted to check in as soon as possible. There was not a room ready. Sam said he would check with housekeeping (not the normal response you get). After about 15 mins a room was ready but no towels yet. Sam said he would bring some to us. Not the norm. In a few minutes before unloading our car he brought them. I overhead Sam tell several guest that if they find anything wrong with the room to come back and let him know. Not the norm. Sam told us about a shuttle for the ballgame that would save us the parking fee and the drive in heavy game traffic (very helpful). So I am 62, stay in lots of hotels/motels, and Sam is by far the best I have every observed for the reasons I stated compared to the normal treatment you get when checking into a motel/hotel. Don't know what you guys do to recognize superior performance - but do it for Sam.

Wonderful wonderfully refinished room at a reasonable price. The owner and his wife were totally delightful and very helpful. I have forgotten my shampoo and they found me a bottle at no extra charge. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

We ended up staying a second night as this was such a great Motel 6 ... and we needed a rest.

The property is on the highway about as close at the highway gets to the old town square, and a couple of miles north of all the strip malls, shops and fast food - so it's pretty quiet but close enough to get to whatever you want. Our room was spotless and everything in good condition. The free wifi was better than average and the grounds were in great shape as well.

As far as Motel 6s go - and we've stayed in many traveling the country the last six months - this is one of the nicest we've found.

5 starts because it was clean, soft beds, and I was greeted by a friendly lady when I checked in. I've gotten much less and hotels that cost much more!

Rooms are dated but clean. Beds are comfortable. Very dog friendly. Good room for the price.

The owner is super friendly. People are nice.

I travel for work and have been all over. I have stayed in probably 50 different Motel sixes, none have been really awful but some the building has just been run down but the price is usually always right. This Motel 6 in Troy is by far the best one I've ever stayed at, great ownership, the room and building is in great shape and the location is great and in a safe area. Five stars all day, pound-for-pound this is one of the best hotels I've ever been at with price and everything into consideration, thanks Troy 6.

Such a great staff. Room is comfortable, bed is amazing and no pet fee. This hotel is top notch and I'm so so grateful it was here. I would give 6 stars if I could.

Friendly check in and checkout! Extremely clean! Room smelled fresh upon entering. Had a microwave and fridge. No frills, but definitely would stay here again and recommend to anyone staying in the area!

The staff was very nice. My A/C broke, I called them and within 10 mins maintenance came a put a brand new in. Bed is very comfortable. The only complaint I have is the smell in the rooms. Bring some air freshner!!!!!!!

So we stopped for gas at a Sunoco Gas Station on 231S about 20 miles north of Troy, Alabama. Doug talked with the owner for a bit and he said his friend had a Motel 6 down the road, as we were planning to stop for the night. So when we were checking in the owner came in and Doug said that his friend had sent us and the owner asked if Doug had his wallet. Well we looked and we did not have it. We were able to identify it and the man at the gas station brought Doug his wallet when he was finished with work at 10 pm (would have been 40 miles round trip and we had been on the road since 5:30 pm yesterday) The wallet still had the $415 cash and all identification in it. Motel 6 on 231S in Troy, Alabama is a great place to stay! Very clean, nice rooms, King size bed 😁 Cable, wifi, mini fridge, AC and smoking rooms available. Cost us a mere $60. Karma is a real thing!!! Thank God!! 🌅🌴💜✌

Newly renovated, very very clean, flat screen tv, fridge. Bed was very comfortable! Staff very accommodating. Reasonable pricing, actually would have expected to pay more. Will stay again.
