La Terraza Express Taqueria

What a gem! Had four tacos. Shrimp, al pastor, suadero, and cabeza. I can't decide which one was the best because they were all outstanding and perfectly seasoned. Green salsa was amazing. It was kind of chilly so I asked for a small consomme, and it really hit the spot. Not oily or salty. Just right and exactly what I wanted on a cold night. Happy I stumbled on this truck. Nice guy taking orders. Food was ready pretty quickly.

One of our favorite places in town, and their prices absolutely make them one of the best values in the region! Love their chicken burrito, chicken nachos, and their chorizo is really good! Tried the new Camarón Loco (seen here) for lunch today, and it's awesome! And don't forget to ask for their green sauce, it's amazing!

Stopped for a quick lunch on our drive back up north to Canada 🇨🇦. Had the corn tacos, chicken and chorizo with a side of rice and beans. Was amazing, great flavor and great price. Check them out if you are passing through or in the area!

Love the food so much. If i could go there everyday for every meal, I honestly would! The people are so friendly as well.

Tamales=love. The flavor of the masa was great. So much flavor packed inside. The hot sauce definitely has a kick if you can't do spicy but its on the side so just use caution. Cant believe I've been driving by this place and never stopped. Currently no seating so we ate in our car, but it was amazing.

Great food truck experience. Friendly and affordable. Good selection of food and drinks. Can't wait to go back.

While passing thru Effingham, i remembered that every day is a good day for ice cream, and decided to make a quick stop at the Homewood Grill. I forgot that they dont have winter hours !! ZOINKS!

Fortunately, La Terraza Express was next door selling tacos !

And tacos are also good every day.... lol

I had the pollo de playa, which waa basically shreded chicken, rice, and queso.... along with three fresh tortillas (all fpr $7... $8 ...if you count the $1 can of ice cold Coca Cola

It was awesome

Definitely some great affordable eats either at their main location or the Expreas trailer next door to Hometown Grill.
I will grab some ice cream at home....

I was passing through and saw this taco truck and thought I'd give it a shot. If I'm ever driving by Effingham again I'm stopping here for sure! The food was amazing.

You had me at GIANT burrito smothered in cheese..then add the brisket OMG SOOOO GOOD, Their street tacos are amazing as well! Best Mexican food in Effingham hands down!!

This is the closest we have been able to find that is just like moms cooking! Absolutely love the food and the people. We try to stop anytime we are in Effingham. If you haven't tried La Terraza you need to. I guarantee you will not be disappointed!!! Thank you for being able to bring us moms cooking when we are so far away from her. 🥰🥰🥰

I had a work colleague recommend this place. I was skeptical but, I decided to give it a try. I’m so very happy that I did!!! I’m new to the area and finding restaurants that have food that is similar to what I am used to has been a challenge to say the least. This place is spot on “Authentic” Mexican food. I stop at least once a week now. Can’t seem to get enough!!!

If you’re thinking about trying it just do it, It’s great food with good prices! 10/10 imo

I’ve been frequenting this place for 3 years now, I recommend it to all of my friends and family. It’s the most authentic Mexican cuisine in effingham and surrounding areas. Very good bang for your buck and awesome sodas!
