Church's Texas Chicken

I think I reviewed this place before but it's letting me do it again. This is my third stop at this location because I know I've had Church's Chicken a very long time ago and loved it. But the last two times I came here I hated it and I was aggravated by my experience. But something has changed. It's probably been at least 8 months since I've been here cuz I keep hoping that it's going to be great again.
I got the spicy chicken sandwich and it was spot on. The sauce was at just the right amount and the pickles made it a very juicy and hot experience. The jalapeno poppers have little pieces of jalapeno in them and they are great to the last one. And I'm not sure if I've had these jalapeno poppers before but they are probably the hottest of any fast food location I've tried. I love it. The one thing that surprised me the most is when I first opened my bag there was a tiny little plastic bag inside and when I opened it up there was a single jalapeno. What a seriously great addition to a already spicy meal. And their biscuits are probably my favorite biscuit of any place as well. I am back on cloud nine with Church's Chicken

The food is good. Service a little slow but it's a busy place. They seem to work efficiently for being under staffed

I love this location so much! The people who work here are so nice and they have such great energy! This area doesn't have a lot of good fast food options but these guys are fantastic! Their food is always fresh and delicious and they're just great people! They also have great prices for the quality.

They always have a wait for food but its always worth while! Hands down the best cheddar Jalapeno Poppers ever!!! Oh and their chicken is amazing as well 😋

Maaannn first let me say, I haven't eaten Church's in a long time! I remember on Sundays when we would have evening services or have to go visit somebody church to sing, we would get Church's before the service starts. When I got it the other day, the memories were just coming back. It was good then, it's good now. That 2pc spicy leg and thigh with the mashed potatoes and that biscuit so 🔥🔥🔥!! It did some to my soul!! I definitely need to get that again or probably come get a family meal. This one gotta stick around cause all the other ones except the one in Washington Park all closed down.

This was a last min decision and I have a huge family. They were to close in one hour and I ordered a 32pc. Not only were they not upset my food was super fresh! I will be back for my chicken!! Thank you! That manager that worked was all over the kitchen keeping it running smoothly as the line was long! She was the bomb!! This was the evening of May,15,2023! Shout out to that manager!!

It's been along time, but I was more impressed with the service.

I waited awhile for my food and I made it my choice to wait because that is what I wanted for my lunch . I do understand when a business is short staffed . The cashier and other staff members including the Mgr on duty were working very hard. .My food was freshly prepared and I was satisfied with my food and the choice to patiently wait. My visit was around 12:10 pm. I left at 12:30 pm by choice

The food was excellent. The employees could have been nicer. They weren't friendly at all. If you can look past some nasty attitudes then you will get great chicken and sides.

Crystal is amazing... Chicken was hot and fresh... Her customer service was great....

I was out of electricity at my home. I used a coupon for 4 pieces of chicken. I really enjoyed sitting there eating. The chicken was very good. I asked for a cup of water about 3 times and the cashiers were very nice. I was just In need at that time for a good place yo eat

The food here is always quality. The appearance and demeanor of employees may sometimes be off-putting, especially to non locals, but their care and attentiveness into the quality of the food more than makes up for any level of sass or grievances I've ever had at this location for the last 20 or so years I've lived in the area. Church's is always a staple to chicken lovers, next to KFC, Lee's, or any other chicken restaurant. Their biscuits are, by far, the best.

Food was fresh and hot and the employee that waited on .e she did a fantastic job on taken every customers orders and let them know how long it was going to be for some fresh food. She had gotten everything right for her customer to be the only person one the front line.

Best chicken around....the past years have not been great as far as service but this last visit was perfect..plenty of friendly staff and quick service

Chicken was fresh. Just had this older guy bugging me and staff thought it was ok and skipped me in line because the guy was in my way. I told the cashier and she said he's harmless. That's not my problem. He had no right to be in my face😣. Let alone she saw me and the worry on my face but never asked for my order.

This time I wen'tfor lunch me and my grandson sit down to eat.the chicken was extremely greasy.i work for churches 9 years I know how the product suppose to be they not serving a quality product.

Their chicken sandwich in my opinion won the chicken sandwich war hands down. Unfortunately I don't have photos because I couldn't wait to eat it but it was definitely amazing. Try it you won't be disappointed😋

June 20th, while out & about looking for some Good Fried Chicken & after searching around low & behold there it was Yep Folks Good Old Fashion "CHURCH'S CHICKEN" (#617) just like in California! Crispy Fried, Not Greasy & Tasty as all get out! Walked in was greeted by Candyce & Wendell with Huge Smiles & a How Ya Doin! The Chicken was ole so Crispy, Not Greasy, or soggy, Potatoes & Gravy, Jalapeno Cheesy Bites, Cole Slaw & Biscuits & all freshly made & Hot! I've been to those other places & this is slightly out of my way but worth the drive. So drive on by, step inside meet there friendly staff & fill your Tummy's. The next day any left over food was even better! Lots of choices & well worth checking them out! All the customers had Happy Faces! Thanks Ya'll 4 Great Food & C/S! I'll be back again!🥔🍗🌶🤣😂🥰 Gina
