Shelbyville BMV Branch

Arrived, awaiting outside was a BMV employee to assist ppl with needs. She gave me a ticket bc I was doing vehicle, trailer plate registration for the rest of 2020, into 2021 year. She brought in 5 of us. Everyone was wearing mask, including the public. Every BMV employee were helpful. They had a great system that allowed for safe distancing. They we're cleaning every time someone moved from the chairs to a BMV window, an employee would clean, after each visit at the window, they cleaned the chair, & counter tops area's.

I've been dealing with the Bureau of Motor Vehicle offices for 34 years. This Branch was absolutely the best service and experience ever!! Olivia is amazing at her job. I had to take the driving test and she was the person that gave me the test and she made me feel comfortable and the whole experience was perfect. Two days in a row I was in and out as quickly as possible with zero hassle. I cannot recommend this branch enough! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Just wanted to say what an excellent job all the employees at the Shelbyville BMV are performing during such a difficult time in our lives. I was in getting my license renewed and was really impressed on how well the employees were wiping down the counters and chairs after every customer was serviced. And they all were very friendly and pleasant. I know these are difficult times for everyone, and we all are dealing with something we could not have imagined, but it’s great to see people working together for the good of their customers. You all need to be recognized for such an excellent job.

Let me start out by saying I was so worried about my trip to the BMV this morning. That feeling got worse when those of us waiting were told by one of the nice ladies there “please be patient, there are only two of us working”. She then proceeded to tell those waiting to mot block the doorway, take a seat and if no seats remained to wait outside. Her tone rankled me a bit, but I am sure she was starting to stress seeing more and more folks come in. Bear with me, this is the good part - 45 mins after arriving Deborah Hatcher calls my number….what a genuinely nice, polite woman!!!! She explained everything I needed for transfer of plate and getting my real”id”. Thank the lord I had all necessary paperwork. She was beyond patient! I wish all public employees were this kind. Thank you Deborah!!!

Smaller bmv locations are great. The staff was helpful, quick, and kept things clean. Highly recommend. Worth the drive to save the wait 100x over. Gave me no issues

Very professional and very helpful. Under the new Covid-19 rules they were prepared but very relaxed with customers. I appreciated everything they are doing to keep customers and their staff safe.

Excellent customer service. The staff is very helpful and makes everything is in order to get our plates and licenses.

It was very packed Tuesday to renew my plates. After 5 minutes waiting lady showed me the kiosk and I was out of there quickly.
