Motel 72

Very clean rooms. Very quiet place which helped me fall asleep really easy. I was extremely satisfied with the conditions in this motel. It certainly is the cleanest motel I've slept into. The owners are the ones that and a few employees are the ones that maintain, clean it and run it. They answered any questions. Actually the owner, Douglas was extremely nice and very helpful. Also he's a nice man to talk to. The area is splendid for nature lovers so when I'll be back there I'll know where to sleep.

Staff was very nice. Allowed me to check in early and check out late while my son and I got to spend as much time as possible in the woods hunting. Rooms were very clean, and beds were very comfortable. We slept like rocks! Would definitely stay here again.

Booked online. Reasonable price! Clean, fresh, updated room with jacuzzi tub. Would stay again.
This I would call a budget hotel. All needs are met, without many frills.
Great find while searching through much more expensive rooms, and the Jacuzzi was a bonus!

Motel 72 met the expectations I have for a motel very well, and was even better than most places I've stayed.
The room and bathroom were totally clean, everything was fresh and well placed. The beds were made perfectly well to get right into a warm bed for the night. The room had coffee and tea, a channel guide, and everything I'd need.
It wasn't luxury by any means, but I think for the price it was excellent.
Very glad this is were I stayed. If I come back to town I'll stay here again.

We love this place. Manager was sweet and friendly. The room was warm and welcoming. I wish we could have stayed longer. I didn’t feel like we were in a motel room but rather a guest at a friends home🙏👍 Wonderfull place to unwind 🙂

We stayed at the Motel 72 overnight on our way home from Mackinac and were pleasantly surprised. The room was very clean and spacious. The bed was very comfortable and the room included a nice couch and mini fridge. Would definitely stay there again for the price/comfort!

Dated from the outside but the room we ha (and the rooms I could see in as we walked down the hallway) were all "refreshed" with paint, wood flooring and decorations. The heart-shaped bubble tub in our room was unexpectedly "80's" but it was clean, filled fast and bubbled up nicely! Bed was comfortable, television worked well, good WiFi, water and juice in the fridge, branded complementary soaps and the sheets and blankets were fresh.

They are currently doing some construction in the front of the building but it wasn't noisy or dirty.

Good place to use as a staging area to travel the north or to stay while fishing or trail riding.

Booked a one night stay based on past reviews. This motel doesn't look like much from the outside (pole barn style) but was pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness of the rooms etc. Which, in my opinion, is most important. Friendly staff and crew. Will stay again if the opportunity arises.

I go on Adventures often and have stayed all over the state in motels/hotels for around$70, $80 and this one has been the best. Super clean room. A little bit of a U.P feel but with modern furniture that was new. Everything in the room appeard to be new with a lot of cable channels and a HD Connection ,not just a flat screen on the wall with a standard connection like a lot of places do. I had a two bedroom queen and would defnitely be back. It was a really quiet enviroment as well but that could of been because of Covid19. Only a few rooms seemed to be occupied and I noticed a few places out of business while in route to the Motel. I would defnitely try to support this place if you are thinking of staying.

Very clean and affordable place. Both times that I've stayed, it's just been for one night but the owners are very nice, rooms are very clean and the price is even better! The bar next door is great as well! Highly recommend!

This is a very nice hotel. Very clean. Very helpful staff. Much more high end than what it looks like on the outside. Very quiet. Great price. Great location an hour to the bridge and hour to the lake. Located in a very nice town. Will stay there again.

What a find. With temps near 20 below our hotel last night water lines froze so we had to find another place to stay in on New Year's eve. Luckily we found a room at the M72 Hotel. What a find!! This place is a castle compared to our last hotel. Two queen beds, wifi, mini fridge, microwave, and running water!!! I am almost embarrassed to say what we paid for the room after seeing it. Lets just say it was a incredible deal and we will be back!!!!

It was an amazing motel. Simple, but perfect for an over night stop. Beds were comfortable. Decor was updated. Would stay again for sure!!!

The service was great they were willing to hold a room for 20 minutes till i got there and it was really nice beds were comfortable and well cleaned all in all a great place

Nice little motel, friendly and clean. Looks like Remodeling took place not long ago or they do a great job of keeping rooms clean.

I stay up north almost every other weekend and this is one of the most clean places I stay at. The owner is very nice as well :)

The rooms had a smoky odor and the roof had a leak but other than that it's a great place!

Pictures look like a really nice place, sadly this hotel burned to complete rubble this morning. Wishing the best for the owners.
