I paid $195000 cash for a condo in 2018 - the association attorney put a $1400 lien on the property and sent notice to my former address instead of the condo where I have lived for years. I was never notified and he foreclosed. The buyer showed up at my door after redemption and told me he bought my home from my neighbors through the association and I had to buy it back at market price or be evicted. I’ve been in circuit court fighting to get my title back since 2023 when my attorney had a medical emergency. The buyer’s attorney blindsided me with an eviction in Goggins court and checked 2C that there was no pending litigation about the property and lied in the hearing to explain what was going on that he didn’t know I lived there. Goggins bought the whole thing hook line and sinker - he evicted me and my child from the home I paid cash for - no mortgage. I can’t believe he allowed this to happen. I had even dropped off proof that we had a pending court date in Circuit Court. His clerk said he’d probably dismiss it but he ended up evicting me. It’s ruined my credit now. I haven’t even received payment for the home yet. Didn’t give me a chance to say what was really going on. Should be removed from the bench.
