I retained the services of Michael Gutman over the summer for two closings (purchase and sale) and the process could not have been smoother. Michael and his associates(with a lot of experience and knowledge) went extra miles to provide consultation over the phone and email to clarify my options, and help me making decisions.
I know some lawyers may charge less than what Michael does, but I am really glad that I worked with Michael because he saved me overall money and time.

Here's my 2 cents : During the contract, if there's question or doubt, consult with Michael because he will try to understand your issue and provide a valuable suggestion for you. Home buying is a long-term investment, you should use the best team out there.

During such an unprecedented time in COVID-19, Michael and his team stepped up to the plate and went to war for me (I had sellers that where very frustrated with the delays COVID-19 had caused...I know.... reasonable people). After reaching out to multiple real estate attorneys and getting no responses from them, I found Riley & Gutman, Esq.
From day-1 of my interaction with Mr. Gutman, I felt very confident that I found the right attorney who would guide me and assist with this whole process of purchasing the property. He and his team (Jennie) are extremely knowledgeable about the real estate sale/purchase, they explained to me in detail the whole process and were very prompt in responding to each and every question of mine via phone calls and emails. They made sure all my concerns were addressed and the sales contract included all the right clauses to protect me as a buyer. They ask me to do all the due diligence on the property such as - survey, oil-tank scan, title search, getting OPRA from township etc.
Mr. Gutman's fees are very reasonable as compared to other attorneys. He did not ask for any advance payment. I only paid him on the day of the closing. There were no hidden costs added to the original amount (I have heard of many attorney's quoting a low fee to attract clients and in the end they hand out a big fat bill with many hidden charges!).
Overall a great experience and I highly recommend Riley & Gutman. They are the best!

Attorney Michael L. Gutman, and his staff provided excellent service with the sell of my house. Mr. Gutman himself, as well as his paralegal, Denise, and office staff Sharon, were always available to answer my questions, and to guide me through the decision making process.
From my past I learned to avoid those attorneys who practice multiple laws -- from criminal cases to labor relations, from divorce matters to real estate. They get so distracted by higher priority cases (and higher profit margins), that they would place me (and other buyers/sellers of properties) at the bottom of their clients list.
