I’ve been here several times throughout the years and always had a pleasant experience. Last time we had to wait a bit to be seated but I think the food is worth it. The management is very accommodating especially now everything is so much harder because help is very hard to find with staffing shortages everywhere. We had a pleasant evening with quality food. You get what you pay for even during the pandemic so check this place out. They can also accommodate large parties, right before we were seated they set down a party of 18.

The atmosphere and decor are unique. The food was delicious and service very good. It was not busy for us around 645 pm on a Friday. The gnocchi special was very good and served toasted on top of the sauce. The short rib was melt in your mouth tender and very rich. I couldn’t finish it. Try the soufflé !

This was the first time at Brandl and our experience was nothing short of exceptional! Paul helped organize a surprise 60th birthday dinner and was so helpful and went above and beyond with each and every detail. Not to mention the food was spectacular as well as the service!!! Our whole dinner party had a great experience and couldn’t say enough wonderful things about the food and atmosphere. Definitely top notch! We will certainly be back!!

Me and my family went to Brandl for my dad’s birthday! We got the family style of the Puttanesca and we were not disappointed!

As a local to the area, Brandl was my first “nice restaurant” the handful of times my family visited for a special occasion growing up. Now that I’ve lived in many cities with a love for food, I feel so lucky that this gem is in my hometown. The menu is reliable alongside delicious specials and offers a variety of proteins and flavor profiles. There are incredibly reasonably priced vegetable sides and high quality seafood appetizers. I always feel like I can (and should) get that one more thing. BYO is a great fit with a liquor store in the same plaza and attentive service to whatever glassware or ice you may require. The staff has treated my mom’s Yuengling with the same care as any fine wine many patrons choose to pair with their meal. So lastly, the service is incredible and professional. Vincent is especially wonderful. The staff is attentive and knowledgeable but also allows for plenty of privacy as you enjoy your meal. If you’re passionate about food, you should absolutely try Brandl — and get that extra thing. If it sounds like an intense creation on special, it’s probably because they knocked it out of the park. I feel so lucky every time.

To start, I must say that Brandl is expensive. But, you get what you pay for. My wife and I started with the burrata and piled the prosciutto and cheese on top of their flavorful crusty bread. For my main course I ordered beef wellington, a special for the night, and was blown away. The puff pastry was crisp and formed a hermetic exterior crust around the buttery, tender, edge to edge perfectly cooked filet mignon inside. Not sure if it was a mistake but I only got charged for the regular filet on their menu too which was a nice bonus. For dessert we ordered the hot chocolate donuts which are sugar coated fried dough balls with a side of incredibly rich hot chocolate sauce, these were excellent and a satisfying amount came with the order. 5 stars.

Great restaurant with a variety of food options for a large group of 20 people. Service was excellent.

Vincent was wonderful and the food was great! Love that it was BYOB so we got our favorite Cab to accompany our steaks. Would recommend Brandl 10/10!

I come here regularly with my partner, it’s one of our favorites. The food is incredible, the service is lovely, I couldn’t find a thing to complain about with a microscope, and I recommend it to everyone for a nice night out. We’ll be coming back as long as they keep letting us in the door.

I absolutely enjoyed every bite I ate! The seafood was outstanding. Great atmosphere and friendly and knowledgeable staff. Highly recommended!!!

I have no words to express how much my office enjoyed their Christmas dinner at Brandl. We had two wonderful waiters, Vincent and Arturo. They went far and beyond and exceeded my expectations. Vincent was extremely knowledgeable of the menu and answered all of our questions. He even suggested certain entrees and appetizers and we ordered them all. If you are in the Belmar area and just want a nice atmosphere with GREAT food and wonderful staff, please, I highly recommend Brandl! Thank you Brandl for the wonderful dinner you provided my office.

Service is always outstanding, Vincent, Arturo are great, always friendly helpful and very knowledgeable, make us feel like family! Paul was off tonight, but we always enjoy when he’s here. The food is amazing, the daily specials are a bonus… love trying them! Definitely our go to place!!!

The service was excellent. For dinner we had the scallop dish, braised short ribs, porterhouse and the Thai shrimp.. The food was delicious and our plates were clear at the end of dinner. For dessert- the hot donuts with chocolate - 5 stars all around. Highly recommended!

Nice dinner last night at Brandl in Belmar, NJ. I did not get pictures of their excellent appetizers but did get one of the #clams #shrimp #chicken #chorizo #paella and the dessert #vanilla #icecream #applestrudel The paella was very good and was a dish for two. I split it with a friend and there enough left for a 3rd person. It was huge! Ice cream (1/4 cup) with caramel was perfect ending and could not tackle the strudel as I was full. Everyone in our group of six agreed it was excellent.

We love Brandl! It is our favorite restaurant to come to as a family. We always have a wonderful time thanks to the fantastic service! The food is absolutely delicious - I always get the lazy lobster or the scallops. Highly recommend!

The food was amazing. This is a great place for a date night

My fiancé and I loved this dining experience. From the decor and lighting, to the impeccable service and of course, the apps (salad and crab cake) and entrees (everything crusted salmon and sea scallops), everything was beyond our expectations. It’s pricey, but the portions and taste were worth it to us. Such a hidden gem! We will definitely be back.

We LOVE your food and Vincent is the BEST waiter ever!! He knows how to serve and beautifully represent your dinners. Please keep him!

GF Vegan and I ordered three vegetables as my dinner. Really good. Especially the brussel sprouts! My husband loved the lobster pot stickers and dark chocolate soufflé!
