We are truly sorry for the delay on your won item and your uncomfortable experience. At the first time noticing the issue you mentioned, we had fully refunded you the painting cost.

Now we have refunded you the shipping cost and sales tax as well. However, we are still waiting for you to return the painting to us. Could you please ship it back to us as soon as possible?

As an experienced auctioneer, we served hundreds of our customers worldwide for a couple of years, and we aim to serve our clients' needs as best as possible.

Advisory: I purchased a painting from Unicorn using the LiveAuctioneer platform. Unicorn delayed shipment for two months and gave lots of excuses. When it did arrive, it looked nothing like the photos posted online. The painting also smelled of fresh paint and was tacky to the touch. I contacted them and they changed their story from saying the lots description of “highly valued original” to a “known copy.” Thankfully, LiveAuctioneers stepped in and demanded that Unicorn refund all of my money. Unicorn did refund the purchase price, but kept all the tax and shipping. When LiveAuctioneer management asked Unicorn to refund this portion and informed them that out of state customers should never be charged sales tax Unicorn stoped cooperating completely and kept all of the tax. The copy of the painting was amateur and cartoonish. This is not a sophisticated operation of master forgery. Unicorn has no morals or scruples. Buyer beware.

DO NOT DEAL WITH UNICORN ANTIQUE!!! They are crooks. I bought a painting from them that stated “Heart of the Andes oil painting of Frederic Edwin Church”. After waiting several weeks I received a painting that was not by the artist they listed and a was a very poorly (sophomoric) copy of his work. I would be embarrassed to hang it on my wall! When I contacted them they said that I should have known better because a Church painting would have been much more expensive than what I paid ($800) even though it was both Church’s name and Church’s painting they listed in the auction description.
