Texas Mexican Restaurant

The entrance off 3 W Main Street is so welcoming and inviting drawing you in. Once inside the vibrant colors, amazing art and lighting really set a vibe. The authenticity of the cultural aesthetic gave me a new sense of awareness of the vibrancy of Freehold Borough. It was so clean, the tables shined and the floors impeccable. A very nice family atmosphere and the service was excellent, our order was ready in less time than anticipated, I was almost disappointed because I was enjoying the atmosphere so much. The food is outstanding, my youngest of 17 has a very particular pallet, he absolutely loves the TMR. I have digestive issues and need to stick to basic entrees, so I have to yet experiment with the menu. When my kid is happy, I'm happy. It is nice to have such great cuisine so close by.

I didn't know this was a thing until I looked around Freehold borough. It turns out, they have top tier Mexican food! Their chicharron was plentiful and flavorful! I ordered their tacos and they didn't disappoint. Everything was great and the service was helpful!

Amazing food! I love their pancilla, I believe it’s called, it’s the spicy soup with tripe. It is absolutely amazing to eat! I try to get it everytime. I also love their quesadillas and burritos, they are extremely filling. The best part is that you know that everything is made fresh and you are getting some of the best food in Freehold when you eat here.

Very nice staff and the food is presented so meticulously. Everything is delicious each time we go. Definitely recommended. We have been ordered food here for over 5 years and never had a bad meal. It's always presented on the plate neatly, unlike some other restaurants with similar type of good. I would confidently call this one of the best restaurants in freehold for food quality and happy service with a smile.

This is an absolutely wonderful Tex-Mex restaurant. The lunch menu is an incredibly good value; there's a lot of flavor and great food packed onto those plates. I'm already looking forward to going back and trying new dishes!

Delicious restaurant with a relaxed vibe. The service was a touch slow at times, but overall we had a great experience while sitting outside. I liked the tacos and would definitely have them again, although next time I might try something different.

Fresh and cooked to the right flavor. The Staff is friendly. A great place for great food. Plates are pretty large and can be shared.

Went for lunch. Service was quick, food good for taste. Portion size is decent. Free chips and salsa. There hot sauce (red and green) home made is really hot. We found the chicken portion in buritto bowl and taco americano to be little less as compare to lunch fajita which is decent size portion.

Best Mexican food in Freehold! So good!! 10/10 would go again.

Absolutely excellent food, one of my favorite restaurants. We come here every couple of months or so and always are blown away. The Bandeja Paisa (#27) is seriously amazing.

This was our 2nd visit to the Texas Mexican restaurant within the past month. Of course we both insisted we return to eat again so soon because I forgot to take pictures the last time. The food and service are both outstanding! It has become our number 1 choice when in the area. We started with the stuffed jalapenos. I got the chili relleno with enchiladas on special and he got the steak azteca.

Cute small Mexican restaurant in downtown Freehold. The service was very attentive and pleasant. The salsa had a good flavor with a bit of spice. The chicken street tacos and burrito was very tasty. I’d definitely go back and bring my own margaritas. 😀

The Burris taco is a must get! For the price of $16 it’s a steal, quality is amazing and the portion size is worth it!! Not to mention the free chips and salsa you also get! I believe it’s a family owned business and they do such a great job!

Staff very friendly and fast even when crowded. Food was outstanding, fresh and good size portions. Like the signs THIS IS NOT A FAST RESTAURANT BE PREPARED TO wait. Well worth the wait. Will be back.

They have an amazing torta sandwich and so many other tasty options. Friendly staff, delicious food, and a warm and inviting space. Highly recommended.

Speechless after eating here! 100000 times better than any other Mexican restaurant in the area!!!!

The food here was amazing!! We love authentic cuisine, but this far surpassed our expectations. Right when you walk in, you’re taken to a whole new place and experience because of the decor and atmosphere. The service was great. It was our daughters birthday, and we didn’t realize what time they closed. NOT ONE TIME did they rush us out or make us feel like an inconvenience for staying past closing. I would recommend this restaurant to any person I know…it was worth the 2 hour drive.

One of finest place for Mexican food. Food was absolutely delicious, good portion size. You have to wait for food because they made it fresh and you can tell the difference.

The food was so delicious, among my party we tried a burrito, burrito bowl, and the tamale & enchilada. The lunch special was a great deal for the amount and quality of food you get! The inside is very cute and it was also nice to have the option of eating outdoors.
