This is my favorite and only Chinese restaurant within 20 miles. The food is outstanding using only the freshest ingredients. Every dish tells a different flavor. Szechuan style is one of the most incredible, mouthwatering styles they offer and can’t be missed.
As you walk in or call in the owner’s are always very courteous and friendly. The place is small, but extremely well cared for, and the open kitchen allows you to enjoy the artistry that goes into the creation of each of the dishes. And then the prices, very reasonable and they offer in their menu a wide range of options even for the picky palate. Come and explore their amazing food delicacies, they’re not like the others.

We love ordering from Ocean Garden and do it weekly when our daughter takes dance class. The owners are super friendly, and the food is always fresh, hot and delicious. The price too is super reasonable, hands down our fav Chinese takeout spot in NJ. It’s authentic too, I am Chinese myself and I appreciate the effort they put into the food. We especially love the boneless spare ribs, dumplings, and the chow fun, the kids prefer this place than anywhere else we order. Support your local business!!

Omg my first time ordering from Doordash and it was wonderful. The Boneless Rid was awesome sauce😘 and the Shrimp Lo Mein was great nice juicy not dried out. I will order again but next time in person.

I’ve been coming here for a while. First time writing a review for them. I came here on a suggestion from a Dunellen group on Facebook. I usually order Chicken/Beef Lo Mein, Broccoli and Chicken and the Boneless Buffalo Chicken. Everything always is delicious and relatively quick to pick up. The people are friendly, store is clean, and I never go away with any stomach aches or anything bad. It’s a good spot to go. Panda in Dunellen used to be my spot, but I’ve been coming here even before they closed up. Nothing bad to say about them either.

The Boneless Buffalo Chicken is really great! Highly recommend.

Prices here are pretty good in my opinion even with inflation raging on. You will pay more for beef or pork though, obviously. Chicken is cheaper.

All in all, a wonderful spot to stop for some local Chinese. Directly in back of the Quick Check.

I order from here all the time! I genuinely love their food and their service is always positive and friendly. We have tried so many places around here to find the right Chinese restaurant for us and after finding them I've never gone elsewhere. Great job.

I ordered during Christmas, the food was amazing and was made really quickly. We ordered food for a whole party and it was amazing! The fried rice was hot and was really good. The soup was warm and the wontons were great. Best service ever. I always see bad reviews on this place, but I’ll always keep coming here for amazing food.

Great place to eat, best service and great food!

I am always happy with my orders from here. To me they are the best in the area. My only suggestion for improvement would be to use thinner dough for the dumplings. As far as all the staples go such as General Tso's and Lo mein they are very good.

My fave Chinese food spot. Never disappoints me and always taste great. I use to live in Bound Brook but moved to Somerset and still order from here...I'll do the drive.

I pass about 8 other Chinese restaurants to go to Ocean Garden. Their food is always fresh and perfectly sautéed, imo (I don’t like food drowning in sauce). Also, they are a very friendly and hard working family, who appreciate their community and customers.
