Baldwin Public Library

My daughter and I went there so I could print out very important documents. We had a lot of time to kill before an appointment my daughter had in the area. Had a little problem logging onto the computers, but the young lady at the desk helped me out greatly. Their login system is different from the one at my local library. Anyway, I had to call my boyfriend, and I kept my tone as low as possible. These documents were extremely important, so I had no choice to call him from the computer room. Well, the young lady at the front desk was not complaining about the volume of my voice, and neither was anybody else in the computer room. All of a sudden, some guy, and not to mention in a menacing type of way, told me to be quiet. He didn't ask me politely, like a gentleman would, to please lower my voice because it was making him lose concentration or whatever. So I went right back at him. Then he said something under his breath and I said "What the hell did you just say to me??!" Then he proceeded to tell me that he was "done" with what he had to say to me. My response? "Not today, son!!" I am very easy to get along with, but I will not deal with anybody disrespecting me, especially a man. If my boyfriend were there with me and my daughter, that low-life's mouth would have stayed shut. So watch out for a crazed looking man in the computer room. Other than him, the library is like one I've never seen before. And I highly suggest going there.

Well organized, neat, big computer area and comfortable study spaces. Although not to big, best use of space.

I love this library. In addition to the great book selections and programs offered another great part is being greeted by Debra entering the library and then a nice take care/ see you later when leaving. She has the most approachable, welcoming, friendly, beautiful, warm presence I have ever encountered at this library. Also, I don’t not know her from anywhere but this review is well deserving!! I hope she stays around for some time especially during these trying times for everyone. If you can never be too kind was a person, it’s her. Thank you Debra!

We love Baldwin Public Library! My daughter and I come here often and she likes to do puzzles & games on the tablet, color print outs that the librarians gladly give to her, and choose books to either read there or bring home. They also always have really cute take home crafts for the kiddos. The children's room is very sweet and so are the people who work there! I've never met a more friendly staff anywhere else 🙂

Great experience each time

I totally enjoyed events at the library today for National Library week. Picked out books for my grandchildren and myself. Also indulged in having vanilla ice cream and popcorn. What more can one want!

Great library, very friendly. Love the automated check out feature. You place books on machine 8 at a time and after swiping library card they check you out. Very efficient

I come to this library to illustrate my work. It's very quiet and i can concentrate better ideas to my artwork I've studied under very great artists Charles Schultz, Andrew gududaire,and robert sowarzrt, I'm currently working on my last book of illustrations intitaled the final sketch of graffito

Excellent Library. The staff are courteous and knowledgeable. Toddler Time and play time are great for my two year old.

This is my place, go there for a couple hours, sometimes more...I read, it's so relaxing. And the people there ....its like a big family.

This library is a great example of what a small town library should provide to the residents: great selection of books, computers, quiets rooms, and helpful staff.

Friendly staff, great resources for all members of the family-Young and old alike. Clean and well kept!

I like it because is a very nice place and they open on Sundays!!!
