Sakana Sushi & Ramen

It is my favorite sushi spot. We recently dined at Sakana instead of order pickup, and they did not disappoint. Everything looked and tasted great, especially the salmon which was melt-in-mouth delicious and all 3 specialty rolls.

This restaurant is a gem. Out of the 30 or so ramen places I have tried in NJ, Sakana makes the top 3 easily. The atmosphere is clean and pleasant, the service is quick, and the food is excellent. Prices are competitive as well, highly recommend.

Wonderful place! The inside is beautiful and a really nice ambiance. Service was great and the food was delicious. Definitely recommend and can't wait to return! The sushi and teas were amazing.

The ginger tea was my favorite drink on this cold day. I had 3-4 small kettles. The ramen is pretty good. I enjoyed the appetizers. The tuna wrapped around lobster. The service was great! It is definitely a hidden gem! I will be back.

Absolutely incredible. Everything from the presentation of the dishes to the overall ambiance. The service was quick and helpful. They have a wide selection to choose from and the menu has very detailed pictures. All in all if I lived closer I’d be here regularly

Fast, consistent only non whale hunting establishment in the area. They have lunch specials unlike the majority of restaurants in this area. Please keep the ghetto away from here.

This place is a hidden gem. Ramen is on POINT. I had spicy Miso and went back for the Tonkotsu the NEXT day! I also had this other app, it starts with a T. It was delicious 😋 too.

Best sushi I've had in a long time! I went for lunch and had the 'Sex on the Beach roll' which was delicious! Very fresh and great presentation. I didn't take any photos but I will next time. Great service and location is convenient. It was pretty empty for lunch service which was great as I was in and out in 30 minutes. I'll definitely be back! :-)

Very fresh sushi and they put an effort to decorate each dish. Will definitely recommend.

Very authentic Japanese food. You can find mostly Asian and among which many Japanese people eating there. Same food quality cost 50% more on Manhattan, based on my experience. I tried the Omakase and the grilled squid. I've definitely eaten better Omakase before, but those cost more than $100 whereas the one offered at Jo-Sho only cost $50. Overall a very good deal.

They actually write the Japanese name (mostly in Kanji) of all the daily special stuff on a whiteboard, giving you more feeling of authenticity.

The other appetizers and dinner sets look good too, and that's something I'll try next time.

Honestly, THE BEST SUSHI IN THE AREA. We have tried so many sushi restaurants around trying to find one that would actually make us happy and we found it! This became our sushi go to place, portions are big and them fish is very fresh! They have very unique delicious rolls as well as the classics. The sushi sandwich was a very nice surprise and prices are reasonable. Definitely recommended!

We've always enjoyed our meals here but tonight tops them all. Tonight when I went in to eat they said they had been waiting for me and they had something for me. Apparently when I was in a few months ago I dropped money with a few receipts out of my pocket. They returned my money. I had no clue I had even dropped any money. What an incredible testimony to their honesty. My family and I love this place even more now.

I came here with my son as a father son dinner date and we had a blast. He really loved the Shumai.

The sashimi is super fresh.
They give you free sides for some dishes even for dinner menus. Mine came with salad, and soup.

I used to dislike their previous establishment because they don't serve ramen unless two people per table minimum gets ramen.
Sakana, serves ramen if only one person orders per table.

They have variety of desserts including bubble tea!
Portions are on the larger side for the price you pay for.
Your food gets served to you on time.

They don't cut corners such as using old oil nor serving fake ice cream.
In this complex, I went to an Indian bubble tea store next few stores over; they serve frozen dairy, which is icecream made of animal gelatin, whey, & artificial preservatives.
Now, I can get bubble tea here which is $2 lower in price than the Indian bubble tea store!
Thank goodness a restaurant in this community treats customers reasonably instead of trying to whale hunt!

Best lunch sushi rolls in the area. A little pricey, but you can tell you get great value with the fish to rice ratio.
