This man Erik Mahler is a snake! Represented himself as the buyer and my mother as the seller and sold himself my mom's house for half the value! I contacted him prior to the final sale to reason with him as my mom was being "romance scammed" and instead of being sympathetic he pushed the sale through quickly under the threat of placing a lean on the house for $100,000.00! Avoid this real estate at all costs!

Mahler Realty has a bad reputation for taking advantage of seniors. I am 81 years old and he was heartless and so were his lawyers. He is now suing me for $120,000 which is almost half of the money he paid me for my house that was appraised for $570.000. I hope he gets what he deserves. God turns evil into good.

He was not satisfied wanted to remove me in one month with no place to go and I tried to stay with a friend in their studio in Greenwich Gardens and got bed bugs . He took me to court to have me evicted and because it took me 8 months to leave at my age of 81 years old. He has sued me for $120,000 which is almost half what he paid for my house worth $570 by a legal appraisal I had done at the recommendation of lawyers and other real estate agents. He is the son of the original owner and has a reputation of taking advantage of seniors. I have lost everything because he refused to cancel the sales contract unless I gave him $100,000. He will get what he deserves. God turns evil into good.

Update, I hear the church he attends has asked him to leave due to his business practices and his wife is very sick... Karma

I am currently displaces due to my apartment burning down. I went to this business as one of my neighbors said how helpful a woman there was. Well this was NOT my experience. The young man Jorge was extremely pleasant however, the woman (Caucasian) who overheard me say I have a section 8 voucher came out to emphasize how she could not help me and proceeded to say it several times thereafter. Then told me how section 8 should be assisting me. Well ma'am before you made your assumption of me maybe you should know that not everyone who receives assistance is less then as you CLEARLY seem to think! Not that it should EVER matter but I guess I already had 2 strikes against me 1. My tan was a few shades too dark and the other was my voucher. Let me clear this up, I am college educated married to my husband of 30 years. A proud Navy mom as 1 of my daughter are currently serving and the other is gainfully employed. I have given both the state of NY and Nassau County over 20 years of service, so I have no problem accepting assistance from a program that my tax dollars help to fund. So before you go making unfounded assumptions of people which clearly showcases your own personal bias just remember you too could one day need a new home as you never know when tragedy may strike and because I feel there may be a bit of housing discrimination here I will be voicing that to the BBB.

Erik Mahler was one of the worst and difficult Realtor I ever came across. He was very rude on the phone and extremely unprofessional. He said he was going to return my call and he never did!! I don’t know if he didn’t like my Muslim last name but I still can’t believe how rude he was on the phone. He sounded like a racist. STAY AWAY!!!!!
