Sal's Place

Are you looking for somewhere to go on a Friday or Saturday night. I'm talking about a place where you can eat drink and have fun. I'm talking about a place where the beer flows like wine, where the men & women instinctively flock like the salmon of Capistrano! I'm talking about a little place called Sals Place! This local spot has been serving the community of N.Massapequa for many years. The menu offers alot of great options and one of them is the Steak Tidbit sandwich. Topped with melted mozzarella on a open faced garlic bread that was nice and soft and still had a good crunch to it and make no mistake about it the star of this sandwich is the Steak. For those who aren't familiar with Hanger steak back in the old days it was nicknamed butcher steak because it was loved so much by them they didn't want to sell it to their customers, they wanted to hang on to their steak! If you go to Sals Place I highly recommend the Tidbit sandwich its a great portion too. The only mistake I made was leaving half my sandwich unattended when I came back from the bathroom my wife ate the rest of it. I looked at her disgusted and said you really shouldn't eat my steak sandwich my mother ate my steak sandwich once.............ONCE!!!

This was my first time here. We went in for lunch & were seated right away. Staff was friendly & always available to get you anything you need. Food was delicious. I will definitely be back!

Awesome 1st time experience dining here!! We will be back! French onion soup..."off the hook" delicious! Steak and gorgonzola wrap.. Primo! Reuben sandwich..... Primo! Next time back will try some of the entrees! Chris, our server,above and beyond!! Rob....a true gentleman...

They are open for dine in right now, but I suggest reservations! This place is EXCELLENT! I’ve been here a few times and a family member uses them for catering! My favorite is the pot roast sandwich!

This place knocks it out of the park every time I find there AND NOW THEY SERVE BRUNCH ON SUNDAYS! I think I've died and gone to heaven.

Great local spot. Food is good and service is usually pretty good. When it's crowded, it is loud though.

My family went there in between my mother's wake service. I delt with Cookie was was in charge of organizing the food and service. We could not have had a better experience!!!!. Food and service was outstanding. Thank you guys. Will highly recommend

The best bar food in the business.

The food is so tasty and the drinks are well made. The bartenders and owner are so friendly and talented. Its a great atmosphere for couples, friends and family. It's a great place for last minute date nights or random get together with friends. This place is definitely for grown-ups.

We catered my dad's birthday party from here and it was our first time having it... the food was amazing... the steak teriyaki is to die for.... absolutely we all loved it. Thank you.

The food was very good and the server was attentive. The owner even gave us a bib for my newborn to take home, which was very nice. They have a wide variety of food which is also delicious,, a decent sized bar, and good waitstaff. I would come back again.

Always a go-to place for good food and drinks. We're never disappointed. Comfortable to eat in the dining room or at the bar; casual and fun. You want a good burger... come here! The staff is always friendly and smiling.

Went here with my fiancee for our second anniversary. We had a wonderful time. The food and drinks were delicious. Service was very comfortable and not rushed. So many choices to pick but all are delicious. We will definitely go back.

ETA: This place gets a ton of repeat business and is almost always busy when I'm there. Someone posted "portions below normal" and "very over priced," but I don't think you'd see so much repeat business if that was the case.

I make it to Sal's at least twice a month for lunch, and the portions are ample. Even better, the quality is excellent. There are several other "American" restaurants/bars in the vicinity, many of which come in at a higher price point. Since I work in the area, I've tried them all--repeatedly-- Singleton's, Sweeney's, Palmer's, etc..

Sal's consistently delivers on great pub food; consistently offers friendly service; and does it at a fair price. Sal's is the real deal.

Great neighborhood restaurant and bar with a wide menu selection of American fare. The staff was helpful, friendly and attentive. Everyone in our party of 8 enjoyed there their selection. Excellent choices for apps, and the entrees were moderately priced.

Excellent food Tip: We ordered the spare ribs which were delicious. We both loved them. Served with mashed potatoes & a vegetable. The staff were excellent. Service was great. We will definitely return.
