Schaefer's Ace Hardware

My father went to Ace Hardware to purchase maintenance supplies for his tool box. He was greeted by Sophia who was knowledgeable, helpful and very kind. The shelves were well stocked and organized and she made it easy to get all of the things he needed. We just wanted to leave a review so that everyone knows how outstanding she is and what a great job she does.

Sofia has made my experience fantastic! She is very attentive, very kind and extremely knowledgeable! If you are going to this store if possible and you can get help from her you won’t be disappointed!! Thank you so much Sofía!

I own first class roofing, getting materials and supplies is hard right away came to ace hardware , met this young lady Sophie , supplying at a section , I have received everything I needed including materials for the past week since I have been visiting. thank you for service

It's been a few weeks since I finish my office renovation. I'm sitting here and pondering how great this room came out. And it made me remember that this room would not have come out this way if it wasn't for someone that I am forever grateful to have run into by chance. It was fate that we met because I really needed help.

I needed to get paint along with other things for this office reno. I knew I wanted Benjamin Moore and I was over at a friend's house in Long Island. Looked up Benjamin Moore and an Ace Hardware came up. It was perfect a one stop shop for everything I need instead of making a separate trip to Home Depot. I went straight to paint first and I was greeted immediately by Sofia. I am a very skeptical individual when approached by any customer service and I treated Sofia no different. I'm a know it all I do not need help from anyone. But paint is one of those things that I cannot tell one white from another. So I provided her with some choices I had in mind. Here is where the tides changed for me. She ask me something I never thought about. She ask if where I am putting the paint have a lot, little or no sunlight. I was like WHAT!? In my mind I couldn't process why she was asking me this. She proceeded to explain about warm and cool colors and how sunlight plays a huge factor. My mind was blown at this point! Something I never even through about but made sense as she was explaining. Then my closed off personality slowly opened up to her. It also helped that she was so easy to talk with too. But her knowledge in paint and coloring is unmatched by any rep or paint store I have ever approached me or I questioned. Really impressed this girl knows her stuff. Lesson learned never judge a book by it's cover. I did not expect that coming out of her.

I ended up getting Simply White for my walls from her suggestions with the added warmth in this color versus what I originally picked out. Trim we agreed on together and went with Bright White. I am so happy with the way the room came out that it made me write this review sitting in my office. Something I never do. But I want to expose this angel that hides in the paint department for anyone unsure about colors like myself. This girl will surprise you. More knowledgeable than some old codger that you would assume know more about paint base on looks haha. I am forever grateful that I ran into you I would have hated the color I originally chose. Painted once and done. You saved me. Hope you see this message and know you impacted someone's life and their way of looking at colors will never be the same. Thank you Sofia :)

My past experiences at Ace Hardware in RVC have always been very positive. A few days ago I went in for deck screws, as usual I went downstairs to see What was on sale for yard items. I saw something and went upstairs to ask a salesperson about it. A young lady behind the counter overheard my conversation and said she would be happy to check availability for me. She spent the next fifteen minutes helping me, even walked downstairs to make sure of What I wanted. She was so nice that I asked her for her name. She is Sofia and the manager of the store. Now I understand why everyone there is so helpful, I believe it is because of her lead. I am expecting delivery of my purchase next week. One happy customer.

Schaefer's Ace is one of the best hardware stores I've been to, and as a contractor I frequent a lot of stores. Even when it’s a little bit further from where we are working, I will go out of my way to come here for the selection and quality of service. Sofia in particular is knowledge, friendly, and always extremely helpful in getting me what I need- whether it's a large purchase or I'm just trying to match a dozen screws for cabinetry. This store (and Sofia) are a true asset to the area!

I have been a longtime customer at this location since I bought a house here in 2011 that needed significant renovations. Week after week for five years I would come to this Ace location and rely on the good advice from associates here to help me solve a problem. Even though my renovations completed a few years ago, I still go to this Ace in RVC as my initial go-to for various items knowing that someone will volunteer their help and expertise. There's real value in that helpfulness. Thank you, Sofia for all of your help last weekend with my landscaping questions...appreciated!

My husband and I were in this location yesterday (3/24) to buy spring clean up items etc. The staff here is nothing short of amazing. The gentleman that helped us find everything we needed was so personable and knowledgeable! We had seen a patio set a couple of months back and also purchased that and to our surprise delivery was free!!!! I’ve never heard of free delivery (lol). To say this is why we choose Ace over other big box store is an understatement! Thank you to the amazing employees (our cashier too). You have forever customers 😃

I recently had the pleasure of meeting Sofia Hussain at Schaefer's Ace Hardware in Rockville Centre, NY, and I have to say that she is a fantastic employee. As someone who doesn't typically frequent stores like this, I was a bit lost and unsure of what I needed. However, Sofia approached me and immediately put me at ease.

She took the time to talk to me about my needs and what I was looking for, and even made some helpful recommendations. I was really impressed with her kindness and compassion, and her willingness to go above and beyond in her customer service.

What really stood out to me was how attentive Sofia was, especially since I noticed that other employees in the store seemed disinterested in helping customers. It's clear that Sofia truly cares about providing excellent service, and her efforts did not go unnoticed.

Thanks to Sofia, I will definitely be returning to Schaefer's Ace Hardware whenever I need anything. It's not often that you come across such a helpful and friendly employee, and I feel lucky to have met her. To the store owners, I would like to say that you have a real gem in Sofia. She deserves high commendation for her hard work and dedication to her customers.

A friend of mine wanted my help with some home improvements, so I had stopped by ACE Hardware to pick up some essentials and I was met with sincere professionalism and assistance. The store was well organized and it was easy to tell where what was. One employee, Sofia, did a magnificent job showing me exactly where the items I was looking were at while also making very helpful suggestions that indeed made a difference with the projects on my agenda. I definitely would return here if my friend calls upon me, especially if Sofia is around to make the experience efficient and seamless.

I contacted Schaefer's Ace Hardware for the first time looking to purchase a Green Egg smoker and was pleasantly surprised at the level of professionalism and amazing customer service. Sofia was extremely helpful and made my shopping experience one of a kind. I will definitely be reaching out to them again for future purchases. 10 out of 10!

Yesterday I went to the store and requested a gallon of paint. When it came out I thought it looked wrong. The salesperson was super accommodating and didn’t make me purchase a color that was wrong. Today I brought my wife back and it turns out the paint was the correct color all along. In talking to the same salesperson he said that’s what customer service is all about. You don’t hear that anymore and it was incredibly refreshing. You’ve earned yourself a customer for life. I wouldn’t even mind paying more for such great service!

On top of that the store is STOCKED! They have an incredible selection.

Great location, we went looking for last minute things for a photoshoot and Sofia helped us. She was extremely knowledgeable and helped us find all we needed she offer great suggestions of things like tape and paint we needed and didn't try to oversell us into buying more than was needed. We are painting our studio soon and will come back!

I have made several trips now to Schaefer's Ace Hardware in Rockville Centre, NY these last few months. I decided to expand my garden this year to include several raised beds. On a recommendation I placed an online order for 12 bags of the Organic Raised Bed Soil and Black Cow Garden Soil. When I arrived at the store to pick it up it was already for me, stacked by the door with my name on it. Easy peasy! Then I came back to get more of the Black Cow Garden Soil. This past week I have made two trips for 10 bags of 1 cubic bags of garden soil and then returned for 14 more bags. Each time that I go in the store the staff could not be more friendly and more willing to help me with whatever I need. Today, again, Sophia was right there to help me get what I needed. The associate who helped me to the car with the 10 bags last time was helping another customer so Sophia did not hesitate for a second. She ran and got the cart and Sophia, the cashier who came over unprompted, which was so nice, and I loaded the cart. Sophia wheeled it out to the car and proceeded to help me load the car. We were both covered in soil and she was not phased by it at all. She is the sweetest individual and is a remarkable supervisor which is apparent by how organized and neat the store is and by how genuinely nice and genuinely helpful the associates are. Kudos to Sophia. She makes it a pleasure to shop local instead of running to Lowes or Home Depot. It is just such a nice experience, so convenient and so nice to deal with such a nice staff.
