ONE SEVENTY NINE BAR AND GRILL

I recently celebrated my best friend's birthday at 179 and Grill, and it was an unforgettable experience! From the moment we walked in, the ambiance set a warm and welcoming tone for the evening. The staff was attentive and friendly, making us feel right at home.

We indulged in an array of delicious dishes that were nothing short of culinary excellence. The ossobuco was tender and flavorful, falling off the bone, while the calamari was perfectly crispy and seasoned to perfection. The chicken Parmesan was a delightful comfort dish, with just the right balance of cheese and sauce over succulent chicken.

For dessert, the banana bread pudding and tiramisu were the cherries on top of a fantastic meal. Each dessert was a masterpiece of flavors, beautifully presented and incredibly satisfying.

I can't recommend 179 and Grill enough for anyone looking for a memorable dining experience in New Rochelle. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or just in search of great food in a lovely atmosphere, this restaurant is sure to impress. Can't wait to return and explore more of their menu!

An excellent experience from start to finish. Creative and delicious (and strong!) cocktails, delicious apps and salad, great selection of entrees. There’s something for everyone - each person in my party ordered something different and we all loved what we had: fish, chicken and pork. All perfectly prepared and portions were far from skimpy. Dessert was also scrumptious. We shared a few things — the toffee ice cream deliciousness was out of this world. Oh, and a good wine list - we had a delicious Australian Cabernet that went perfectly with the meal. The best part was the servers and wait staff were so attentive and accommodating…and did not rush our meal. Highly recommend this for a nice evening out!! And if the weather is nice, the patio is the place to be!

Came here for the brunch and the experience was awesome. The food was excellent as well as the service and atmosphere. Avocado eggs Benedict with chorizo was delicious. Staff is polite and attentive.

We took a drive over the CT border to New Rochelle while it was Hudson Valley restaurant week! We really liked the menu at 179 Bar & Grill for brunch and weren’t disappointed. The pancakes were light and fluffy, and being tres leches they caught my eye right away. Great French toast with smoked bacon, loved the burrata chicken sandwich and avocado eggs Benedict, and they made great cocktails too! The staff were all attentive and friendly, and it was a nice vibe inside. We will be keeping them in mind for future visits to the area!

Found this place randomly on google was looking for a place to grab some drinks and appetizers. We sat outside since it was a nice day. The server was very nice and attentive. We ordered a couple drinks also we had the mussels, calamari, dumplings and oyster and everything was good. Got the mussels in white wine sauce and was very flavorful. I would come back to try a entree

Baby shower success!! I had my baby shower here a few months ago and I’m still getting compliments at how beautiful the restaurant was, the delicious food and the great staff. The restaurant owner and chef were so accommodating and really worked with me to make my dream baby shower a reality. We created a great menu (with accommodation for dietary restrictions!) and worked out options for seating and decorations. We had over 50 guests. I can’t thank Dario and chef enough for making my baby shower so special!

Birthday dinner with a good friend in this gem of a restaurant. The service is top notch and clean. Food plating is exquisite and On the street parking. I recommend the lobster ravioli and the spinach is light and airy which i didn't think was possible.

Hands down the best restaurant in Westchester County. I have lived in Westchester most of my life and have been to hundreds of restaurants and this one takes the cake. Every single thing on the menu was delicious and somehow unique, including the drinks. I have never had potato croquets with cheese mixed inside. It was out of this world. The seasonings, the perfect cooks on each item, all of it was mouth watering. Even the nachos are a cheese smothered plate of tiny crispy tacos. Can you believe that?? And the drinks had so much flavor with no burn of harsh alcohol. The service here is unbelievable and the decor/atmosphere is fun yet romantic. This place is truly a diamond in Westchester, serving any kind of cuisine your heart desires.

The food is fantastic!!! I tried a couple of different dishes. They have classic dishes with outstanding flavors for a very affordable price. Great cocktails and atmosphere. Impeccable service. If you are looking for a new place to try, look no further.

VERY IMPRESSED with ONE SEVENTY NINE BAR & GRILL located on Main St in New Rochelle. Plenty of parking in the covered garage. Wasn't sure where the main entrance was, would have liked more signage. Entered the side door through the garage. Met up with friends here on a Friday evening for dinner after our first restaurant pick ended up being closed. I can confidently say I am glad it was because close to nothing could have topped this dinning experience!! Great variety in the menu and a perfect size to avoid getting overwhelmed. I liked the modern touch with the use of the tablets. My only critique is that it did get a bit loud and the place was fairly small and tables were close together so at times it was difficult to hear each other but that's as expected for a Friday crowd. Food was delicious and came out quickly and hot. Dessert was spectacular and ice cream tasted fresh and homemade. Portions were medium to large and presentation was very nice as well. Staff was friendly and worked smoothly and efficiently throughout the restaurant and stayed on top of refilling the water glasses. Will definitely return and planning to tell friends about this place!

Called the restaurant at about 8pm for an 8:15pm dinner reservation. The awesome manager told me he was going to make it happen.. Got in with my family of seven and was quickly greated by a wonderful host who I later found out wasn't the host but the fiancee to the manager. She was so sweet and made us feel welcomed even before we got a table. Once we sat down, the service was fast and topnotch, food was good and drinks was hitting...Definitely going back again and again..

One Seventy Nine is by far one of the best places to eat on the entire Westchester area. I personally know the owner, Dario and I can confidently assure that he really takes care of this place. He buys the best quality ingredients from the best providers and takes care of every customer that comes here. Service is outstanding and welcoming. A truly modern high-end experience suitable for all the family.

Welcoming service from owner and staff, top quality dishes, the best drinks and the nice and clean environment makes up for a well deserved 5 star rating.

This restaurant is actually pretty fancy, with nice table cloths and a cool cozy atmosphere. Great for a date night or dinner with friends. The tables had candles and the room was dimly lit. It's a little loud but I think that was based on the number of people there because as the restaurant emptied out the noise died down. The service is exceptional, the servers do mutilple check ins to make sure things are going well. The menu is extensive and offers something for everyone. Would highly recommend!

Went here for early dinner with my wife, beautiful day to sit outside after strolling at Five Island Park. We know it is a new place before the last 3 previous restaurant.

Food was great , service is excellent and overall experience is amazing.

We just have 1 comment ;) When we ask for the check, they already added 20% gratuity for party of 2 and it never happened to us every time we eat out. (Asian Descent here) It’s just funny and no big deal to us. We tip 25%

Had my 50th birthday brunch here! This place was AMAZING! The food was excellent, beautiful presentation for everything they serve! The place smelled so clean and the service was impeccable! Everyone was so nice! Definitely coming back and recommending this place to everyone I know! 👏 👏👏

Omg! Such a cute place with amazing food, strong drinks and great service! I visited for the first time during a 'Soft Life Outing' with my cousin. We were looking for a nice lunch after visiting Five Islands Park and this place did not disappoint!

We ordered calamari (cooked and seasoned perfectly), shrimp dumplings (super flavorful/minced shrimp), and the glazed Brussel sprouts (perfect crispy to chewy balance and out of this world flavor)! Our cocktails were also great and had us a little tipsy from just one! The decor was seasonal and very warm. I am still looking for an excuse to make it back there! Get there now!

I had an amazing experience this evening at 179 bar and grill !!! The food was exceptional, the drinks were so uniquely crafted, fun, and delicious!!! The staff members and owner, Ben were delightful ❤ Can’t wait to return!

Update!
I did return for Brunch and it was amazing! Highly recommend the tres leches pancakes and sunset mimosas! We also had tres leches French toast and cinnamon waffles. Everything was delicious, the eggs were cooked to perfection and as always Dario was delightful, super welcoming and accommodating. I wanted to take it easy with the drinks and he quickly made me a beautiful “mocktail” that looked just as amazing as my dates cocktails ❤

My mom & I’s favorite spot for lunch or dinner. The staff is very friendly, attentive, and efficient. The food is consistently great, as well as their cocktails/wine. Everything about this place is a 10/10. They make you feel welcome and important from start to finish.

Always a good experience here. Drinks, food, dessert, service, atmosphere...all great. My new favorite place to go ❤
