Captain Bills Restaurant & Catering

Visited a Sunday afternoon and restaurant was not too busy. Restaurant is by the water and would be great to sit outside on a summer day however its cold now so had to sit inside. . All employees interacted with were nice. Food came out nice and hot. MY group loved the lobster bisque and the shrimp and crab wanton. For entree we had a fish that was on the special menu and the lobster and shrimp linguini. Both werw good. My daughter and niece enjoyed the bread and their meals of chicken tenders and burger. I will return whenever in the area again.

Captain Bills made our dream night come true. We had our wedding reception at the Bayview House on 8/18/2023. The venue is beautiful and is located in the perfect spot along the water.

The service from the staff was amazing and it made the night go smoothly. Our guests loved the food and drink selection. It was an amazing night.

Overlooking the water, it is a beautiful restaurant and has many great seafood dishes. This is where we were supposed to have our wedding reception, but thanks a lot COVID-19... I love the everything bagel breadsticks they serve before dinner. To me they are better than the commercial seafood restaurants biscuits. Food is always excellent. Depending on when you go, you may be the only people in the restaurant or it may be packed. Make sure you call for reservations.

Nice resturant, calamari was very good. The clam chowder also great. Nice views of the marina. Blacked grouper was great too. Didn't have anything bad here.

From the view, to the staff, to the delicious sea food dishes, to the drinks (that made me do a double take look into my glass from the taste and strength) this restaurant is top tier.
Great for a date night, birthday, or just a casual night out away from the crowd. I would recommend not once but twice over. I'll definitely be back to try out the rest of the menu. Good job Captain Bill.

We got married at the Bayview House on 10/8/23, and it was an absolutely beautiful event! Annie, our Maitre'D, made sure that the entire evening ran smoothly. She was a pleasure to work with! ♥ I got up to get my own food at one point, and she was quick to sit me back down and bring my husband and I everything that we wanted from the buffet! The food at Captain Bill's is excellent, and they worked with us to ensure that we had both vegan & gluten-free options for our guests with dietary restrictions.

The Bayview House is so, so beautiful -- even more so in person! We did many of our own decorations, and genuinely had fun planning out decorations for the ballroom -- especially the fireplace!

While Long Island weddings are undeniably expensive, we were able to work with Captain Bill's to ensure that we stayed within our tight budget, while still hitting on all of the major things that we felt were essential to our wedding day.

I would highly recommend the Bayview House to anyone looking for a beautiful, reasonably priced wedding venue with fantastic food!

Had a Saturday afternoon reservation for party of 12 after a graduation, staff was great at accommodating and was ready for us. Food was delicious, service was awesome as were the waterviews. If u have room for desserts get one, they won't disappoint!

Portions were small, and the value was okay for the price. You pay more for the ambiance and the fine dining experience. But the seafood wasn't bad, and we enjoyed a good time as a group since it had a nice setting. For this reason (the view and fine dining experience), we would return. Not necessarily for the food, there are better places we know. The staff and hosts were great.

A favorite dining experience for me! The food is AMAZING! Nice size portions. The special for Octoberfest was $37-$38 pp You received soup or salad, entree and desert. I opted for my usual swordfish and it never disappoints.I got a side of potato pancakes to die for. Leftovers were great the next day.

Outstanding drinks, food and service! Loved the Espresso Martini, Oysters, Stuffed Salmon, Lobster Bisque and Linguini with Shrimp & Lobster!

Beautiful place to have any event, even just to sit and eat as a couple. The brunch buffet was phenomenal

Was there 4 a shower over this past wknd (feb17 2024) I want 2 b fair as possible ...I'm from nyc...my hsbnd is from LI and his family is scattered everywhere... I am from the city...different beast... Captain Bill's is a very nice place...mayb because it was a shower....the service was very so-so... I'm use 2 experienced adult workers ..not HS or College kids... clearly need a lot more experience ... I had 2 ask 4 a ginger ale... no 1 came around 2 ask if we wanted any drinks.. again...mayb because it was a shower.. I felt very rushed in eating and in the middle of eating the salad ...plates were being collected....when the entree came....I ordered the chicken marsala ....I was highly offended by the dish.... barely any mushrooms or sauce...chicken was dry 2 the point that when I did the 1st cut...it was crunchy... I felt horrible sending it back...the vegetables were overloaded by butter... again...no 1 came around 2 ask if we wanted tea or coffee...the cake was sloppily served...again...mayb it was because it was a shower....I feel bad that my sister in law and another relative paid 4 this awful service....but again...mayb this is how it is 4 showers and if so....u need 2 train better....I'm use 2 The Plaza...Tavern on the Green...Le Cirrque..Cipriani...Swan Club...Crest Hollow...again...Captain Bill's is very nice...but the service at the shower was lacking.

One of the best places to get married on Long Island or just have a party. Amazing water views. Awesome food. Always friendly to our team. Working with Berlin is always a pleasure. Thank you for all the great times!

I just had my wedding reception there and it was outstanding. The catering staff was accommodating, the servers were just awesome and the food was delicious. If you are looking for a venue to celebrate, this is the place. I can not do Captain Bills by my words, other then say Thank You for a wonderful reception and memories!

Family wedding took place here and it really was exceptional. The food was as good as I've ever had at a wedding and the service was extremely friendly. All the staff were available, all the time, and very pleasant. I was impressed with the entire operation.

Captain Bill's never disappoints! When we want a truly special waterfront dining experience, it is our restaurant of choice!
Our out of town visitors are always impressed! Kudos to the dining room and kitchen staff!

Got there a little bit late but staff was accommodating and very friendly. The pork chop special was delicious 😋

Had a great time at my spouse’s reunion last night. Great food, warm atmosphere, beautiful surroundings. I spent some time in the bar where the bartender (very friendly, great drinks) put the Phillies game on so I could watch some of their embarrassing loss. 10/10 recommend for an event.
