Nickel’s Pit BBQ Corning

I’ve grown up eating (and making) good smoked brisket. I keep my expectations low. That caution is not needed at Nickel’s Pit BBQ. Their standard brisket sandwich comes without sauce, without topping, just meat and bread, as any confident pit master would wish. The second time I went to Nickel’s Pit, I tried one of their topped brisket sandwiches, and found the flavor surprisingly well balanced - they took a good thing and found another way to make a comparably good thing, without compromising the flavor of the brisket. I’ve now been three times and I look forward to my next visit to Corning.

Absolutely the best BBQ I’ve ever eaten. They smoke the meats there and the food was tasty, unique and Very filling. Pictured are the GGG and The Butchie. They also had a wide selection of cocktails and beer. They don’t have large tables but can slide tables together. Stopped in on a Monday for lunch and got very lucky with our choice!

Nickel's BBQ is one of the best barbecue places we've been. Just really really great smoked meats, amazing BBQ sauces, and some really cool sides. They just do it really well and have great service. The place is small but could fit more people than it does. They do also have a nice beer list and a lot of good whiskeys.

We love this establishment! The employees are amazing there. We also hosted a baby shower with a headcount of 90 people, and they knocked it out of the park. The food was still the best quality, and everyone raved about it. Consider them for your next large event and not just a date night out.

My husband and I were visiting family over the Christmas break and wanted to try a good,, local place. We sat at the bar with Abby and had an amazing experience! She was so helpful with suggestions (food and drinks) and was so friendly! The food arrived quick and the portions were more than enough! I highly recommend their brisket, collards and fried onions with the garlic aeoli sauce. If you need a good drink suggestion, the house sour is really good. Thank you to Abby and the rest of the staff at Nickel’s for a great experience!
We plan to stop back in the next time we’re in town.

We had the Carolina BBQ sandwich and Tacos for Taco Wednesday. They did not disappoint. The pulled pork was nice and juicy as well as very tasty. Hubby really enjoyed his 3 different tacos.

Absolutely wonderful food! I had the Brisket Nachos and they were delicious. The brisket melted in your mouth and the BBQ sauce mixed with the cheese perfectly. I definitely need to go back.

I loved it! My son and daughter took me there for my birthday, and the service was wonderful and the food was exceptionally delicious. Can't wait to go again!

Had a great dinner here the other night. Would happily come back. Definitely will need a date night here to try their amazing whiskey wall!

Neat little spot to hang with family or friends. Glad we found it, would certainly recommend if in the area and looking for some great homemade BBQ. Good job to all the staff! We'll be back for sure.

We went here for dinner this past weekend while visiting Corning. From the waiter to the food, drink selection, and atmosphere, everything was awesome. We had the fried pickels for an appetizer, and they were delicious. Our son had the nachos (only meat and cheese, as he is picky), and these were very good. The pulled pork was cooked perfect for me!

Kyle was amazing! Don't let him go. He really seemed to love what he does and he was so patient and funny. He made the night.

If you're in the area and looking for some good food. I would recommend this place!

Some of the most amazing bbq I've ever had, which is a lot since I'm from the south. The Brisket was so tender it basically melted in your mouth. It was hard to choose a menu item because they all were so good. The loaded tots had an amazing sauce and the bacon tasted like it was just from the pig. They had around 50 different bourbons to choose from and a great atmosphere. Our waiter was very attentive and constantly checked in on us, made sure it was ok before he grabbed our plates/refilled drinks, he was also very friendly. All of the sauces were amazing as well. The food did not take long at all and is very worth it, id drive back to New York just for this restraunt

A meal that melts in your mouth! Really can’t say enough about how wonderful the brisket is here. We got the 3B brisket, bacon, and blue cheese. A nice taste that was amplified with their in-house sauces. Coleslaw was tasty and the French fries were slightly crispy. Get a draft beer, get a whiskey or mixed drink, but go there for the food.

This restaurant is so good, the menu has great choices for food, beer and hard liquor. It was taco Wednesday and I had two chicken and one beef brisket tacos. It was so so good, my friends had the beef brisket with chicken super tasty. The bartender (sorry I don't remember your name) thanks for the wonderful service and welcoming us Canadians and getting to see our Blue Jays play on your TV . I will certainly cross the border just to eat at this restaurant again.

I didn't fully buy all of the high reviews. I thought "How good can a BBQ in New York state be?" Really good. Plenty of fried foods with good sauces. Meat melted in my mouth.

Spent around $80 after gratuity for a huge appetizer, 2 entrees, and drinks.

My only complaint would be that they could honestly use a bigger place to keep some of the seating away from the door which is a bit chilly.

I had the XXX hot and hot smoked wings to start and the salad with pulled pork for the main course. Both were very tasty and nice portion sizes. The bartender was very attentive and the service in general seemed to be good. Very glad I checked this place out, I would be back!

Excellent service and food. Great entree selections. Portions are good and great atmosphere.

I can only speak about the wings and they were awesome. I got Bourbon Hot wings and they were full of flavor and spicy! I asked for ranch but they came out with Blue cheese dip which was creamy and had just a subtle blue cheese flavor which I liked. The menu looks full of other tasty options so I will be going here again!
