Briarfield Cafe

Great and very fast service. The giant cinnamon roll is amazing. Everything is homemade. Sam the manager was awesome made sure we were all happy. Sausage gravy made from scratch as well. Great place to get something to eat on your way to work.

Visiting Toledo from Virginia (DC area) and followed the positive reviews to Briarfield Cafe. From the outside looked like many other joints - strip mall, clean. Entering was a great surprise - a crowd (always an excellent sign) and a wonderful mural of Paris - having been there I never expected a Paris Cafe in Toledo. The food lived up to the owners' goals - excellent. Special shout out to Paula our server. David (owner) please take notice and reward her. At the check out was the obituary of the wife half of the Cafe (sympathies) from three years ago. Glad to see it still going strong (and remembering their roots. Highly recommended. A non-chain jewel in an unexpected setting. GO!

PS only suggestion is that staff be informed of location of mural setting.

Fish fry Fridays is the best fish in Toledo at Briarfield Cafe. Bread pudding rocks too.

First time here and was pleasantly surprised by the great good and friendly staff. Good menu selections.

Not too often do I post reviews just never been my thing but, when I tell you this place is a must visit take my word for it. Yes they can be busy at times and you may have to wait 10 minutes for a table but it is absolutely worth it! There’s a gas station right across the street go fill up your tank while you wait come back and enjoy a nice hearty breakfast/lunch meal! Now let’s talk about the food it’s 100% authentic no corners cut or additives to be found. Just as if you were to cook in your own kitchen. The staff is exceptional and very attentive keeping your cup of joe filled to brim whenever they walk by. All around this place is a complete 💎 stop by and find out for yourself?

A great place to stop and eat. It was a bit busy when we arrived. The staff were taking names in order of arrival and clearing/cleaning tables asap. The food was delicious. I would definitely stop again when in area.

I had Eggs Benedict and my husband had a Reuben. My meal was great and he said his was as well; best Reuben he's had in a long time!

Great place for quality food items at very respectable prices!! Simple “old school “ diner atmosphere, very nice servers!! Very simple but excellent menu /. Choices! We always come back just before dinner hour especially on Friday with “ all you can eat fish etc. “( great morning/ lunch items)

The staff always goes above and beyond and I always see them with a smile on thier face. They work hard and it shows. Its always clean and the food is always good. I couldn't have had a better experience. Thank you so much for your kind minds when I was having a bad day. I needed your kindness more then ever that day and I will never lose the gratitude you have showed me.

Had a wonderful time with my CCHS class of "73" alumni friends courtesy of the proprietor and fellow classmate, Dave Katafias. And the breakfast fare was delicious. I had the sausage gravy and biscuits, two eggs over easy,(perfectly cooked), and home fries. 👍😋

GREAT FOOD and service. Clientele is more towards the older crowd. Mom and Pop diner feel.

The food is delicious (you need to try the cinnamon bun atleast once) and the service is top knotch. As for the atmosphere, I'd describe the Cafe as quaint and welcoming. 5/5 would recommend.

It was very busy and had to wait a little but it was worth the wait. The food was fresh hot and amazing. The price was also very affordable and the staff was personable and efficient even though they were extremely busy.

Waitress was very smart. Nice lady.
