The staff is incredibly sweet and welcoming to everyone. The outdoor seating is comfortable and has a nice mix of shade and sunny spots throughout the time I was there. The coffees are delicious and all of the food looks incredible. I am grateful that the patio is dog friendly. It's really cool that the have a pay-it-forward program as well.

Great people, great food and great vibes.

Everything about this place was amazing. Staff were so great and chatty, the vibes were on point, and it is clearly a safe space for me, and my friends, and my partner. They had delicious VGF options on the menu, and great books, too. And the restrooms had the best signage 💕

My favorite place in town to study, work, or just have a coffee with a friend. The drinks and food are yummy (I especially love their bagel sandwiches and breakfast burritos), but the ambiance is the real reason to go here. It's a bit of personal preference, but the temperature has always been comfortable, I love the smell of the books, and there are lots of spaces to work or relax.

Easily the best drip coffee in Laramie, they serve H&S beans. Great environment for working and fun bookstore

I often forget Night Heron because I am not a coffee drinker, so when we go, it is for their breakfast burritos, which I would argue are the best ones in town that are handheld rather than smothered in a green chili. Add a world-class pastry and you're probably overstuffed until dinner.

Today I went for lunch for the first time and Night Heron has suddenly launched to the top of my lunch list after the best soup and salad of my life. Don't sleep on this gem like I'd been.

The small bookstore atmosphere alone is worth a visit if you are new to Laramie. Oh, and I hear the coffee is great too.

Night Heron NEVER disappoints, I did just have the bison Ruben and oh. my. god. SO GOOD, it’s really lite despite being a hearty sandwich. It was packed with flavor & the bison was such a game changer. I work next door and was making ice cream & the sweet employee ran it over to me knowing I was on the clock, so sweet, so good!

Two things that can always make me happy are tea and books! I enjoyed browsing the books while drinking my tea. The staff was very friendly. This is definitely an excellent place to rest and relax either before or after a day of shopping or hiking!

I've been there twice in the two days that I've spent in Laramie. That's to say how much I loved this place! The mix of a second hand bookstore with a café is lovely. Different kind of people visit, either to read a book or work, or both!

Had the veggie, potato and egg burrito topped with sour cream and DELICIOUS salsa and it was yummy yummy. Didn't take a picture before eating it haha.

Oh and the tea selection is amazing (I can't comment on coffee because I don't drink any.)

I have yet to be disappointed by this wonderful place. Comfortable cafe, cozy atmosphere, delicious (and affordable) eats, and a variety of beverages. Today's soy latte was just the right amount of foam. Great place to sit and eat breakfast while watching the day go by from an upstairs window, or have a chat with a friend, or study and write while sipping an infused apple cider, or check out the variety of books that line the shelves on the walls... Night Heron is a gem.

Stopped in for coffee and a cheese crossiant to go. Crossiant was served warm, really tasty. Cute little spot.

Great food, great drinks, and awesome atmosphere. The quiche is always fantastic. It can get kind of cramped, but it attracts a bookstore/coffeehouse crowd, so volume doesn't really get to be a problem.

I was visiting Laramie from out of state and Night Heron came highly recommended. I'm glad I went! I didn't stay long, so I didn't have time to try the food itself, but I did have a pastry that I enjoyed alongside a matcha. Great and friendly service and I appreciated being surrounded by books. I could see this being a nice space to stay a few hours in!

Visited here for lunch on 4 October 2018 following the recommendation of an archivist at the American Heritage Center. If you're a book lover, as soon as you walk in, you feel welcomed by the floor-to-ceiling bookshelves that cover the two side walls. Recent used hardcovers and paperbacks are available along with vintage books, all organized by subject.
I ordered a shot-in-the-dark to drink and a breakfast burrito to eat. During the brief wait while my food was cooked, I browsed the bookshelves and spotted a good variety of titles. When my food came, it was cooked perfectly and the quiet atmosphere was relaxing for lunch. After eating, I went upstairs to browse the books located there. In the end, I got two used books. A 1911 hardcover about Buffalo Bill as a gift for my father and a 1953 hardcover of Arthur C. Clarke's "Childhood's End" for myself, both in excellent condition. I'll definitely visit here again!
