You will also find owner, Frank Jeffreys to be straightforward, friendly and accommodating. He genuinely seems to appreciate that people value their time and hard earned money and he has every reason to take pride in his dealership. This was my first purchase from him. I went there only because he had the car I wanted at the best price and best condition for my budget. I didn't bother reading any reviews because I knew I would not find a better deal after three weeks of searching. I never write reviews unless I have a negative experience. After I got home, thrilled about my new car and the overall great experience of the whole transaction, I knew I had to take the time to give a well deserved review. In doing so, I wasn't a bit surprised to find that I was not alone in my opinions of Mr. Jeffreys and his dealership. He truly deserves all those great reviews and you'll want to leave one as well if you have the pleasure of doing business with him!

First let me say, great experience! I have bought two vehicles from Mike and Frank. The first one I have had for just about 7 years and the vehicle has held up like no other (Chevrolet 1500 pickup) mechanically and physically! Next, I bought a Honda Civic for a daily driver. I have had it not for about three 3 years. Extremely nice condition, very clean for an older model civic. It runs great! I DEFINITELY recommend Mechanicsville Auto Sales.

I've purchased three vehicles over that past several years from here. I get bored with vehicles fairly quick and usually get a something new every year and a half. I've traded in all my vehicles and repurchased something every time with good deals. Really easy to deal with and one of my vehicles I had Mike find for me. Couldn't get exactly what I wanted but he came really close and I was really happy with the effort. Will definitely buy from this place in the future.

It is my suspicion that Old Dominion Auto Sales and Mechanicsville Auto Sales, if not the same company operating under a different DBA, are at least run by the same individuals--and I hope that I am right. I had an excellent experience working with these guys a few years back and looking at their cars/ website, it looks to be the same great quality as I experienced then.

Used car dealers get a bad reputation and its the customer's responsibility to be clear, upfront and honest with the dealer when it comes to arranging delivery (including holding the car for the day, or in my case, allowing me to drive and buy the car before it had gone through their detailing process at my request), financing and choosing options. Used car dealers buy most of their cars from other big-box dealerships for a variety of reasons. It is the customer's responsibility to assess whether, or not, the vehicle is in good enough shape to justify the often deeply discounted prices in which they are offered. The dealer has no idea, in most cases, how the car was treated beforehand and therefore, offers a warranty to cover expensive failures such as transmissions, etc.

In my case, we bought a Civic Coupe MT and the car wasn't perfect--I knew it and the dealer knew it (granted, it hadn't gone through detail and he credited us the cost of doing such service), but I knew I could fix the cosmetic issues I saw in the car. The dealer offered a very competitive price on the exact car we were looking for, I got it RE-state inspected, checked over during that visit and took it home. I fixed the cosmetic issues myself and had the car professionally detailed. The car ran perfectly until it was totaled two years later because I ensured that it had been serviced by its previous owner (see Carfax) and maintained it according to the User's Manual after the sale.

I hope these guys are the same ones I bought the Civic from, and if they are, would highly recommend them as business professionals and would do business with them again.

I have purchased several vehicles there. People always panic when a car hits first timing belt service at 100k. It is a fairly cheap service and if you have water pump and oil seals done at the same time you are good for another 100k easy. Have 2 350k civics in family "fleet" now that came from Dominion. Find a mechanic you trust, and a dealer your comfortable with, and know what you are buying, and you should not have any issues. Very happy with newest purchase, Mike had to hunt for it, but exactly what i wanted and I know with the right maint I will have it a long time.

I recommend this business to purchase a vehicle. They are very trustworthy. The vehicle I purchased from them did not work out within a couple of days and they were so professional in the handling of the situation I would definitely go back to them if they had another vehicle that was equal to the vehicle I purchased from them originally.

I have known these guys for several years. Always straight forward and honest, (I know, hard to believe a car salesman.) but these are the good guys. They offer quality cars at reasonable prices. Thanx for my first purchase.

My reveiw comes us super late, I have had my car from here for almost 4 months. Car had a simple problem wen I first got it, however i was sent right across the street and it was fixed on the spot and paid for. Yes thats right right then. I couldnt belive it. I love my car, and if I ever decide to get a new car, well we all know were i will be going!!!!!!!!

Best dealership I’ve been too. I got a 2012 Kia Rio with 57000mi for $7200 which is on the lower end of the kbb value. My salesmen was Frank who was very friendly and even let me use the car to drive to VACU so that I could get the check to pay for the car. Even better, there was only $157 in fees on top of the asking price. This is much better than most place who charge )1000+ in fees. Will likely look there first for all my future cars.
