Randomly stopped for a quick breakfast, and was extremely impressed. By far the best bacon egg and cheese muffin I ever had. The restaurant is small but very clean with a great dinner style atmosphere. Waitress was also fantastic. Very please and will be going back very soon. Highly recommended.

Very very good breakfast food! When we showed up there were a few other customers but had no problems being taken care of (we were a party of 5 adults). Friendly staff, clean establishment, all around good experience.

This is a great little find! They have a cozy atmosphere, fast and friendly service, plus great food at a great value! I had the eggs benedict plate, and I thought it was delicious - definitely something I would recommend. Plus the coffee was good too. Overall, a great place to eat alone, with a friend, or with your family. I'm really happy that we found this place, and I look forward to eating here again!

Great quality! Great portions! Great food! Everything is fresh, homemade, and well-prepared. The eggs are R E A L and cooked perfectly - no brown on them whatsoever. (I'm super, super picky about my eggs. Honestly, I don't order them out because I'm so picky.)

The home fries are browned, seasoned well, consistent, crispy, and cooked through. Something seemingly simple isn't. However, these are another example of good food, prepared well.

Place was slammed.... But we still got great, courteous service and the food was spot on.

So glad to see a small business doing so well! Keep it up!

We'll be back for sure.

Chef Matt. Chef man those grits were so good. The sausage egg and cheese sandwich so good. The pancake so good. Those grits though. DID I MENTION THE GRITS. Guys and girls if your reading this you cant not not eat here. The eggs are good. Everything I ate was. But you have to have the grits with some toast. Get back. Those photos should say enough. That pancake there, it was made to go but the wheels fell of in the parking lot so I ate it right there with the complementary bowl of grits. It's good go get some eggs and grits.

Great food with good size portions. The place was clean and set up safely. I did get takeout but there is indoor and outdoor seating. The tables are distanced. There was a table for hand sanitizer near the register. Everyone working there had masks on. The lady who took my order was very pleasant and professional.

Crispy tasty corned beef hash, satisfying eggs and flavorful grits. Reasonably priced. Service, despite busy, were interested in keeping attentive and satisfied. Reportedly good tasting sausage and French Toast, and it all looked good, too. Unlike diners, not too greasy, either. Will return, add this to my travel stop locations to revisit. Recommended.

Stopped on the way to Norfolk from Baltimore. Great place for Breakfast!!! The western omelet was full of fresh ingredients and delicious. The hash browns were crisp and tasty. The service was fantastic and friendly. The clientele was all locals except us and very friendly. It will be on my list from now on for any trip I make south of Baltimore, since the only sensible way to get through Washington D.C. is at 5:00 in the morning. When I get here, I'm ready for a great breakfast!!!

We had the best service. We came in at 130 didn't know it closed at 2pm. They still were amazingly sweet to us. The food is amazing. We got the hangover clubs with fries. We ended up getting two more to go. I also got another side of fries. They are amazingly delicious!!! I love this place, I definitely suggest it if you're around 5he way. I'm coming back hands down!!! Thanks for the amazingly awesome service and food!!!

What a great stop this morning. First of all, Tommy seriously made us feel like we were family coming over for a great meal.
We decided on a Western omelet with super fresh sliced tomatoes also their special, country Eggs Benedict. (Traditional with fresh tomatoes and bacon added) oh my goodness, so good, lots of great flavor. Well be back

I really enjoy the atmosphere and the friendly staff. The food was great. I had the chicken and waffle . Today my coworker and I will be trying the brisket. The owner is onsite with a great attitude and no matter how busy the chef , he answers your questions w a smile. The waitress, not only is she a sweetheart but she is attentive and completes this great experience.

Thank You

My husband and I were looking for a great breakfast place in Ashland, VA, and discovered The Broken Egg Diner. What a great find! The waitress was very friendly, the food was plentiful and good, and the service was fast. We both had 2 scrambled eggs with cheddar cheese, a sausage patty, and two strips of crispy bacon. I had grits and toast (and the grits were cooked and seasoned perfectly--that is so rare!); and he had country-fried potatoes and a biscuit. We would not hesitate to eat there again!

We found the Broken Egg Diner as a place to eat when we out in Ashland just looking around. This place was one of the best places I have ever eaten and the service was awesome! It is not a large place in space but it is large on personality and customer service! The food was excellent and the portions were large! I had the eggs, bacon, home fries, and the pancakes and the foos was excellent and cooked just the way I wanted. My husband had a biscuit that looked so fluffy I wanted to take it from him lol! I highly recommend this restaurant and we will be back! Tracey and Tim Grinstead!

Breakfast was really good. Had the crab Benedict with homefries and grits. Everything was delicious. The atmosphere is quite small knit area. Service was the best for a diner experience.

I’ve had their biscuits and gravy 5 or 6 times and I’ll probably have it 50-60 more times. Delicious. I like my scrapple crispy and they have never failed to make it exactly how I ask. This is definitely a hidden gem in the Ashland/Richmond area.

This is the place to have comfy breakfast food in a cozy climate. Although it is in a strip mall, the place feels like a through back to the good ole diners. The owner is the cook. Food is amazing. And the staff are friendly, fun, and engaging. If you are in Town, check it out. Great place!
