Cracker Barrel Old Country Store

Cracker barrel has become a safe net when travelling. Food, ambience and service has always been great. This one was no exception. Grilled cat fish was seasoned perfectly.

Best Cracker Barrel we have ever been to. Service was excellent & quick. The food came out quickly & were well made. Seems everyone on the staff was hustling & working hard to give great service. Colin was our server.

Their specialty coffee was delicious, we were quickly seated and the breakfast was great! Even the pancakes were packed with flavor

Great execution of family dining. Prices can range from 10-15 for most entrees. Since booze is limited most people get out for less than $20 per person. Decent country recipes. I enjoyed the fried turkey on the seasonal menu. Great for families although vegetarian choices are limited mostly to all day breakfast. Amazing attentive service.

We went for Sunday Brunch, the place was pretty full, but we got our table pretty quick.
The service was good and the food was delicious.

I absolutely love Cracker Barrel. I go to almost each one as I travel. This one did not disappoint. The food was delicious, the staff was friendly and accommodating, and I was extremely pleased with gift shop. They have something for everyone. I highly recommend them.

The food came out fast and hot. We had a great breakfast here. I found some options on this menu that’s not on the menu of the Cracker Barrel we usually frequent in my home town so that was refreshing.

They offered a Bacon ‘N’ Egg Casserole hash brown with bacon onion cheese diced tomato and green onions mixed in - my first time seeing it on the menu.

I had the meat biscuits with a side of hash brown casserole - keeping it light because I was driving and didn’t want to get drowsy.
My party had hash brown casserole with apples, Pancakes, country ham, biscuits, eggs and pancakes.

Grandma's breakfast was good. Bacon was a little fatty and could not eat it all. Our waiter was terrific and very attentive.

Love the store. Creates a lovely atmosphere, especially with Christmas items 🎄.

This is a wonderful store, restaurant experience. The food is excellent. The service is amazing. And the people are wonderful. I love that this is just next to the interstate. If you are looking for a nice sit-down restaurant that also has some good shopping ideas, clean restrooms and a break from driving, stop at Ashland VA and check out this cool place.

I would give more stars if possible, this place never disappoints. The food is always great, I tried the new cheesecake pancakes with strawberry syrup and it was divine. The watermelon lemonade was awesome. I want to try the whole menu, everything looks delicious. The servers are always sweet, friendly and attentive. The only negative things is that they are not in San Francisco..

I love Cracker Barrel. Everything is "excellent" except the 'music'. I do think you should consider your audience and not always play country music. But with that being said, perfection!

My mother, daughter, and I often meet at the Ashland, VA location as it is the halfway point between both our towns; we always meet for dinner service. For a while we were all very disappointed in the level of customer service, quality of food, and cleanliness of the bathroom, yet we continued to choose this establishment for the convenience, the shopping were able to do at the on-site country store, and for the sincere hope that positive changes were coming. Tonight, Saturday, January 13, 2024, at approximately 5pm, my mother, daughter, adopted son, and I met yet again. We sat in the middle dining area, next to the windows, with a warm and inviting view of the fireplace. Our server was a pleasant young man with great customer service skills and a great attitude, as was the young man who seated us. So far, so good. We went to the restroom and it was stocked and clean, 2-0 so far! Our food arrived plated nicely and DELICIOUS...HOMERUN! Yea, our favorite Cracker Barrell location is back on our good side! I'm 43-years old and have been dining at Cracker Barrell my entire life; I pride myself on my loyalty and didn't want to stop a tradition. We made some lovely purchases on our way out, as usual. 😊 Thank you for making those slight improvements which made a HUGE difference! And to think, I almost talked mom out of going there today! We will be back weekly as we were doing so before...I hope the positive changes and staff attitudes remain on the up and up.

This was my first visit to the crackle barrel and the food was great but I more impressed by all the cool items and things that they had in the store😳😳🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰!! It was coolest Crackle Barrel store that I have seen so far🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰!! The staff was very friendly, had big smiles and our waitress Perri was ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS 🤗🤗🤗🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰!!! I definitely do recommend this location to others!!🥰🥰🥰🤣🤣🤣🤩🤩🤩

We weren't able to be with extended family at the last minute for Thanksgiving, and were pleasantly surprised by Cracker Barrel being opening Thanksgiving Day and providing traditional Thanksgiving dinner as well as their other dishes. Very nice.

Breakfast was perfect , waitress was wonderful and so sweet . so glad my family and i chose to come here Sunday

I've been eating at Cracker Barrel for decades and if you have too you know what to expect. I'm really rating this place 5 stars more on the service than the food. I've had horrible service at some locations but the 2 waitresses we had today for lunch were wonderful. I always leave CB stuffed. Today was country fried steak (good) mashed potatoes (not so good) fried okra(good) fried apples (good) biscuits and corn muffins with blackberry jam (great). I love CB pancakes, in fact their breakfast menu is probably their best food. The problem with their other menu items is lately it doesn't seem beyond just OK. Maybe my tastes have changed, but I go to CB less and less. Still if you love their food, this is a safe location and their wait staff is excellent.

The young lady that took my order was polite . When I went in to pickup everyone was friendly. The food was delicious! That’s way I keep coming back to the Ashland location.

Cracker and Barrel has always been a good stop for either breakfast or lunch. It may sometimes be challenging to have a table but it’s worth the waiting time if needed. It’s the typical American cuisine and nothing else. I have been to quite a few of their places and I’d say that their breakfast is my favorite.
