The Multihull Source

Worked with Ira to buy a used Corsair 31. He was a tough negotiator, which is a positive for the seller but he was fair and presented the boat as it was. He suggested a surveyor who was excellent. He even went above and beyond to make sure that the trailer was ready to make my long trip back home. Positive experience.

It has been almost 1 year now since I've got in touch with Multihull Source. I really recommend them for their knowledge, honesty and positive attitude.
But, there is more to the story. I purchased a trimaran through them in December, just before covid19 hit the word. There was a problem on papers , one digit on the trailer VIN, which of course stopped me from being able to register it. Multihull Source, as a broker, got in touch with previous owner, and sorted out. It took 7 months because of covid but they follow through, even so the deal was done long time ago. Thank you.

I bought my used F-27 through T.M.S in '98. Had them repaint the hull almost yearly up until 2019. Occasionally, I had them do minor repairs on boat and trailer. Frequently, those repairs came with some kind of aggravation: incomplete work, poor communication, not done when offered, not solving problems they agreed to fix etc. I put up with it and kept going to them as they were the only Corsair dealer within many hundreds of miles. In 2019, my F27 suffered substantial damage in a windstorm. Mast destroyed, hull and trailer damaged. I went to TMS again for repairs as they said they were capable of fixing the damage but, they did a very poor job. They damaged the new mast uncrating it (tore cleat off mast), tried to hide it from me with an unsafe "repair", there were problems with the ordering and the mounting of the mast to the deck. They installed halyards on the wrong side, luff feed installed incorrectly, tried to charge me for a halyard they didn't install, they delivered nonfunctioning lights on the new mast, left the trailer bunks partially attached or unsecured. Did an incomplete inspection of the damaged hull and missed cracks that were left unrepaired. This "completed work" was delivered 2 and 1/2 months late, after numerous assurances it would be done much sooner (10 months after they received the boat for repair). I confronted them about these problems, but they offered no solutions or any attempt to make me satisfied, and then ghosted me. It took me over a year and considerable effort and expense to complete and correct all their errors and omissions. They claim to be a full-service yacht-yard but I question that. To me, they seem indifferent to any schedule but their own. Their conduct in boat repairs seems disorganized, dishonest, lazy, incompetent, and arrogant. I learned my lesson. After going to them for 20 years I will never do business with them again

Do not do business with these characters! After a ten year ordeal of terrible service and broken promises they chose to fight my lawsuit and they lost! Don't put yourself in that position! Help spread the word that these folks are very bad news.
