Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Richmond Ashland

The place is brand new as of this review. I don't even feel like anyone had ever stayed in the room before. I only stopped for a nap on a long road trip but didn't want to leave! Breakfast was great too!

Stopped in the middle of the night with my two girls. Price was very reasonable, especially last minute. Rooms were clean. Bathrooms appear recently updated. Breakfast is provided at no extra charge in the morning. There is a 24/7 store with basic toiletries, snacks, drinks, and alcoholic beverage. The team there was very friendly. There is a pool and nice outdoor seating spaces.

Tired from a long road trip, we stopped here... The person at check in noticed that I was having a hard time with the app... I am so grateful for such wonderful and welcoming customer service that I asked her name, and it is Ashley Armstrong who provided such a 5 star experience. When I took a moment to notice, the hotel was beautiful, great lobby... the room was excellent for a family. Grattitude.

During our Mass Hire event, my stay was amazing. Comfortable climate, staff and the staffs doubled efforts to keep the whole facility clean and neat, at all times. Most appreciative to the all members of staff that we interacted with.

Newly built or renovated. Great place to stop along 95 for a night. Hotel was very clean and in a nice area.

This hotel is simply excellent and there's not one bad thing to say. The location is perfect. We did a quick overnight stop on our way to PA and chose this hotel on the fact they are dog friendly. Just like us there were many dog owners but let me assure you this is one of the cleanest and best smelling hotels and you will not smell any pets. Check-in was a breeze and staff were very friendly. Our room was perfect. Beds and linens were comfortable and everything was spotless. We didn't get a chance to use the indoor pool but it looked very nice. In the lobby you can purchase snacks, drinks, beer & wine. Breakfast the next morning was Canadian bacon, turkey sausage, eggs, waffles, fruit, etc. It was served to you by an employee and that went smooth. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.

Really great hotel. Clean, updated, well maintained. Overall great stay, staff is phenomenal, welcoming and helpful. The one down thing I'd say is the beds. Beds are the worst mattress we've ever experienced. You know thoes super cheap, painful mattresses, that's way too firm, lumpy and springy? That's what they have . I feel bad that the owner chose to cut cost by getting cheap beds, because overall it was a great stay with an amazing staff, but that bed ... even the kids were uncomfortable and didn't sleep well. But it's clean and has great people. We ended up up putting the pillows under our backs which helped

This hotel is very clean. Our room was comfortable and functional with all of the amenities you would expect. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. There are many restaurants within walking distance which was convenient. The hotel provided several breakfast options, both hot and cold, to choose from so it was easy to eat and get back on the road quickly in the morning. We would definitely stay here again.

Was a perfect stay for our King’s Dominion visit. Great breakfast with hot food. Great coffee as early as 5AM, an evening bar with wine and beer, and a heated indoor pool. The suite we had was so spacious too. Thank you Parker!

This is the second time that we've stayed at this location. We need a pet friendly hotel on our way to Florida. We were greeted by John at the front desk as well as another person (may have been the manager) very warmly. Such a nice welcome! John was very attentive and they both went out of their way to accommodate us. The room was clean and ready for us even though we were an early arrival. In the morning, we took advantage of our hot breakfast that was provided and Norma (I believe that was her name) is an excellent cook! The scrambled eggs were excellent as well as the sausage. We saw John again and he again went out of his way to make sure that we had everything we needed. Definitely a good stop on our way from NY to FL. Thanks again, John!! Thanks again, Norma!!

Clean, spacious rooms... With excellent air conditioning. Friendly, helpful staff even when we check in late at night.

It was the tail end of COVID and some of the restrictions had not yet been lifted. Like you need to go to the front desk to be let into the fitness center.

Rooms get a "seal", to tell you they have been cleaned. Breakfast had a few choices the boy liked. But Bojangles is right across the parking lot.

Glad we stayed here and took the couple minute drive to Kings Dominion.

This hotel is my go to. They are always nice and it’s very quiet. The staff is always friendly and welcoming.

We arrived tired from a full day of driving and were welcomed by Patrice who was efficient and friendly. She took the time to explain all the hotel had to offer and where to find everything. Breakfast was plentiful, checkout was fast. Upon arriving home I realized I left something in the room. A quick call to Morgan at the desk was followed quickly by a call from Brittany in Housekeeping and within a couple of minutes arrangements were completed to return my belonging. Kudos to your great staff!! Best in customer service - start to finish.

We are traveling to a family wedding weekend and made our reservations while driving around Richmond later in the evening. I spoke to Marie from the front desk and she was so personable and accepting of my trying to do this in the dark. She assured me several times that everything was good. We got a great rate and she even remembered me when we checked in.

Our room was clean, the bed comfortable and our continental breakfast delicious. Everyone we encountered was very friendly and kind! The staff and all is 5*

Very clean room. staff experienced friendly helpful . We were very late checking in and it wasnt a problem at all which was a very pleasant suprise 😊 Boys enjoyed the pool which was very clean and right temp. Overall it was a great experience so happy we chose your hotel. Will definitely chose you again and will highly recommend you to others

It was a great time everything was clean and safe looking. The kids were able to swim for an hour witch they truly enjoyed. The next morning breakfast was fantastic. You could not have asked for a better mini vacation

Stopped here on the way from Baltimore to Fayetteville the day after Christmas. 95 was horrible, 6 hours from B'more to Richmond! I was exhausted, pulled into this Marriot to save my sanity.
Check in took 5 mins and I was in a beautiful, comfortable room. Free Netflix, Showtime, internet. Top rate amenities. I was so relieved. Great job Marriot!

We stayed overnight at Fairfield Inn & Suites due to its convenient proximity to the State Fair of Virginia. The hotel was very clean and modern, with a pleasing atmosphere. The pool was smallish, but had these four nifty fountains that continuously shoot streams of warm water arcing into the pool. The breakfast included with our stay was delicious, with several options on a small buffet. Bed mattress was firm, and mostly comfy. Would stay again!

My experience was very pleasant. My family and I had a "staycation" for the new year and we were more than pleased. The hotel was well maintained and clean, the staff was awesome, and breakfast was nice. We had a minor issue with one of our beds and we were accommodated and taken care of within 20 minutes. I would definitely be visiting this hotel again. The pool was warm and the perfect size for all 3 of my children and my neice whom is 5 years of age.
