Shell Motel Hollywood

My flight got canceled and I was in a pinch for a cheap place to stay that wasn’t going to have me end up in a sketchy location or get me infested with bed bugs. I got a room with my buddy for the cheapest price around town(checking well over 20 different hotels/motels) and this place exceeded all my expectations. The room was very well kept, maybe a little outdated but still met every need I could have imagined. It was a little hot in the room when we got there because the AC was off but it really only took 10-15 minutes to have the room at perfect temperature. The beds look clean and the outlets and water work well. The owner was super fun and friendly and I would recommend this motel to anyone in need of a place to stay!

Shell is a hidden gem. This 1950’s motel has several white glove awards. It’s owned by two friendly French speaking brothers who take pride in the place and enjoy interacting with their customers.
There is 2 buildings. My room was next to the pool. My room had a keyed lock and deadbolt. The beds were comfortable (although a tad hard). I appreciated the mini fridge and microwave that were in the room. There is an European market 1 block away. There isn’t a coffee maker in the room.
Their small pool was heated and nice to lounge in and by.
Prices were similar to other hotels in the area and they provided free parking, which can save you up to $25 a night over other hotels nearby.
The location felt safe. It was on highway 1 so it was easy to get to food, to the beach or other places of interest.
As a solo traveler I felt welcomed and safe.

A nicely maintained older motel, and very clean. My unit was poolside with a queen bed, good size fridge/freezer (larger than most hotels), microwave, a small table with 2 chairs, dresser, bedside table, small bathroom, and it's own air conditioning unit. A phone was available in the room, but I didn't see a charging station. WiFi service was good, plus cable tv had many channels. The pool area is a fantastic place to gather or relax, with plenty of comfortable lounge chairs, a grill, and heated pool. The brothers who own and operate this motel are very friendly and accommodating, as are their cleaning staff. I was helped in with my bags and given tips for food and shopping within walking distance. Great location, which is surrounded by a good variety of restaurants (some within walking distance) and is close to Hollywood Beach. Parking is available along the building, and was a short walk to my room. My only suggestion would be for new pillows. Overall a good experience, good value, and convenient location. I would definitely return.

Great management, we felt very much at home at Shell Motel! Super fun, friendly and familiar management and staff, we got plenty of tips for our stay/excursions in the area. Rooms are very clean and comfy, the pool area and garden well kempt. You get everything you need, there's also plenty of outdoor seating and two grills to use! Parking available on site, prices very reasonable for the area. Strongly recommend!

I was staying in this motel (or should I rather say hotel?) for month and a half when I moved to south Florida. Guy and Pierre made me feel very welcomed and I felt like I was a part of the family and this comforting was the exact thing I needed during one of the most stressful times of my life.
Location is perfect and not very far down from the beach. As little as 5 minutes and you there. Very safe at night. They have a pool which I never used but there was always someone who enjoyed this amenity. Rooms are big enough for one person but if you are traveling with family, you can request suites or even an apartment for long term if available. I didn’t complained. My room had everything I needed. Refrigerator, microwave, tv and bathroom 😅 I even love the fact that they have a mini-room for your closet in every room. Very clean and great room service every other day. I will be recommending this place to everyone I know 👍🏼
The only bad thing I found about this place is WiFi signal. And it is not even their fault. But it Should not be a big deal for those who travel.Enjoy the beauty of Hollywood in person!

Bottom line: I will miss this place.

I searched every travel site and couldn't find one bad review of this motel, so I booked for my and my husband's honeymoon. It did not disappoint. Cleanliness is my number one and this motel is VERY clean. Nice pool views from our room. All employees have smiles and were super nice. Great location from beach, mall and restaurants. If ever back down that way will stay again.

I picked this location somewhat randomly but oh man, I will never stay anywhere else if I come here.

The cleanliness, the friendlyness and the location were everything I needed and the Location can not be beat. The bed was surprisingly comfortable.

Be mindful of checking in before midnight, but other than that- this place is everything you could ask for if you need to hang your hat.

This Motel is by far the best boutique hotel on the strip. The owners are great made me feel right at home. Plenty of restaurants super market and bar in the area. If you looking for a small but chill spot this is place. I’m definitely coming back!!!!

The two guys who own the motels are super nice and accommodating. Clean, does the job we didn’t have a maid or a cleaning service each day we were there but the owner hand-delivered us new towels every day which was nice. A little pricey for what you get but it did the job. We stayed at the beach location and it was a 30 second walk to the beach which was amazing!!

We stayed at this Place the third Year in a Row. The House is close enough to the Beach to get awake before you step into the Ocean. And it's far enough to relax in the evening when the Party is going on at Nicks Bar. Nice Restaurants around, a beautiful beach and a wonderful Broadwalk to walk or ride along.
The owners, two Brothers help to have a Great vacation!

This place is very clean, makes u feel like your home. The owner is super friendly and helpful. I traveled with my baby and he helped me get around at ease. I will come back here.

Great price, clean facilities and grounds, the owners were fantastic. It's definitely not a party spot, a lot if the travelers were older European couples but the location was great with many great restaurants very close by.

The staff could not be anymore friendly or accommodating. The rooms were clean, and the pool temperature was perfect. Would recommend this motel to anyone.

Amazing place, cozy and brand new looking. The staff it's so friendly and they make you feel like you're visiting your second home.
