FLHSMV Driver License and Motor Vehicle Service Centers

I had an issue with my online appointment and I had to walk in. I was lucky I got in, it took me 28min to renew my Driver license. Way faster and more organized than 8 months ago . Norma was the lady helping me. She was efficient and to the point.

I went twice, two 5-star reviews. They do miracles for how understaffed they are. Appointment is practically mandatory though, otherwise be prepared to the worst. I bet all one stars are from those who want to bend the rules or try to do walk-ins at 9am…

After visiting other DMV locations, I was pleasantly surprised by the service and efficiency in this location at Centro City Plaza. Had an appointment and it took about 30 minutes to get a driver’s license. Staff was great and the place organized. They only do driver’s licenses here though no car registrations.

I don't understand all of the 1 star reviews. Likely from people who are unprepared or have unrealistic expectations. I have used this office twice now; once with an an appointment and again without one. In both cases service was friendly and very efficient. I happy to recommend this location.

You expect DMV to be actual hell, and when it isn’t, it’s a pleasant surprise. Sure, it’s not the most efficient operation on earth, but people at this location were relatively friendly and did not seem like they sought to make your life miserable. On to the things that matter:
-ample parking. This is in a huge shopping center
-if you show up early for your appointment they will ask you to come back 5 min before.
-there is a different line initially for appointments, but you get put into the same line all together.
-during your first queue, they will give you a clear folder for all your docs which is quite nice
-you get a number and sit down after that first queue
-they call you, you do what you need to do
-if you’re getting a license, afterwards you will line up again, go pay, and then they will tell you to sit back down before you pick up.

Yes, there are a lot more queues than you might like, but overall this was a decent experience, which is miles above my own expectations.

To be honest , it exceeded my expectations, o was expecting long lines, length visit , but it was the oposite , its was super fast , organized , smooth , very organized . Just make sure you make your appointment online .

Great Service And Fast (I know it’s hard to believe but true) I had an appointment at noon, they took me early and I was in and out in 40 minutes!
And on top of it they were efficient and very nice! This is the one to go to! And they should all get a raise!
I swear on a stack of bibles I don’t work there or know anyone that does. They are really just that good!

There's many people just expect to wait. But they are doing their best to stay organized. If everybody bring the necessary documents the line would go even faster.

Honestly, this place is great. The reviews aren't true. Everything was done fast!

I went for a second time, and the customer service changed dramatically in a good way. Edwin, Cynthia and the new lady handling the line outside were extremely fast, professional and courteous.

They are very very hard workers. It's a pity it's a small place for such a big city.

Appointment was 10:45. I got there 10:30. Had to get in line (there's an appointment line).

Got inside 11:15. Got out by 12:30.

The staff there is really friendly and helpful. They're all really great people. Go in with a great attitude expecting the best, you will be solid, trust me.

Just make sure you take all necessary documents and paperwork!!!

I arrived without appointment at 7:30 am and the line was already 60 people long. But the staff was extremely helpful and organized the group quickly. By 8 am I was already inside with a ticket number and by 9am I was out with a renewed license. Great team of people works there, everyone sweet, helpful and efficient! Life savers 🙏🏼

It’s a little confusing outside but if you have an appointment you can go right in and it was quick, especially for a Friday afternoon. I was there probably 40 mins total.

Norma. She is the best advisor. Helping everyone. In the drivers licenses issues. Bilingual lady. And friendly service. God bless her

So you hear all of these stories about the DMV. So today I arrived, completely prepared for what you always here… that’s not what I saw or experienced. I easily found my way into a line, where an agent evaluates your need and ensures that you have your documents and they provide a pouch to put it in… For a moment there was a question as to my appointment which could have easily been questioned… The agent was poised and courteous, and saw me on way with an appointment… inside, I received a number and direction as to where I should wait…. I watched the numbers pass by rapidly… One after the other… And before I know it, I was called… The agent I met at the window was courteous and professional… Friendly and knowledgeable. She processed me with ease… I moved on to pay and was again greeted by a completely competent, courteous and friendly agent… before I knew it I was completely served completely. Everybody there look happy and purposeful… my compliments to everybody working the DMV and 37th Ave. in Miami…

Sometimes going to the DMV can be a pain but this office was very helpful. The staff was polite, and professional excellent customer service. They made the process very smooth one of the most organized DMV offices I’ve ever been too.

I showed up at 6am had all of my required papers and was out by 9am with my Florida driver's license. The line was long but was organized by 8am. Very happy with my experience.

Honestly, I was hesitant with the reviews below but this was the most pleasant experience I have ever had at a DMV period. OPlease note, I made an appointment for 4:15. One, all of the representatives were super nice and welcoming and two I was in and out in under 45 minutes. If you are doing a walk in, it will probably take longer so I recommend making an appointment now that it’s available.

Best dmv ever if you have something quick to do they will help you right away.
