This is a wonderful institution with caring and knowledgeable mental health professionals providing evidence-based treatment. We used their intensive outpatient program for adolescents from 3-6pm every day, which enabled our child to remain in school and still benefit from the program. We learned a great deal and our child made significant progress with the program. Augusto was an awesome therapist - skilled, sincere, and empathetic and able to motivate our child to progress.

I recommend Rogers wholeheartedly and hope they continue to be able to serve the community.

Articulating my immense gratitude for the team at Rogers is impossible. After all, how do you begin to thank someone for saving your child’s life? Or, for teaching your child how to save her own life?

Thinking back to the circumstances that led us to Rogers is difficult. For over a decade, we'd watched our vibrant child get slowly swallowed by an invisible monster. For a parent, seeing your child disappearing and not being able to fix what’s broken is an unimaginable pain. As is seeing anyone you love that much being robbed of the life they deserve by a severe mental health disorder. And then having to accept that even the deepest love isn’t enough to help them.

All of us were exhausted and scared. For 13 years, my husband and I were in the driver’s seat of a vehicle we didn’t know how to operate, on roads we didn’t recognize, in conditions that were constantly changing. We felt so alone and meanwhile, our daughter was slipping further, shrinking her world down to nothing. Telling us she didn’t belong in this world. Everything became a trigger for her until the whole world was unsafe in her mind. Her fears were relentless, demanding and cruel.

After so many wrong turns, we finally arrived at her diagnosis of severe OCD, which led us to Rogers. I’ll never forget the first day I arrived. For the first time in 13 years, I felt safe enough to step back. I knew we’d finally found a team of experts and we could hand over the steering wheel. It was as though we’d been holding our breath the entire time and someone finally gave us permission to breathe.

During her 14 weeks there, we watched our daughter find remarkable courage to pry the grips of the OCD monster off of her thanks to the incredible team of experts. We saw the enormous fortress of her fears begin to crumble.

You won't find a more dedicated, compassionate and knowledgeable team anywhere and the treatment is so custom tailored that it blew us away. Being in an environment that was so completely safe, supportive and fluent in OCD was transformative. Each and every one of the staff have played a critical role in this journey. From teaching her so comprehensively about her OCD, to knowing exactly when to keep challenging her and push her to keep going. From coming up with perfectly tailored exposures for her.

They're all incredible at what they do and clearly are all people who care so profoundly about their work.

And now, for us, seeing our daughter emerge. This person who we haven’t yet gotten to see. It’s as beautiful as the day she was born. We’ve been fighting to find her for so, so long. And she is finally here with us. There has never been a time in our families lives that has been happier than we all feel, thanks to Rogers.

I say that knowing full well our journey is far from over, and there will be challenges ahead. But we can move forward now with the confidence and knowledge that Rogers has equipped our daughter (and all of us) for this journey. She is ready and we’re all here to celebrate each step and help her when she stumbles. Rogers gave us the gift of seeing our daughter start to reclaim her life.

Our son was practically dysfunctional with anxiety when we enrolled him in RBH Miami. 6 weeks later we have our son back. He learned to manage his anxiety. The staff at RBH was amazing. His therapists Miss Ana and Miss Daniela were knowledgeable, caring, empathetic and connected with my son in a way that they were able to help him learn the tools he needed to manage his anxiety. Their expertise with his specific issues facilitated their ability to quickly and effectively help him. His Family therapist Miss Cesi was amazing helping our son, but helping the parents through this process and teaching us what we needed to know to help him. I highly recommend this facility if your child is suffering from OCD or anxiety. It changed the trajectory of our sons life and helped a family that was in serious distress not knowing what to do to help him.

I am currently still going to this place with the IOP program, but this place has worked wonders. This place has helped me, since day one when things were looking really rough. Everything felt very hopeless for me and my family. I couldn't even stand do some of the things I didn't know I could overcome until I got to this place. All of the staff are super extremely caring and try so hard to help you and push you to get through all your mental challenges. I've developed a deep connection to the staff and they have also been super fun while trying to push you through. I don't have enough words to describe the amount of help this place has provided for me and my family. They also make sure to reach out and explain things between you and the family, and try to help them also get a better understanding about some of the psycho education, and how to treat the issue you are facing mentally. Anyways, I LOOOOVE everyone from the lobby to the therapists I love everyone sooo much :)

This place legitimately saved my life, I have spent ten years in and out of therapy and seven trying different medications with no success, including residential treatments, so I was doubtful I would receive any help here. I was completely blown away by both the therapy I got and the help with medication. I’ve finally found a combination of medications that work for me, and received thoughtful and helpful talk therapy. I am so grateful for how professional and helpful everyone was. Thank you.

IF you are committed to getting better, can keep an open mind, and show up to do the work, this place amazing. I went for 8 weeks M-F and it helped tremendously. They are helpful with insurance, copays, and disability.#noregrets

Was not happy with my experience with ocd treatment. Therapist called me selfish and whole thing was a mess I hope things have gotten better. I also was dismissed from the program for struggling. They should of been more helpful.

Highly rigid approach to OCD treatment. Will work for standard but not complex cases. Lead psychiatrist is a rather arrogant and unpleasant person. Social workers are doing their best but unable to treat more complex issues.

I did Rogers IOP (couldn’t afford full-day PHP) after a period of doing outpatient therapy, so I had a good idea how quality care should go. Rogers wasn’t that for me.

A positive I’ll note was the facility itself. It’s beautiful. However, they should invest in white-noise machines/sound-proofing, as it’s unfortunately hard not to hear neighboring rooms (muffled, but intelligible).

The therapy here involved the therapist planning exposures, doing some trials with you, & then leaving you alone to do more. Granted, I get it, patients need to establish autonomy, but there were times I was just idle in my room, with one occasion being told by the therapist that they would return in around 20 minutes, which actually became around 46. Also, from day one there was a trend of tardiness for scheduled sessions or psychoeducation. Upon addressing these with the supervisor, I was told it was a miscommunication issue, & that the therapist is divided amongst multiple patients at one time, & that Rogers is not like outpatient places where you can expect a full hour of direct therapy. Understandable, but again, I paid out of pocket, as I don’t have insurance, so you’d think that would motivate a team to at least be punctual/consistent. Honestly, I was only going off of the schedule that they themselves write in the patient rooms daily. Therefore, if it says psychoeducation from 9:30-10 or exposures with therapist from 10-11, wouldn’t any patient expect for it to at least start on time? In addition, I was told by therapy that patients at my level who do IOP don’t typically get much better, when I explained I simply can’t pay for full day PHP - how discouraging is that?

Sadly, upon requesting a therapist change, the supervisor told me that at Rogers they do not really do therapist changes. That’s when I thought I was not a priority there. They were willing & fine to let me continue with someone I didn’t feel good with. Even if it was because staff is spread too far thin, I can only go off of the schedule they themselves give me, so Rogers should hire more staff if that’s the case. I will say, the therapist’s punctuality & attention did improve after speaking with the supervisor, but my trust/confidence had already been affected, & the fact I even had to address punctuality at all is concerning. What happens for people who don’t/can’t?

Scheduled psychoeducation times in my case meant that you're left with a packet, then the therapist returns later & re-reads the exact packet you just read yourself. Also, the weekly psychiatric follow-ups consisted of the psychiatrist taking me out of my mindfulness group, the only group I had, & seeing me for roughly 5-10 minutes. Why at a time that removes me from my only group? It couldn’t have been during the daily scheduled time for using a Rogers phone app in your room? The app could be homework. The psychiatrist seemed nice, but I was also consistently reminded that I am a severe case although I felt I was making progress.

I had to be my own advocate, because it felt like few were on my side (front desk staff were very nice however). Because even billing/admins came with issues, as between the patient financial services department & program coordinator, I was given the wrong pricing for payment three separate times, to the point that I actually had to send an email to patient financial services, & another to the program coordinator, both involving me typing out equations to help them see their respective errors. One mistake is fine, but 3 times? Talk about unprofessional.

I can only speak on my IOP experience; if you qualify/have the means for PHP, I think do that, as I can only hope that it’s better. Sadly my experience in IOP was negative enough for me to feel I should leave this review, as I wouldn’t want someone to have my experience. I left feeling hurt, taken advantage of, & as if I was the issue, when I just wanted help. I hope others have better experiences here.

We had a poor experience with our daughter´s treatment at Rogers earlier this year, during pandemic. They assessed her case, by phone, and were super nice to begin with, made a final assessment that recommended a 6 hour daily intensive six week treatment, but in reality, the patient ends up being in their room isolated supposedly doing “work" with a "therapist" that was assigned (by chance?) to her case. In our case, it was a person who was not empathetic, talkative, knowledgeable or resourceful.
The communications with the family (us) was very poor as well. When my daughter called the institute to request a change of therapist, instead of having somebody from the institute call her to ask why, they made her confront him directly with the assigned therapist asking “why do you not like me as your counselor?” Good grief! . So she had to actually explain to him why she wanted a replacement, which is very uncomfortable and puts you in jeopardy. Of course, Rogers never did take her voice or petition into consideration. What is this? So, you need to be stuck to a therapist or counselor you don’t feel good with? Why? Oh, of course, it is not convenient for you to change your pre-established unpersonalized process. You made it so difficult for her petition to change therapist, that she ended just staying with the assigned therapist she disliked for the rest of the sessions and of course did not have a good outcome. End result: My daughter ended being all day secluded in her room scribbling sad written assignments, group therapy that left her even more depressed, and some new acronyms to learn.

The institute's attitude towards the patients is quite dismissive once you enroll and they charge your insurance. At Rogers Behavioral Health they do not really care for your healthcare, nor well being or mental health. After treatment, they insist you continue to therapy after your treatment and sent my daughter with a list of 1 Dr. recommendation who ended up never ever returning our 4 calls and messages. Our experience was very poor with your institute and we will not recommend it AT ALL.

Don't go at all if you are a dark skin person. They have you thinking they have your back when they don't. I was getting help for my mother and all they did was put her in a bad mind. i hope this is helpful for anyone looking for help or wanted to get this out. Run from them.... Good luck to the next person who was asking for help.find ....

Terrible experience at Rogers in Miami on many levels. Awful communication to families as well as amongst the mental health staff. Front desk, etc. is so uninformed and our unfortunate experience was that the right hand doesn’t know what the left hand is doing. And, what’s worse is that the kids jn program are not engaged effectively but rather put in a room by themselves(just continues the isolation these teenagers were impacted by in the first place).

Really bad experience. Your left alone in a room for most of the day. They failed to refill my medication 3 different times! The psychiatrist barely even sees you. Avoid if you can.
