VCA Buffalo Ridge Animal Hospital at Pinellas Plaza

Have been coming here since we got our new kitten. I absolutely love the vet! She relates well to both human and animal. She is personable, honest and knows what she is talking about. I’m not the youngest person, so I have been to several vets and have also moved a lot for work. This vet is one of the best I have been to in years. I am quite picky and I trust her with my animal, which is huge.I plan to bring my older cat when his checkup is due. Thank you Dr. Morris! The staff is awesome too! Highly recommend.

(09/22/2021) It was about 8:15AM when I opened their door and asked them to help my fur baby. The nurse and staff were amazing with the care they gave my poor girl. With a heavy heart they did all they could for her and allowed me to have a last goodbye.
Those who say, "it's just a dog" you'll never know love if you've never owned an animal. Thank you staff, nurses and doctors for helping me get through today. Your staff is amazing. Thank you so much for your compassion and time to say goodbye.

When I found my puppy unresponsive Buffalo Ridge was the first place I called and they said bring her down and was even caring enough to ask me to drive safely because they could tell I was upset. Unfortunately my puppy didnt make it(she was DOA) but the vet and vet techs were so caring and sweet and carefully explained everything to me and patiently answered all my questions. Buffalo Ridge was even kind enough to work with us on the bill since there was nothing else they could do. They have forever left an imprint on my heart just as much as that pup did. I will forever be using this animal hospital.

Kristine, Frances, and Krisita have been such a pleasure to work with. They are over the top accommodating and truly care about your pet’s health. Absolutely excellent. Caring professionals that treated our 2 cats wonderfully.

Last year they gave a 1 year Rabies by mistake. When questioned, the vet said he wasn’t sure why they didn’t give 3 year. Rabies was due again in May but we’ve been away (truck drivers) and just now back in town December. They wouldn’t give 3 year because they now say they don’t have his past records in their system. They scanned them last year at this location and 2 years ago at their hospital so another one year rabies because I don’t have his records with me. We waited an hour and a half after our appointment time to be seen. Charge for visit and rabies vaccine today $70.80. We’re done here.

They refuse to give prices upfront. You have to pay for an appointment before they will tell you how much they charge for services.

These vets do not care about the pets. Our dog presented with swollen lymph nods. The vet spend 3weeks and $1000 doing useless tests but did not do a biopsy. Sure enough the dog has Lymphoma. We wasted all that time when he could have been getting treatment. We also had a hard time getting the vet to call us with test results. We had to ask for the manager to get her to call us back.

I will never allow this business to care for my animals. My pet has seizures and is on medication I called in to get refills and I had been busy and I let his medication go lower than I normally do . I called to get a script for refills and they told me they would not fill his script because he needed an exam when he was UTD on everything until 9/30/22. I explained that it was Friday and he would be out of his meds by monday . They still refused to fill it even told me to contact another place to see if they would. You cannot refuse to fill a life threatening medication based on wanting another exam . You can fill a shorter corse and request an exam . The idea that they would intentionally put my pet in harms way is very disturbing.
