Catfish Johnny's Restaurant

I normally don't leave reviews, but in this case I would feel guilty if I didn't! I am a central Florida resident and frequent many restaurants. Catfish Johnny's was a referral so we decided to give it a try. Oh my goodness what a find!!!! We were a group of six (4 adults and 2 children). Our waitress was new, but paid attention to every detail. The service was prompt, the food was excellent, the restaurant (and restrooms were clean) and the employees were friendly and efficient. Thank you Catfish Johnny's for a wonderful experience. We will be back very soon!

The very best tasting food that has ever come out of a body of water is here. The catfish is better than any fish or actual "sea food" I have ever had in my 55 years. Come and get it!

Catfish Johnny's is always a great place to dine. My Fishing Club ate there and everyone enjoyed the food and atmosphere. Get there early before the crowd comes in. A very popular eating spot.

Took a trip to a nearby fishing camp. Stumbled across Catfish Johnny's for dinner. Had Gator bites and fried Catfish. Both absolutely amazing. Service, Food, Atmosphere was spot on. Thanks for the hospitality. See ya'll again soon. 🐟 🎣

A small town, REAL old style restaurant!! Amazing food....wonderful service...wide variety of food selections beyond just seafood...Cesar salad came with our meal...sadly they were out of baked potatoes and cheese grits in the night we went
Nice selection of beer and wine too...they use the honor system if you get a cold one to enjoy if you need to wait to be seated "just tell your server" are the instructions as they hand you your cold one....
Johnny's isnt open late so plan to be there by 730pm or so as they no longer take customers at 8pm

Catfish Johnny's never let's anyone down.. Anything on the menu is beyond compare. We always ask for the Number One Server, Dixie. Excellent food here! The atmosphere and design give you that lake feel! Catfish Johnny’s is the place to be with the locals. The prices are very affordable. I thought it would cost much more for the value!

It's been 3 years since our last visit. We enjoyed the Perch and Catfish dinners then.. Today we had an great Steak dinner. Beautifully cooked and seasoned. Excellent server who was friendly, helpful and efficient. We won't leave another visit so long.

Simple restaurant near Lake Panosoffkee with nice seafood choices. We had whole catfish and catfish tenders with fries, coleslaw and hush puppies. Each item was well done. They also Grouper and Shrimp specials today.

Absolutely delish! Crab legs were seasoned beyond perfection and snapped beautifully. Gator was seasoned well, but for the dinner I’d love a little more, but worth every penny. The cheeseburger soup was also extremely delicious, I regretted getting a salad after trying it! Our waitress (Blonde, maybe Tiffany) was exceptional and went above and beyond even if it was take out. Thanks for an amazing meal for some out of towners!

Interesting establishment, we arrived on Tuesday morning to find ourselves in a line before it opened. Turns out that for a flat fee, they will feed you (limited selection) and after you eat, treat you to an ole fashion 'Country Jam' with Catfish Johnny and the Hushpuppy Band. There is a wide slice of professional and local talent that performs until 3:00PM. So if you want to hear old nostalgic country music then this is the venue for you. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and if you come you probably will too. Attached are a few photos and video's of what to expect. Enjoy.

Great food & people! We got here around 4:15 on Friday & had a 15 minute wait...lots of early eaters! The generous fish serving was perfectly broiled & seasoned. Love the corn fritters! It's like dessert with dinner. 😁😋 This place has a good hometown, fish camp feel with wait staff who aren't afraid to chat with you. Great place!

Stop here, don't pass it by! Staff is super friendly with a small town atmosphere. The food...THE FOOD! Gator bites were lightly breaded. Amazing with the remoulade sauce, a must. (Picture is with a couple gator bites missing, we couldn't wait!) Catfish fingers were so tender like butter. Don't use tarter sauce, they're perfect the way they are.

Stopped for an early dinner after boating. Service was fast and friendly and the food was good. I had an excellent cheeseburger, my husband had fried seafood which he really enjoyed. And the prices were excellent.

I have no previous frame of reference, but compared to nothing, the fried gator was tasty - deep fried and breaded, it tastes a’bit like chicken. By the way, super friendly staff, cozy, clean place.

It's always a good meal when we come here.

Pretty much everything on the menu is fried food but everything we ordered was delicious! Loved the gator bites!
