Front Porch Cafe- Kill Devil Hills

Our love for Front Porch Cafe, requires us to stop every weekend we are down here! Excellent selection of coffees, hot or cold you will not be disappointed. I am a huge fan of the Heath Bar (cold or hot) and their cinnamon buns are excellent! They have merchandise from local artisans and of course the perfect Front Porch Hoodie - a requirement for chilly night walks on the beach! Great atmosphere to sit and relax with your favorite drink and snack! Would recommend every location.
We are frequent visitors to Nags Head, Kill Devils Hill, and Manteo locations. YOU CANT GO wrong!

I am visiting from the Oregon Coast where coffee is a way of life. This place was the 4th coffee place I tried and I do not need to look further. I placed my order to my specifications (16 oz breve, 180° 1/2 pump dark chocolate). It was 100% perfect. The other 3 places missed the mark on both heat and sweetness though I gave them all the exact same directions. (It's my only vice so please forgive me. It's important. 😊 IYKYK). Owen was the young barista and he was very friendly as was the other gentleman. I am here for 2 more days and have my spot. Yay!!!

Extraordinary service, coffee, and food. We had the Zen bowls, muffin, and coffee/latte. You can tell the difference in the coffee since they roast it in house. It is far superior to any other coffee. The food was very fresh as well. Our pups also enjoyed some pup treats.

Iced lattes are my favorite drink at Front Porch! There are tasty baked goods. There are few seats inside and outside. You won't be disappointed here!

This place has much-much better coffee than in Starbucks. The prices are more adequate compared to Starbucks's. Great and speedy service. Very clean inside. I would come again and again here.

Wonderful little coffee spot! Hit this place on the way out of town. As a non coffee drinker I LOVED how many alternative beverage options they had (amazing chai latte, btw) as well as breakfast items! Fun atmosphere, friendly staff, great establishment. Would come again!

A wonderful place to visit. Whether local or visiting, you will get delicious coffee and fantastic service. Thoroughly enjoyed the espresso macchiato with half and half, had it four mornings in a row. Having never tried their nitro cold brew I was offered a taste before ordering. I knew I would like it, but that was a nice touch. Their muffins are super tasty, the music sets a good mood and the staff is beyond excellent.

The coffee beans are roasted right here where you can see it!! Best quality & freshness anywhere!

So happy to find this shop on my last visit to the OBX! The coffee and treats were so yummy! There may be a line at the predictable times, but worth the wait.

Very good house coffee. Stopped here a couple times while staying in Kill Devil Hills and had some great house coffee on my runs, and they had small snacks. All very reasonable prices, much better then my local coffee shop back home. Also some great selection on the house coffees.

After trying a different coffee shop in the OBX and being severely underwhelmed, I took my two-year-old to Front Porch this morning. The atmosphere inside was welcoming; there was plenty of seating inside and out. They had an expansive easy-to-read menu and lots of delicious-looking food. My hot mocha was excellent.

But what I real to share is their superb customer service. My daughter started crying as we were waiting for our drinks, and I wasn’t sure how I was going to carry three drinks and a crying toddler to my car. The cafe worker who was in the register intervened and asked my daughter if she wanted a “special kids’ coffee”— she filled up a little coffee cup with some water, wrote a silly name on the cup, and appeased my unhappy child. You better believe I’ll be back next time I am in OBX!

You can't ask for better baristas...and the White West Third (hot or iced) hits the spot to start your day! And if you are lucky enough to be there on a White Chocolate Raspberry Scone day...don't leave without out one 😋 You can thank me later ❤

I loved the coffee they made here out of any coffee shop in the area. I also thought their croissants were the best I ever had! The local art they sell and support of local business is what is nice to see. Would recommend 10/10 for coffee lovers.

So friendly! This was my first time time visiting and was not sure what to get and the staff was very nice and helpful. They also take your own coffee containers and provide a discount! Yay to reducing waste! We got the matcha latte and regular latte. Delicious!

The wife and I were looking for a place to get some coffee on the way out of Kill Devil Hills and this was the closest one on the map. I'm so glad it was! Excellent selection, great staff, great prices - it will be a regular stop of ours when we're in the area!

Stopped in for the first time today for coffee and breakfast. The coffee was EXCELLENT and the croissants were absolutely amazing. This is going to be our new obx coffee place. Excellent service, great prices, delicious food.

One of the only places you’ll find organic coffee around here, and it’s wonderful! Kombucha on tap is delicious. Probably the best black cold brew I’ve ever had. Speciality drinks that are high quality and they are happy to customize. All around wonderful, warm service at each location (KDH especially). In the words of the woman who served us today who calmly and masterfully handled her line out the door, “We’re so proud of our products, and I love working here!” Skip Starbucks and support this gem forever.

Iced matcha latte was on point, perfect flavor combo and no added sugar like everyone else does. I got it with coconut milk, amazing. And the girl at the counter was awesome and very helpful. :)

I was surprised to learn that this little coffee shop was a chain. I stopped in for a little pick-me-up and got a blueberry hibiscus iced tea and a cranberry orange muffin. The gentleman behind the counter was very friendly and we chatted a bit about things to do locally. The blueberry hibiscus with a dash of simple syrup, really hit the spot on a hot day! My absolute favorite though, was the muffin. I like cranberry orange in general, but this muffin was excellent. It was moist and delicious with plump, juicy cranberries, a hint of orange, and topped with the perfect sugary crust. I may just have to go get another one tomorrow! Yes, they’re that good!

I cannot overstate how much I love this place. On a recent OBX trip, my wife and I went 4 days in a row. We got dark roast three of those days. Ea h day was a different featured dark roast and each was delicious. They had oat milk for me and almond for my wife. The fourth day we each got "Salty Beach" shaken latte with Oat milk. One of the best coffee drinks I've ever had. I like that the shop is open late because I like to have a coffee around 2 or 3 and some of the shops close at 2:00pm. The service was great too. They go out of their way to make you sure you have a good experience. They also have special drinks for kids, which my kids enjoyed.
