What a cool shop! They have tie-dye shirts of course but that’s only a small part of the numerous treasures that you can find here. They have a huge selection of tobacco pipes, tobacco papers and vapes. They also have a very, very cool crystal section. The have jewelry, incense, gifts and so much more. The staff is very helpful if you have questions.

Chill place with a great selection. The staff member checking us out gifted us a couple of cool, weird stickers and was very friendly. Check out the shop if you’re nearby!

Interesting little shop! It’s definitely a must visit for our family when we visit OBX. Staff is super friendly and attentive. The clothing items are interesting. Last year my wife found a dress that has become one of her favorites and we bought a couple of great tapestries. The body jewelry selection is good. The head shop side has a wide variety of items to choose from. Would highly recommend stopping in if you’re into what they have to offer!

Definitely a one of a kind shop, not your typical run in & run out to pick up a quick suggestion from someone working there that more than likely hasn't even tried the product they are selling. But here just by spending a little time talking with the ones that run the shop you quickly can learn so many accurate facts. They Do Not sell it market anything they have not personally tried and can give you their honest opinion & feedback on, in fact they will not even sell a product if they don't feel comfortable about it's benefits being all that the manufacturers make it out to be. They have such a huge variety of things as well, from awesome Tshirts and clothing to unique and unusual gifts or treasures for yourself. I highly recommend this place above any other I have ever walked into. I can't say enough about the friendliness and knowledgeable staff that are there running the shop.

Cute place , we made a t shirt and a dress. The worker there was so helpful and friendly. Our tie dye came out beautiful. We will be back again.

Went with my mother for vacation and the lady was knowledgeable and friendly. We had fun and the shirt turned out great thanks to her help. Will certainly visit again the next time to get another item.

I am a child of the 1960s and love Tie-Dye. But NOT the standard swirl color pattern that is oh so common. Island Dyes has a huge selection of unique Tie-Dye T-shirts and other clothes, many unique curios and crafts, and a bewilderingly large collect of SYN glassware - both artistic and utilitarian.

The staff is quite on the young side -- at least to those in their 70s -- but are extremely nice and helpful. The shop is definitely worth a look.

AND -- about 3 miles from the main shop is the smaller Island Dyes workshop where customers can take a class to create their own Tie-Dye shirt. Would have been fun, but didn't have time. Next trip for sure.

The ladies who work here are extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Highly recommend dropping by for your glass, gummy, tye-dye needs. Plus they have crystals, jewelry and a lot of other cute things in the store. Reasonably priced.

I have been coming to these guys since the 90s. They have a little bit of everything, and at a decent price. It is a great store for smoking supplies and they have a wide selection of tapestries, jewelry, and hemp apparel.
