Needed info about a family member who passed in Wake County 5 years ago. The lady I spoke with was very friendly and helpful. I also requested info online about autopsy. I received that info via email in less than 6 hours. Now, that's what I call great customer service! Thank you so much.

Quick, easy and got what I needed. After listening to the recorded message and instructions, I went to my county register of deeds and picked up a copy of the needed document.

Every time I have called, I have gotten nothing but utter compassion, empathy and great customer service. I really appreciate that during this extremely difficult time.

I don't understand why they can't hire more people if they're so far behind waiting 6 months to a year for a simple autopsy is unacceptable

Please correct the voice mail to allow people to leave their info to possibly get an autopsy report status

We have been waiting for my aunts death since March of 2023. March 4th will be a full year. We call every week. We just want to know what happened to my aunt. This is unacceptable and someone should be held accountable.

It's unacceptable for the wait time to get results. Y'all can't be using COVID as an excuse for being short staff. I work in healthcare I know how it is. I don't care how nice y'all can be on the phone. I care about getting results. What should take 2-3 months at most has now been 7 months and still counting. The case has been in review for almost 2 months now. Y'all need to do better with regards to peoples loved ones.

Was wondering do people actually get answers from the OCME? 4 months waiting and not as much as a peep from anyone. Don't say it takes 2-3 months if it really takes 6mos to a year. Honesty is a great thing!!

If I could give 0 stars I would. My grandson passed in his sleep February of 23 and we still have not got any results. I call weekly and all I get is case time varies that’s bullcrap! It’s bad enough losing a 23 months old baby but not knowing is even harder. The nc medical examiner office in Raleigh needs to get it together and hire more people if needed. But I know to them it’s just another body but to us he is loved and missed everyday. Pisses me off that we can’t get an answer!!

Have been waiting since September 25, 2022 for autopsy results always told still in process. No family should have to wait this long.

I have been in contact with Valerie Durham and she is the most unprofessional person I’ve ever seen in my life. Please do not expect anything more than her job description from her. She’s guaranteed to do the bare minimum IF THAT! I hate I have to be in contact with her on the behalf of my deceased fiancé this has been a hard time and she’s made it nothing but worse. I’m surprised she is even working in this field being that she shows how careless she is towards people’s situation I can honestly say she’s a nasty piece of work!!!

Very unprofessional my son was dead they would not let me see him. It should have been my choice not there's.
They never even spoke to me.
