Char Grill

First time at a Char Grill. Cute little burger joint with better than average quality fast food. Food was freshly made and served hot. Ordered the 1/4 pd cheeseburger and fries. I would definitely return.

We want to shout out the amazing customer service on Saturday, January 13th, 11:45am in the drive through at the Wake Forest location! The attendant was friendly, attentive, a pleasure to engage with! Best fast food service we’ve had in a long, long time! Thank you for the positive customer service!

It was decorated beautifully. The cashier taking orders even remembered I don’t like a bun or fries! Love it!

Great place to stop and have lunch. Restaurant was clean and well organized. Eays in and out of the parking lot. Drive through is wide and easy to maneuver in. Restrooms were clean and had ample space to move around if you need it. Staff was friendly and helpful. For those who cannot have sugar in their drinks they have diet fountain drinks and unsweetened tea and they have Splenda as a sweetener if you need it.

Great place to grab a burger and fries.

UPDATED 25 February 2024: The food had gotten a lot better at this location. Tonight, my burger was cooked perfectly. Great flavor. I also love their apple pies.

Staff is *always* helpful and friendly.

I'll start by saying the service is great! The staff is friendly and helpful. The restaurant is kept clean and sanitize. They are practicing social distancing.

The food is mediocre. My burger was a little overdone. Even if it was cooked a little less it still would have been meh. It's not terrible, but it's not great. We got the apple turnover for dessert. It was average, nothing great.

Considering the number of other restaurants in the area, I'm not sure I'll be back.

Great tasting burgers! Good prompt service. Attentive employees. We mainly go to the drive-thru.
Yummy milk shakes and brownies!

I've been a few times through the Drive-thru but today I finally came inside. The restaurant was clean. Friendly staff. The milkshake machine wasn't working properly but staff was working extra hard to get what they can out of it just to make a few shakes for a couple customer instead of just saying it was broken and leaving at that.
Note: they have had it repaired but they didn't fully fix it.
Love their blt. Make sure you add mayo. The staff informed me they do not come with mayo.

I’ll be honest, the negative reviews made me question trying this place. Glad that I gave them a chance. My experience had shown that sometimes, disgruntled employees or applicants will leave negative reviews. I look past those and try to see for myself.
First, Jessa took my order from the drive-thru. Extremely polite and I could hear her smile through the speaker and I was not wrong. She greeted me when I pulled up to the window and was as pleasant as she sounded. HUGE plus right off the bat. The wait was not long, granted, they have been open a few weeks and it was a Friday at 11am but nonetheless, the visit was quick. My food was hot, so hot It was hard to hold the burger long enough to snap this photo, lol. The photo BTW, is to show that the burgers are not RAW as a few have said. Great taste, great service, great value. I will be back.

I grew up going to the Char Grill in downtown Raleigh and I was very excited when they opened this location. The food is amazing and those pink Carolina packer hot dogs bring back so many great memories.

Such kind employees. I came up to chargrill to get some lunch today and I accidentally melted my motorcycle jacket against my exhaust so while running around like a mad man to get it off multiple employees offered help and they where also kind enough to cover my my I will definitely be coming here more often!

I love their concept. Food is consistently good.

I had a great experience at chargrill wake forest on 5-22-23 with Jessa (sp?). She was very polite and happy. Thank you Jessa. I love this place. Very good food and shakes for price. I begain going to chargrill on hillsborough street in 1982 and have loved them ever since. Thank you.

I have loved this chain for around 40 years. First ate at the original Char Grill in downtown Raleigh. The best burgers ever. So glad this one opened in Wake Forest.

I have a hard time deciding what to get, chicken tender sandwich, or blt, or bbq sandwich. I've had all 3 and they are all #1 in my book.

Wonderful customer service my order wasn’t made correctly but the manager Chris handled the situation with nothing but politeness. I couldn’t be anymore satisfied with the team at this location. Every time I come the whole team is so kind and goes way and beyond. The drive thru is so fast amazing!

The food was delicious! The place was clean, the staff was always on the move, steady stream of customers! We liked the feel of the original Char Grill with the order window and the addition of the inside dining area around the order windows so we could eat inside at the restaurant - very spacious! Fries were great! My husband enjoyed his cheeseburger, I really liked the BBQ with slaw and they were able to serve without the bun for me. Will eat here again!

The staff here are awesome. They are super attentive and super friendly. Always have a positive experience when I come here. Love the Fries!

Always yummy, ALL the time. Top 5 on my burger list all time! You can get a Hambugersteak 1/2 or the smaller one. The fries are always nice & hot & crunchy. Hot Dogs, delish MilkShakes, Soft drinks, pies available too! Can't go wrong for lunch, dinner or a snack. Several locations throughout Raleigh, including Wake Forest. A family fav!
