Big Cliff's BBQ

It has that " hole in the wall" taste inside a stylish and modern restaurant. This is casual eating at its finest! Come on in and seat yourself to one out of two dining rooms. This is a family friendly, kid friendly ( highchairs included) atmosphere. My husband and I got us some good ol sweet teas and the house lunch special. The lunch special runs from 12-2pm. You get 1/2 pound of bbq, a bun, and two sides of your choosing. While it was our first time trying them out, we ordered the Queso Fries. What an interesting Tex Mex combination topped with fresh corn and diced green bell peppers. We really enjoyed the entire experience.They also take orders online for your convenience. Contactless pay is at the register as well. I must say the meat's quality is great. I highly highly highly enjoyed the okra! It was PERFECTLY BATTERED to perfection and lightly salted.The regular collards we're very clean and flavorful. If youre looking for your next BBQ diner to add to your food resume, Big Cliffs BBQ should absolutely be next on your list! I know we will be back!

What a great spot for barbecue, we had the sampler that was for a party of 4 and it came could have easily fed a family of 6!! The cook/owner was extremely friendly, we had no issues with service as our waitress was very attentive. We sampled the wings, pulled chicken,ribs,brisket with sides of Mac and cheese, slaw and green beans… all were exceptional. If we weren’t on vacation and passing through I would absolutely come back to try everything on the menu, much respect for this restaurant opening during a pandemic, best of luck!

The food is awesome! In fact my boyfriend can’t stop going there since they opened. The portion sizes are just right, I almost always have leftovers to take home. This time I got the pork tacos and they were mouth watering and very tasty. I was too excited and hungry that I almost forgot to take a picture before we started eating... ha! I also got the homemade banana pudding. One recommendation is that you get there early before they run out of items on their menu which tends to happen often.

I've known JC for about 13 years now. One thing I have learned is that he likes food. When he told me a couple of years ago that he was getting into BBQ, I knew I had to try it! Today was the first chance that I got to go and try it out. It was a drive for me, but it was well worth it.

You walk in and seat yourself. The staff was friendly although running around like they were frazzled. The sweet tea was sweet! Like so sweet that if you ran out of syrup you could pour the tea over your pancakes. Hey, I'm not complaining because it was pretty good.

My wife and I ordered the queso fries. They came loaded with queso cheese, sweet BBQ sauce, chopped bell peppers and tomatoes, and cilantro (I believe). However, don't order them if you are wanting to finish the whole entree (there were a lot in there. My wife and I shared and I was not able to finish my meal - and I am a pretty big person)!

The menu offered your typical spread of BBQ - both pork and chicken. And they even offered a brisket. my wife and I both got the lunch special which was a 1/2 lb of pork BBQ, a side and a sweet tea for under $10. I got the homemade Mac and cheese and the slaw (which was pretty good. It was mayonnaise based instead of vinegar based so it lacked that tanginess. But, I thoroughly enjoyed it). My wife got the regular collards and the fried okra, which she raved about. I hate okra, but I found myself enjoying the okra from Big Cliff's BBQ.

On the downside, they do run out of stuff quickly. Not a complaint, just a FYI for you to get in early.

This place is amazing and I will be back. I will even make a special trip here just to support my friend and brother from another mother.

This is my second time visiting since they have opened. It was definitely too long between visits. I have heard good things about the wings. Those good comments weren't wrong. I had wings in the sweet BBQ sauce and tried the brisket, mac n cheese egg rolls. A to-go box went home with me. Very good! Service was friendly as well!

We stopped here for lunch after a visit to the DMV and it was amazing! The service was delightful and we loved our brisket, pulled pork, Mac n cheese and baked beans! Plus they have low carb options which were utterly delicious. Definitely a “don’t miss” if you’re in the area.

Best pullpork tacos!!! A reason to stop and eat lunch or dinner in Pickens!! That fresh Pico de gallo was the best and the super size pork yum!!!

We loved the BBQ Pork Nachos, Brisket Queso Fries, and Mac N’ Cheese….. it was all so good!

Excellent food!! Got the pulled pork sandwich for only $5! Stacked high and was great with their homemade mustard BBQ sauce! Will definitely go back

I finally got a chance to stop by here, and I was NOT disappointed in the slightest. The food was on point. I love fried okra and pulled pork. The okra was hot and well seasoned. Just like I like it. The pulled pork was very tasty. I will just make sure to get extra of the sweet Carolina sauce next time. I wanted to try the mustard based also, but I found I don't like it as much as I did as a teen. That's been a long time ago now. Apparently my tastes have changed. The Mac and cheese was really good too.
And BONUS, they had Cherry Coke. How can a place go wrong with Cherry Coke. I will definitely be back again.

What a great find!!! We were passing through Central and decided to try Big Cliff’s and we were not disappointed. The owner/chef was very friendly and the service was excellent. The BBQ and the Mushroom Swiss burger was fantastic and the homemade side dishes were perfect. Make sure you try the Cajun collards and the sweet potato crunch. We only wish we had room to try his other dishes!!! We will definitely be back!

We were greeted at the door with smiles and allowed to choose where we sat!

We didn’t initially see kid options but our waitress was so friendly and pointed them out!
She did really well and even offered to make us a bowl of water to take out to our pups in the car.
The food came out super fast !
The tea was great! Sweet and cold on a hot South Carolina day!

My husband is still talking about their Carolina Sweet sauce! It was the best we’ve had!

The okra was crisp and hot just like we like!

The Mac and cheese was creamy and cheesy …. Baked Just RIGHT! Not out the box like so many others!

We will be returning on our next trip!

Oh My Gosh!!! This place is absolutely AMAZING!!! My husband and I got the sampler with 4 meats and it all was the best thing I've ever tasted. The ribs were absolutely the best. Literally!!! The wings were fantastic also. We ordered fries and the famous Mac n Cheese and they sure named it right that correctly!!! We came to town for a weekend getaway, and found this place as we were driving. We are thrilled we did. Only disappointing thing about this place is there isn't one local to us. I'll be honest, the 3 hour drive would be worth it as good as the food is! On top of that, the service was TERRIFIC! 5 stars and beyond!!! Well done. Keep up the good service and amazing food!

Delicious!!! Kids loved the pulled pork sliders. We had ribs and pork with the sweet sauce. Coleslaw, beans, and Mac n cheese were great! We will definitely eat here again!!!

The brisket and chicken nachos were amazing. We added extra carolina sweet bbq sauce and it was even better! My husband loved the hamburger steak with the country sides. Definitely worth it! Stop by their new location in Central and try them out.

Oh my goodness!! My new favorite pla e to eat!!! Smoked wings, homemade fries, cajun collard greens, street corn, and macaroni and cheese, and oh my goodness the sweet potato crunch was so good! It was all amazing. Our waitress was fantastic. The music was great. Bravo!!!!

I am super picky (especially about BBQ) and it was so good! My new favorite BBQ place. The sweet sauce was excellent with just the right sweet without a lot of kick. Definitely worth a visit. I promise you won't be disappointed.

I would have given this place 10 stars if possible. This is one of those reviews I wrestle with posting. Mainly because of how good the food is! Once people start going I might not get in the place when everyone figures out how good it is. Lol I ordered the pulled pork entree, Mac and cheese, and home fries. Topped the pork off with the homemade holy moly sauce they make in house. Everything was delicious!
I think I have found a new home for my barbeque fix. When I go back I will try the blue berry habanero sauce.
I did buy a bottle of the holy moly to take home.
Literally the best barbeque I've had in years. Love this place and can wait to try other options on the menu, like the cowboy cheeseburger

Oh my goodness! My new favorite place! Me and my husband went tonight to check it out. I got the pork nachos which is enough for 2 people to eat. It was loaded with pork, bbq sauce, onions, pico, street corn, beans and more. It was absolutely delicious. My husband got the pork with the blue flame sauce (a blueberry bbq sauce), mashed potatoes and beans. He raved about the blue flame sauce all evening. I tried some myself and you wouldn’t think blueberry goes with bbq sauce but man oh man it is truly delicious and unique. Sweet and with a little kick to it. We also got some sweet potato crunch to try which is my weakness and it was perfect. 😍 We wish you all the best with this business and we will definitely be returning back!!! 😁
